Joe was a dear friend of mine. I remember the days back when we served together and would talk Shop/cars and how much we both loved the sport. We built my first Foxbody and I cannot forget about the phone call we had about how I was heading out to make a 15k payment for him supplying the parts and the time he spent helping me out and he said I was thinking maybe we can go look at this Saleen in Kissimmee and start another build "don't worry about the Fox drop the money towards the new build with me" unfortunately we didn't get the chance to begin the build and I ended up selling the car in 2014* #23 signed by the man himself on the dashboard I wonder who has it of course if it is not destroyed. RIP my brother.
Yea, sad story. I still remember hearing about his passing. I worked nearby and always passed by his shop, and could see the cool posters and cars inside, from the street. That corner is still empty to this day. RIP.

Joe G was a really super guy. I used to talk to him in the mid to late 90s starting on the old Saleen online BBS. He was a total straight shooter and would give you great advice with Mustangs. He knew his stuff, but was always very friendly. I was shocked when I heard of his death. It's a huge loss to the Mustang and car community.

Chick denied a poly, called him right up to when he was likely killed, then kept calling, then goes there and finds him, while not overly odd it’s distancing her from the area.
I got to see the RRR race team race at Portland international racetrack in the late 90s. I actually saw Steve Saleen & Tim Allen in the paddock but they were in a roped off area so I didn’t get to meet them.
I’ve got two right now, had three but I just got rid of one on Tuesday. Just got rid of a 93GT, I’ve got a 93 four banger getting ready for a swap and my ‘84 t-top that I bought specifically for my build. I couldn’t find a cheap Capri so I put a bubble hatch on it, the wide flat fenders are a no go though.
Oh man! I do love me a nice Pulsar! Buddy of mine had one with a red top SR back when we were in high school. 125 mph in 4th gear was impressive at the time lol.
Is it possible he got tangled up in drugs or crime, he failed a payment or ripped someone off and was made to pay the price? He told said attacker where the safe was hoping they'd take the money and call it square but they wanted the cash plus interest
Joe was very military. If you worked for him he work expose your weaknesses. If you were confident in yourself you would make it through his make him or break him trial and he would become a mentor friend and second father to you like he did myself and few others.
I'm not a Ford or Mustang guy but I respect the Fox body !!! R.I.P. Dude. I hope they find the murderer/s. Tim Allen is a great man when he's not drinking.......

Or it could be a robbery from a former employee. The guy who killed him knew where the safe was stored so it's possible he has worked at his shop.
