    This was one of the best Videos ever in you channel , i did enjoy to ear the maker of the Mustang and he is totaly right , speed does not mean Emotion.
    Electric might be the future but has nothing to do with the smell , the Down to the ground of a combustion engine or car.
    Keep it up Craig !!!!
    Much Love from Portugal/ Germany

    Love all of the custom builders ....Chip Foose, Dave Kindig, Troy Trepanier, Boyd Coddington (RIP), Joe Martin, Steve Moal, Rick Dore, etc.. But, I have to say, Steve Strope has become my all time favorite. He tweaks cars in ways you never imagined. He completely changes them...and yet, the cars never loose their personality and you always know what each one started as and still is. When you have to ask what a person has changed on the car, you know you've done it right...when it looks like it's supposed to be that way! His style is allot like the cars built for and competing in the F.A.S.T. drag racing series he described. I'm especially fond of every Mopar he has built. Plus he's down to earth. I hope to see you cranking out builds for many years to come...and hopefully on the "Hand Built Hot Rods"

    I remember when "Rides" followed the build on " Hammer" years ago! Good to see Mr Storpe getting the recognition he deserves. He and Troy Trepanier are truly in a class of their own.

    Steve storpe is the coolest guy ever! I took my boss's 1966 gto convertible for him to give us advise on how to proceed with the build and he spent about 40 minutes talking to us, gave us a tour of his shop and even signed posters of his cars for us. One of the anvil mustang, same picture that's on the thumbnail of this video and a grey 1970 camaro that has 1000 hp and it combines a Camaro with and Aston Martin. On the back bumper it has a small sticker that reads " F YOUR VEYRON" awesome dude and very talented builder.

    I honestly can’t recall most cars from Furious 4 and up.
    The cars from the first 3 movies are just the ones that stayed in memories after watching them in the theater.
    Maybe because the plots on the first 3 movies were more about the cars, and not about superhero stunts and space cars with rockets.

    • @mattc2306
      @mattc2306 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I respectfully disagree. In fact, I think the newer movies had plenty of memorable cars.
      Fast & Furious 4 had the Chevelle (both in red before being repainted carbon gray), Gran Torino Sport, Buick GNX, Nissan Skyline R34 (similar to the one from part 2 but with a solid blue color), '67 Camaro, BMW E39, Nissan 240SX S15, Subaru Impreza WRX STi, and a couple of custom Chevy trucks.
      Fast Five had the 1971 Skyline, blue Porsche 911 GT3, Ford GT40, the heist truck used in the train scene, Dodge Charger (both old and new), as well as the Dodge Challenger Hemi and Nissan GT-R carried over to the start of Fast & Furious 6.
      Speaking of, there was the Jensen Interceptor, Ford Escort 1600 RS, Ford Mustang Fastback, Dodge Charger Daytona, and International MXT.
      Furious 7 had the Plymouth Roadrunner (also seen in Tokyo Drift and the fourth movie), 1986 Chevrolet Caprice, Ford Torino Talladega, Nissan GT-R R35 (driving under a truck similar to the first movie), Lykan Hypersport, and even brought back the Toyota Supra.

    • @lb9gta307
      @lb9gta307 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely agree. I've seen all the movies but last year when I saw what was claiming to be Rome's Caprice recently for sale my first thought was "When did he drive a Caprice?" They're effectively just minor props now. You see them in a scene and they're gone.

    • @mattc2306
      @mattc2306 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess I must be the odd one out, as I tend to be overly pedantic and I liked both the older and newer F&F movies.

    That speech really touched me. And he is right. Before everyone wanted to go fast. Now going fast is not as important, because going fast means you are loosing that feeling. Yeah you can hit 60 under 3 seconds. But you'll enjoy it way more doing it under 5 while shifting and hearing your engine scream as the rebs build up.

    I've been a fan of Steve's for a long time now. Good to see his cars continue to have roles in The Fast series. As a car guy since childhood I'd love to one day meet and possibly work with him. He builds the kinds of cars I love to dream up in my head. Your videos are some of my favorite of any kind on TH-cam. Thank you for the time you've spent not only in the car world but making these videos for us all to enjoy.

    Hahahahaha!!!!! Your description of parts that typically got purchased the next day of car ownership was spot on to what I did with my first car. Almost exact!! I had a brownish gold/ vinyl top/ blacked out chrome & grill/ dark tented windows 75 Dodge Dart Swinger with the 318ci motor that was a one owner for real little old lady with like 35,000 miles on it. The first thing I did was "The next day purchase", Chrome valve covers/T handles, chrome bigger oil pan, Accel wires/coil/dustributor, chrome cragers/dropped/cut springs/2" in front (205 55 15) jacked/5" via longer rear hang knuckle for the leaf springs in rear (235 65 15), the and the rest of your list. Addition of a chrome (which leaked often) 4 barrel intake & carb. Chrome headers. Topping all was an odd air cleaner with no sides so you saw the air filter, chrome top and it was the same 8 inch or so diameter as the carb channel opening. Removed stock mufflers and new cherry bombs. It rumbeled & screamed. Had an amazing loud air suction sound from the air filter. Handled horribly around corners and over bumps/pot holes but man it was fun for 13.8 seconds vs. High 16 low 17 with the 2 barrel and stock. It got faster as I changed more parts and learned how to set timing, adjust fuel & changed the cam/valves/rockers/port & polish heads. My last name is Ott and the car had giant stickers on the back window declaring it the "OTTRod" with "Bye Bye!" below & the phrase "How Fast?" On the top of the windsheild. Fun, dumb & young!

    I don’t understand why they don’t use classic muscles cars in the fast and furious movie? I think classic muscle car real American car and they don’t use them enough. Any can buy a new mustang, corvette, Camaro, charger, and challenger. I love new cars to but movie cars should be cars that you don’t see or dream cars to work hard to get or build.

      $$$ They need to pay for classics, while Dodge (or whatever they are called these days) pays them to use newer models... all a money game in the end. just my 0.02$
