Well, it wouldn't be a Pixel launch without a massive leak. Honestly, the Titanic was better at preventing leaks than Google is. I just hope they plan to offer generous trade ins for the Pixel Fold 2, or whatever they call it.
It's officially called Pixel9ProFold
It's all marketing schemes and it's working for them
It's a marketing scheme, there's no such thing as a "leak" 🤦🏽♂️
Any update from Google about your phone? Are you going to try and send it in again? I'm concerned as I got one a few weeks ago for a discounted price, but won't be happy if it cracks after 6 months with no warranty
Just received my Pixel 9 Pro Fold Thinborne case on the same day it was revealed that the wireless charging coil is not centered on the phone. Will be interesting to see if the centered magsafe feature of the case allows the phone to charge on a magsafe power bank. I have my doubts.
Can't wait for this update Fold. I'm hoping for Wireless charging, MagSafe is a nice to have, and a little lighter with slightly thinner bezels.i hope they don't go too tall in the front screen, one of my few complaints of my OnePlus Open.
I want to buy the Pixel Fold 2 since the Fold 6 is a big let down with the outer display. But the only annoying thing is Google doesn't use Snapdragon Chip in there Fold phone.
Hold out until 2025 when google will be switching chip makers from samsung to tsmc and their first fully custom tensor chip .
I just had a random thought about the Fold camera bump situation while watching your video - could a reason for the difference (using a top-corner island rather than the full width bar) be at least partly because of balance in hand?
I imagine the hinge has at least some additional weight to it compared to the 'open' side, so having the camera module on one side might help to balance that out somewhat while you're holding it. I dunno, maybe that's over thinking it? Or maybe just hoping that there's a reason for the design choice because, for what it's worth, I very much prefer the look and practicality of the 'bar'.
Great vid as always. I'm excited for the hardware changes. But I need to see what they are doing on the software side. Lack of floating windows is killing me with devices as big as the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
Probably quite a reach from me, but with the magnets in the case and the stand compatibility I wonder if the Pixel 9 devices support qi 2 charging. The line below the circle of magnets is to keep the cable and charger aligned on magsafe cases.
Thinborne posted pics on reddit of the pixel fold 2 case months ago. They were pics of early production cases they were making. Thats how i knew all the rumors about the fold 2 were true.
Yep lol

I have seen probably 50 or so reviews of the Pixel Fold (yours obviously being one of the the best) and everyone is talking about the amazing feel of the outer screen. I don’t understand why Google or another Phone Company doesn’t pick up on this and make a slab phone with the same (or similar) dimensions. It would be the Blackberry Feel but properly done. Do you understand why no one picks this up?
I really don't get it lol. I'd love to see a slab with the Fold's ratio.
What are the final dimensions? It's it bigger than the OnePlus Open?
If this is the Fold 2 then I am for sure going for that over the Zfold 6.
I have the z fold 5 but wanna try this if its true
I personally love pixel phones but I hate their reliability and their customer support . I would consider buying a pixel fold at a massive discount and I would add some 3rd party extended warranty against damages.
So everyone is going for this pamphlet looking phone now. I guess it's time to fire up my Surface Duo 2 for another year or two
Not loving the tall form factor of the PF2
Really interesting. I've mentally moved on from the disappointing Fold 6 so this may ultimately be my next phone... Though I am very happy w/my OnePlus Open.
OnePlus Open Gang!
Im going to keep my pixel fold until 2025 . I'm holding out until the tsmc tensor g5 chips come out which will be a game changer.
Looks like an obvious candidate for purchase, Google store opened in the Czech Republic recently so I should have a better chance to grab one once released (last year, I arrived via unofficial channels as late as in October)...
I'm just putting this out there, Google should've named the foldable "Pixel Book" . Thanks for the video 🤙
If the fold 6 budget is true how long do you think it takes for others to follow? LIke a pixel fold a.
Kinda hope this happens because the price will drop on the old ones, and I really want a pixel fold that I can afford. I’m hoping for a discounted price and trade in’s for the old phones.
I can't wait to see what the OnePlus Open 2 will be like!
I hope they offer good trade-in value for the pixelfold.
Y the apple camera style bump on the fold, the current fold is the only phone I can set on a table and be stable enough to text
Companies love making phones that sit unstabley on a desk. The iPhone 5S was design genius.
Seems Google is getting into the Apple/Samsung hardware offerings
- Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold...
- iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max
- Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra
I really hope you all wrong about the camera design I really do. I really hope they keep it as the 9 pro or the way it was before
I'll get the fold as soon as prices drop below $400
The leaks are intentional.I am returning my z fold 6 based on these leaks 😂.Holding on to the fold 5 for now
So does this mean the 9 series will be Magsafe 2?
That's what I am wondering as well. We keep hearing that MagSafe is coming to Android but so far no phones have had it.
It doesn't make sense to have the Pixel Fold 2 to abandon the design language of every other phone in the Pixel lineup.
Lol. The pixel 9 pro case .. sold out. Interesting
new hair cut ;)
Yeah 69$ is too much for a case
this gonna be the last pixel fold. Now they are just following samsung
No matter how much google or samsung improve there will always be a chinese brand beating them in terms of overall value..
oopseee
The Pixel 9 pro fold being visorless is a huge letdown....the visor IS the Pixel identifier.
No more Pixel fold
