Jax, I’ve never heard of you before in my life, but I got this song recommended to me by my girlfriend and I lost my mind when I saw this. It feels like a salute to the last nostalgic generation before the internet and technology took over. You’ve got a new fan, respect
I'd say that the 2000 did too because a lot of the technology that we have now we didn't exist yet, a lot of the app weren't a thing, TH-cam was really new and didn't really have anything. Like I was born in the early 2000 and I remember listening to music on a CD player, when I told my brother what a CD player was he looks at it like it's ancient and back then it was super cool that I had my own. A lot of early 2000 kids still went outside to play because we didn't have phones touch screens were a thing but they were new. We had razor scooters, and I had a tamagotchi, bratts, and littlest pet shops were a thing. And I remember my father's phone the 1st one I remember was a remember it was a flip phone and the 1st one I got had a keyboard. Technology didn't start to take over until the 2010s which around the time I got my 1st phone. My little brother who was born in the 2010s has a phone the phone that he listens to music or plays video games 24/7 on I had a CD player and and a gameboy of I was stuck inside.
You're only a 90s kid if you were born in the 80's. If you missed half of the decade then you're definitely NOT a 90s kid LOL...90's kids were kids ALL throughout the 90s not part of it.

As someone who was born in 1985, I can attest to the fact that being a kid in the '90s was an unforgettable experience. To me, both the '80s and '90s were the last great Golden age of kids and teenagers. During that time, you had everything that a child could ask for - the latest music, memorable family trips, toys that sparked your imagination, movies and TV shows that left a lasting impression, and a sense of adventure that was unmatched. Looking back, I can't help but feel nostalgic for those days - they were truly special.
Born 1986. You know what sticks with me the most? Literally waiting for 10AM every day in the summer, so I could go find my friends in the neighborhood. I didn't know what we were going to get into that morning, but I knew the day was going to be a banger....every single time.
The more i think about it...the biggest change is electronics went form a backup to a primary form of entertainment in the 2000s-2010s. In the 1990s. It was playing wiffleball, going to the pool, flashlight tag, water fights, etc first. On a rainy day epic systems like Nintedo 64 were starting to transform the gaming industry and we got to experience it first. So much fun.
They really were. I am so happy no one really had cell phones in the 90s. Well, my dad got one in like 96 or 97. But I didn't until 2004 or 2005. And I was born in '86. I liked how much time we spent outdoors. And I loved the family vacations and movies and shows that left a lasting impression. And the toys that definitely ßparked imagination. K'nex and lego which my brother ànd i eventually just built out-of thinks with. I have the roller coaster k'nex and eventually turned it into a ferris wheel that worked. Good times.

Where the kids actually played outside without their phones.. Where your parents told u to come home when the lights go on.. Where we actually talked to one and other face to face... I miss it.
Im not a 90s kid but this is a really good song 💖🔥

Lyrics :
Whoa
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s
It's our generation
We need conversation
In a nation with no communication
A little Easy-Baked
We're kinda lost, yeah
But we're on a break, man
Rachel and Ross said
We're going down with the ship, Leonardo
Put on your Boks and your Docs
And we'll kick it at the bar
No cash but we turn it up to ten though
Fam, I'm just tryna get Super Smashed Nintendo
So light it up, up
We're hella fucked up
Take a hit me one more time
Like Britney, bitch
Bottoms up, up
Here's to us
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s kids (whoa)
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s kids (whoa)
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s
Chilling on the rooftop
Smushing bread stalls
Wasting more white
You're killing me, Smalls
(You're killing me, Smalls)
We're going down with the ship, Leonardo
Put on your Boks and your Docs
And we'll kick it at the bar
No cash but we turn it up to ten though
Fam, I'm just tryna get Super Smashed Nintendo
So light it up, up
We're hella fucked up
Take a hit me one more time
Like Britney, bitch
Bottoms up, up
Here's to us
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s kids (whoa)
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s kids (whoa)
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s
Do you got a tamagotchi
Like a real tamagotchi
Does you know what tamagotchuu
If you tamagotmee
(Oh no, it died)
So light it up, up
We're hella fucked up
Take a hit me one more time
Like Britney, bitch
Bottoms up, up
Here's to us
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s kids (whoa)
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s kids (whoa)
Tell 'em that we do it for the '90s
We appreciate you!

90's kids yessssssss. The new Anthem- such feel good nostalgia, I couldn't love it more
I really resonated with this song.. it's so sad to me that internet and computers kind of ruined it for me. Even early 2000 would suffice but this new generation makes me sad. Wish it was the 90's again.
if it helps, every generation in history has felt like that. the current generations aren’t really worse, it’s just perspective
@@ashert4918
But the world they have to contend with IS worse, you can't deny that- I don't envy Gen Z or Gen Alpha, if they make it through ww3 they are still gonna have to repair the climate, and capitalism can't sustain itself at this rate, it'll have to collapse and be re-built into something better or it's going to be rich folks and the people who serve them (it's basically that way now, and if Republicans have their way...
We are all screwed, haha.
Well, everyone but the 1%, they gonna be golden, living in their moon colonies while we slave away to produce goods for them on the toxic remnants of a smouldering Earth...)
I literally believe that will be the future, if we don't stand up NOW for real human rights...
Anyway.
Sorry to go there, I just can't stop thinking about it all, it's a messed up world we are trying to live in rn, and it SCARES ME...
I wish my little brother was here ... to hear that song ....😭😭😭 we definitely would of done it for the 90s kids😭😭 R.I.P little man

I'm sorry 😢
Rest in peace 😭🤧

I am pregnant and feeling nauseated this morning. I didn't expect to watch your video today and see puking!
That being said I absolutely LOVE this song and video!!! It instantly took me back to the scrambler ride when I was 10 and hit me with all the nostalgia... or maybe I should say nausea-stalgia? :)
@@jaxwritessongs no need to apologize! Nausea is temporary, nostalgia is forever lol!

I am a 90s kid. And I can say the nostalgia is real 😂. Lack of Furbies and Beenie babies though. Parents went freakin nuts to get their kids those

@MrsBlackTonks it still made noise after you took out the batteries 😂😂😂
I was born in 2012 and have 70 beanie babies!
TH-cam show me what originality looks like….Jax is so talented!! Great song!!
I literally just discovered this song and I can't stop listening to it she's so good!
Me too
Man I was born in 1980 this song brings back memories!!! Thank you jax for showing out my generation!!!
I thank the world everyday I was born in the early 90s,growing up as a kid without internet access ,social media ,easy phone access etc was a blessing and no music these days comes close to comparing with 90s songs 👌What a decade to be alive ! 😁
Late 80s baby but the 90s raised me. Love this and all her other songs so far! Loved seeing the Great Hambino on here. I've got my kids watching the Sandlot on a regular basis- they love it!
This song is so beautiful. I want to go back to 90's before the world got all messed up. It really shows how things were so much better before iphones and tiktoks overtook the world.
I ain't even from the 90s and I agree
Yess early 2000s kid here and I agree
I'm from the 2000's kids and I agree
the world was aways messed up you just notice it with the advent of the internet
Oh my gosh! That’s the actual dude who played in the sand lot!

I immediately looked up Jax on TH-cam after seeing how good your songs were on tiktok. I dont regret it at all. Huge fan! Love love love all your songs
I remember seeing this and I thought it was really good, and it very much is! After she made the Victoria's Secret song I now think she may be my favorite artist!
I loved this song and the one about her father but Victoria's secret is a fucking masterpiece.
@@stonerbabe89cs exactly
I love this song too
I was going to make this exact same comment! Jax is def my favourite artist. Won me over with her personality, thoughtfulness and sense of humour ❤
As an 80’s kid & a 90’s teen I can appreciate this. 💖🖤💖🖤
Same here born in 1980!!
I was watching this video, and the MOMENT I saw the guy from The Sandlot, I messaged my friend who sent this to me. I was SUPER excited! LOVE IT!!! And then continued the callback to The Sandlot with them hurling! EPIC!!! Ah... my childhood is super happy about this one.
80s kid hear, Brings back memories. Keep up the good work jax
Love you Jax! This is pure nostalgia. I was born in 1992 . It's literally the best generation ever ! . We were the last generation to play outside , build snow forts , play with tomagatchis and Nintendo 64, sleepovers and 3 way calling . Thanks for making this song . You are a gem 💎 ✨️
Hehe I will have you know I was born in 2008 and have done all of those things except tomagatchis and Nintendo 64, but I've also never had ANY kind of gaming console sooo.... lol
If you were born in 1992 then you’re not the 90 generation you are 10 years late but still you weren’t born with internet which is not that bad …
@@jenhisdee you must be really naiive to say something like that. If I'm born in 1992 how the eff am I NOT apart of the 90s generation lol. 😅🤣
Edit : also the internet was just beginning to become normal in early 1990s and in 1992 the term " surfing the net " became popular. So yes . I did grow up with internet.

Absolutely loving you, Jax. My daughter is 6 and obsessed with your Victoria’s Secret song and I could not be prouder.
This is probably by far my favorite song that she hav made I just love how energetic it is and how her voice just flows so good!
This was a year ago? Just barley hearing it , 90s was best part of my childhood what a ride man
Same! I was just looking through her other music because I heard Victoria’s Secret on the radio again. Now I’m having Problem Child 2 flashbacks. 😂 still one of the grossest scenes I’ve ever watched. Murder, gore, I’m good. Someone pukes, I’m outta here. 😅
I’m born in the really late 2000s and this is my favorite song anyways, all my friends were born in the really early 2010s and yet my favorite decade is the 90s because I love the music, the games, the everything. This song is everything. You’ve gained a fan!! Love your music!! This song was all nostalgia.
2000’s but we also had all of these things as well

Born in 85, grew up in the 90s... there was nothing like it
I want this to be so much longer, this is so good
I was born in 85, I grew up during the 90s, I can relate too this song, and watched the sandlot a bunch of times over the years, haha them throwing up takes me bk too on the sandlot they took a big chew of tobacco and threw up lol, I like how Jax has that virtual pet ,I remember when they come out my sister had one, we didn't have cellphones and tablets, going too the fair once a year was a treat, killer song, You did an Awesome Job Jax, keep up the good work
90’s kids have the best childhood experience and memories. No toxic social medias, no gadgets, just playing real kids’ games 😊
Literally
This popped up randomly in my mix, not my usual, but the video instantly made me want to watch and I fell on love with this song.
I cannot get enough of this. We needed a 90's kids anthem 💚
The video is awesome! The ride reminds me of what it feels like looking back on those years. A whirlwind of things, some things fun, some things 'came back up' later in life, but all in all, what a ride it was.
She is going to get far and she deserves it. She is amazing.
Absolutely love it! I'm a 90s kid! And this was insane, gave me goosebumps, good job girl! Proud of you 💜💜💜
This song is simply platinum and unstoppable, absolutely perfect.

This is the coolest song! My mom is a 90s kid and the way she explains it I wish I could have been a 90's kid.
