Really appreciate another techs reccomendations. How often do you change your lamps? Professionals working full time are advised to change their lamps yearly or every 2 years by manufacturers
Hey Katie-loved this vid! I was so excited to hear about the Presto no wipe top coat for chrome. However when I went to check it out on Vacationnails, I saw that it is a hard gel. Do you use this over all gels you use chrome on, including soft gel?
Kokoist UG has been my top no wipe for so long!! Izemi resin mid for a wipe top. They're similar viscosity and durability. As for favorite products, besides those icegel sunset powders, I really love Bonnie bee and Mabusa chrome powders. The Mabusa see through purple is probably my favorite. It looks amazing over everything. Mag gels!! There are so many I'm obsessed with but Mithmillo persona and icegel white collection are my favorites. I'm completely obsessed.
Do you think the pitting/separation with the kokoist topcoat and fgel polishes could be eliminated if you were to use a base coat first? I just ordered this top coat and trying to troubleshoot issues before they possibly arise lol
I haven’t tried that but maybe! I could also try cleansing the gel polish first to remove any inhibition layer, but they usually don’t have much tackiness to them at all.
Heyyyy doll! I have the MPA pallet and absolutely love it! Your original video made me buy it lol and I used your code! Had it since September ❤ how do you find you combat the streaking when doing like characters etc? I've used base coat under it and that helps some... ❤❤❤
@@BooCreamy I haven’t ever had that! They always look smooth even now. Is it possible the colors are getting a little bit cured? Like they are out by a window or something?
@@NailsByKatieDutra nope! I keep them put away just like you do! But because they are very thick when I'm painting it don't self level really... so there's the spots I have to hit with a base coat and then top coat to smooth it out!

Try sending Zillabeau an email. Sometimes they have items in stock even if they're not available on the website. I've gotten quite a few things that were oos just by emailing.

I use it over all my structure gels/builder gels. Some are hard gel and some are soft gels. I’ve never used it over a classic gel polish mani though.
Do you have a favourite matt topcoat?
I like the Kupa Matte! And the DymeNails one is awesome also ☺️

Ooooh I have that purple chrome too and it’s so pretty! I agree, I think magnetic gels have really gotten good the past year 🙌🏻
Hii ☺ Do you like to use a particular top coat over pigments? Have you ever run into issues with pigments chipping like chrome?
I always make sure to file the edges before top coat and haven’t had any issues! ❤️

I’m not sure what you mean by streaking? I’ve never had anything like that 🤔

do only gel paints work in palettes or could you transfer bottled gels?
I might be able too, you will just have to be extra careful not to tip the palette sideways etc. Since gel polish is usually a little more runny ☺️
