Changed fluid on my 2011 Frontier about 5 years ago & was first diff. fluid change, now ready again. Question, do i need a new crush washer or would it be ok & next Diff. Chamge replace then? Ihave 151k maintained miles. No leaks
You gotta go by what your manual says. I find Nissan uses different fluid in the rear from the front. I don't want to give you the wrong answer. I will say, if you have 4x4, very important to regularly replace the fluid in the transfer case.
Thanks Dude !
Nice video. What's your opinion on using a thread sealant like Loctite Red on the fill plug? Since it has no washer, is that a good idea or not?
Red is bad for most applicatioins. It is not needed. It does not leak.
@@RideWNC Sorry. I meant the Loctite Blue 243 sealant (oil resistant)?
@@s.benedetto2147 It will not leak.

If it is a brass Nissan crush, rreplace it. If it is an aluminum crush it should be good.

Where did you get little pump bottle?
Lubrimatic Pump. Usually at Marine Stores. eBay. New Gear Oil comes in a squeezable tube. much easier. Valvoline at Wal Mart.
What size socket did you use for filling plug
Looks like 12mm for the drain and 14mm for the fill.
Great video. I’m trying to find a square 14mm male socket and can’t seem to source one. Can you recommend a manufacturer/Amazon link?
@@finefuelmoisturecodeit’s a Allen socket not a square
