You're right about that. Coming from Australia I could not believe the options available in Bangkok, and how easy renting was compared to back home. I'm in Prompong right now at The Estelle condo, and have no desire to ever rent again in Australia. I love it here!
Things you need in Bangkok - a bed, a fridge, aircon. The rest is just superfluous 😂 but seriously these tiny condos are brilliant for a single person so you made a great choice there. Most people I know who live there never ever cook. You can eat out for no money at all - 50Baht for a fabulous bowl of noodles from a street cart. Pick up a bag of fruit for 20Baht. Even an evening meal can be had for 100Baht. You mentioned travelling around. Do it, you must, as it is a fabulous country. Enjoy 😊
Hi Dence, I agree about hate paying crazy rents in the west especially after experiencing the awesome and cheap accommodation of South East Asia particularly Thailand 🇹🇭, not to forget about cheap transportation, food etc.

Bangkok has something for everyone. The same can be said about the rest of Thailand as well.
