Yes! Yes... and no. So Saturn and the Moon can be seen as the dad and mom (Saturn=Capricorn, Moon=Cancer). But so can the Sun be the dad. And honestly, Saturn is more like the grandpa because Saturn rules old age. The Capricorn/Cancer dad and mom pairing reminds me of, like, 1950's marriages where the dad worked and the mom stayed home taking care of kids--and the dad had absolutely no clue what went on emotionally for the mom. Im a cancer sun /venus in gemini married to a scorpio sun/venus in Sagittarius I honestly think the only water sign for cancer is scorpio because they both have a protective shell that can protect them from eachothers passive aggressive behavior. A pisces has nothing to protect against cancer/scorpio passive aggressiveness. And therefore could really get emotionally damaged if in a relationship with the wrong cancer or scorpio.

I’m a sun Cancer venus Gemini and the person in my life who I have a special relationship with is a sun Leo venus Libra.
I have never quite met someone like him, we were friends for awhile and even though we got along we focused or paid more attention to other people in our life. (I was closer with his best friend and he was closer to my good friend) but something brought us together and we talked more deeply and realized how much we have in common with the way we think. He is more logical and I’m more emotional. I have never met someone in my life who has made me feel so seen or heard and I really appreciate it. He’s also the type that doesn’t tell me what I want to hear, he gives me it straight on but also listens to me openly without judging. I struggle with romantic emotions but this person is someone I truly am grateful for to have in my life and I see him a little more special than most people!
I remember I have this classmate who's a cancer(he's male btw) I'm a Pisces and I have this very soft spoken voice because I don't want to make other people feel hurt they might think that I hate them when I talk loudly to them( I don't know if it's a big deal to some of you here but for me it really is) When he talks to other ppl he tends to be harsh or defensive maybe because he took things personally but when he talks to me he's just soft spoken and he doesn't sound harsh at all. He also throws tantrums as well very moody and I understand why he's like that because he's basically a cancer.

The Capricorn/Cancer dad and mom pairing reminds me of, like, 1950's marriages where the dad worked and the mom stayed home taking care of kids--and the dad had absolutely no clue what went on emotionally for the mom. (There's a ton of shows about this, where they go into the private lives of '50s housewives who were supposed to be perfectly satisfied just with child-rearing. They were not. They needed more.) Anyways that was quite a rant lol. My only main point here is that a Capricorn without strong water will not satisfy a Watery woman. He simply will not. But yes. Capricorn and Cancer do work very well in the familial sense. On those simplest terms, yes. But yeah. The cancer (especially cancer moon) will want emotional bonding and vulnerability. And the capricorn (especially moon) will struggle with that if they don’t have other things in the chart to help.

I’m a Cancer woman with Aquarius moon, my husband is Capricorn man, with cancer moon, we have been married for 24 years, Cancer and Capricorn are each other’s polar opposite, which the saying is true opposites attract, our marriage has strong and weak points. Strong points are it’s very traditional he goes of to work and I stayed home with kids, he supports and I nurture, mother/ father. I would say weak points are, even though he has cancer moon, it doesn’t help, it actually makes things worse, it just means he does feel things and being Capricorn he can’t show or Express feelings or emotions, because in his own sun and moon signs he struggles with them being polar opposite, Capricorn sun, Cancer moon, biggest drawback is he does have boring grandfather energy and I’m always desiring deeper emotional connection, that I have learned to find in friendship with girlfriends and family, but truthfully wish I had with it with my partner, I have accepted that it’s not happening. Earth does give stability and water needs that, still for water the longing for more is always there, in our situation. But it works if Cancer can find a different way to meet the emotional needs.

I agree with most of this aside from Virgo. I'm a Cancer man and I've always been pretty compatible with Virgos. Scorpio and Taurus are my favorites though when it comes to romantic chemistry and affection.
Scorpio and Taurus with Cancers is top tier forever. I feel like the dynamic can be a bit different with Virgo women and Cancer men (rather than Virgo men with Cancer women.) The criticism can be so painful to Cancers! But perhaps when it's a woman Virgo, she will be more gentle, just because that's what is expected of women.

I honestly think the only water sign for cancer is scorpio because they both have a protective shell that can protect them from eachothers passive aggressive behavior. A pisces has nothing to protect against cancer/scorpio passive aggressiveness. And therefore could really get emotionally damaged if in a relationship with the wrong cancer or scorpio.
