I'm Scorpio rising, moon in 8th house, moon as soul planet (sidereal system) so in a way, blend of Scorpio and Cancer myself. What you mentioned is very true in that scorpionic energy tends to give a tough first half of life filled with transforming experiences to jolt us into major growth. I have noticed that with age, it is harder for me to engage with more delicate emotional types (say an immature cancer) in close relationships. The Cancer person needs to have other energies in their chart that has given them that toughness in addition to the emotionality for it to work imo. I'm Scorpio rising, moon in 8th house, moon as soul planet (sidereal system) so in a way, blend of Scorpio and Cancer myself. What you mentioned is very true in that scorpionic energy tends to give a tough first half of life filled with transforming experiences to jolt us into major growth. I have noticed that with age, it is harder for me to engage with more delicate emotional types (say an immature cancer) in close relationships. The Cancer person needs to have other energies in their chart that has given them that toughness in addition to the emotionality for it to work imo. This coming from a Scorpio who is now seeing a Cancer (with Scorpio and Sag blend) who has that and it's just effortless.
