Omg this takes me back so much. Between the years of 1989 and 1992 especially, I would just play this channel and watch it for sometimes hours actually. I was ages 4-7. Yeah I was weird. I didn't go out much but between this and the Weather Channel, they were my comfort a lot. Hell, now that I'm in my 30s, I often look for videos like this as well as old Weather Channel long broadcasts. I miss my childhood so much. These were also greater and simpler days. Even when they changed this format to the more vibrant one from like 1993-1998 I still watched, and a little after it became the "TV Guide Channel". Thank you for posting this.
THANK YOU!!!! God, the soundtrack of my childhood. I'd leave Prevue Guide on just to sit and stare at it. Some of my earliest drawings feature Prevue Guide in them. I was a strange kid, but I definitely wasn't the only one.

No, I watch cause I like the music too, and it brings back memories of a good time in my life, there's actually even a prevue guide wiki. And, I do like black backgrounds, despite what people say about them
@thesnare100 because of the signal that prevue had. their music was powered by a FM station. however the music was actually used by CDs or an intercom radio station that Played Back later when the Blue guide debuted.
I don't know why this song is so popular, I thought I'd be the only one and be considered weird if I said I liked it, some people actually want the MP3!
@thesnare100 yes it has. my video is the clearest. it depends on how old it is. it was crecorded on EP instead of SP. this right here is a simulated prevue guide. its not real. the audio is the video tape. mine is done on SP. its from the username of the person who recorded it i just did a dubbed version of the 1993 music that wasn't on youtube.
This is the only music I can ever remember it having when it was prevue GUIDE, yes GUIDE, not channel, when it changed to the prevue channel in 93. (Except for seasonal stuff) Anyway, so there was music before this (presumably in era 1) do you have that in one of your videos?
@Ryuuji14 Still kinda confused. I thought pretty much all the videos of prevue guide on youtube come from videotape recordings of it back when it existed. But because tapes wear out/wear down and have been played too much, the reason I'm guessing yours is better is because the tape wasn't played too much it was sitting somewhere unplayed (or not very much played) for a long time
Music is the clearest I've ever heard (of prevue on you tube I mean) but I'm wondering why some of them, the screen is frozen, like this one. Is it an emulator made in powerpoint (like some other people are doing)
What was era 1? And you say era 2 song 1, as far as I know, this is the only music they used from 88- to 93, when it became prevue CHANNEL, instead of prevue guide, with a new layout
