Gargos is definitely one of my favorite decks that I have. I love being able to summon hydras as 4/4s with out putting much mana into them. But who am I kidding if I have spare mana I am making them big, especially with unbound flourishing or doubling season.

The Gargos {4} cost reducer is specially good for real hydras, because after playing gargos, you have at least 6 mana, but your hydras can be +4 with his ability... Shapeshifters are normally little creatures that you want to cast on your first turns (except for Faceless Agent, that one is pretty good at any stage of the game), before you even had the chance to play Gargos... After Gargos some of them might be free spells, but really not impactful enough. I also think that' Gargos' true power in the format is his triggered ability so it made sense to me to go for a good mono green deck, with only a few good hydras.

This deck has Gargos as its commander, it's full of hydras and it beat a Rusko... IT'S PERFECT PERIOD!
