Trust me u dont want that. For example in Pubg Mobile u can choose any map but some map dont even find a match because ppl only play 2 maps(Erangel Event mode and Livik normal and event mode)
The way PUBG thinks about SMG is that for so long it is a hotdrop weapon, a placeholder until you find an AR. They want to change that, so you can carry the SMG to the endgame. No limb multiplier will make SMG worse than AR in TTK in every range pretty much. The accuracy increase in this patch is about the same with giving SMG an inate laser sight, the ADS accuracy is still the same, in 30m+ spray, the bullets still deviate from the scope reticle. The recoil is pretty much the same. You can try using mp5/vector with a laser sight and a silencer, the crosshair when overshoulder is so tight you don't even need to ADS sub 20m.

I just did some preliminary testing in game, and the ADS doesn't seem to have changed too much. Still a laser beam for the most part, but it's not 40% buffed like hip-fire or OTS. Feels about the same overall. The thing is, with the accuracy and spread buff, plus limb damage bonus, it might even be to your benefit to just shoot OTS in short-med range vs ADS because your "misplaced" limb shots might do more dmg. Sorta like a shotgun in that regard...
Something that will be interesting to see is how the red zones are affected when it comes to "randomization" as before...now it sounds like it will be a much more focused area of effect as compared to the old red zone. That's how I read into that part of the patch notes, especially that last bullet point, which is a HUGE change and big plus in my opinion! Seems like a dang good change!
@@zayso773 bullets come out of the barrel, not the sight/scope, so if you're too close it may look like you're aiming at the enemy but you're really aiming at the bars. not sure you knew that, hope it helps.
Destructible buildings and dynamic weather was among the things Player Unknown really wanted to get into PUBG back in the early days but which never made it. Good to see the destructible buildings finally get's rolling. I hope cars will also eventually be able to damage buildings, as I feel high speed crashes with cars should be able to smash down light wooden walls etc.
I'm an SMG enjoyer, love the MP5K, Vector, and JS9, but I really didn't feel like they needed a buff at all. If anything, all I would have asked for is a spawn rate increase for SMG extended and extended quick mags, all I ever find are quickdraws. Also having some more 9mm DMR options would encourage SMG use rate more I think.
Hmm, so based on them having the limb damage multiplier before, my thoughts were always that the SMG was a gun designed where you run out from behind a corner spraying hip fire at someone close to close-mid range, the bullets will go all over the place but the damage will be very consistent no matter where it lands (due to limb multiplier). If they're upping the accuracy on hip fire spray (and shoulder but I don't use that) while running, I can see that as a good thing as it further solidifies the gameplay style of using an smg, which is really run-and-gun (and I don't think affects mid range since you'll be ADSing for that anyways). But they probably don't need the limb damage multiplier anymore in that case if you can more reliably just aim center mass and hit center mass without the bullets suddenly deviating everywhere after 2 bullets. On the topic of making smgs more used, imo, that's pretty much impossible unless they make them just more like rifles or they significantly change the maps. Like pubg is generally open fields with scattered cover. Even if the final circle is in a city, probably all the circles before that have some degree of openness and it's not like you'll always be able to control the fighting conditions. So you take a rifle that can deal with all ranges, including close range, or you take an smg that forces you to work extra hard to bring fights into close range...
while you make some good points, I tend to say that it's a tactical decision. If you have an SMG and a DMR, you effectively have the best DPS options for close range and then mid-long range but it's all about how you play. You can't play the same way as you can with an AR vs SMG without a disadvantage. and that's fine. So just remove LDM and we're in OK shape.
I definitely like the idea that we will see a much wider spread of weapons being used throughout games, as long as the SMGs are not OP. Perhaps the limb multiplier should be reverted now. I can this this being much nicer when playing on console too. I will definitely be running some SMGs to try this out, but I am a bit worried
@CDome all I'm saying is it would be great to see a gunplay balance that allows you to be successful and skilled with any weapon. I think of Battlefield 4, if you've ever played that - there are 40+ primary weapons and you can still do great with any of them. I agree this particular change to the SMGs is probably not the way to do it.
A+ update. The increased visuals plus destruction (if added to most maps) will make Player Unknown Battle Grounds-Battlegrounds (lol) the best BR on the market again. SMG buff- for casuals! and new players. I play with random squads almost every game and the newer players pick up SMG and snipers the most. I agree with you on the long range vs short range sprays. AR should still win 150m and further, low diff.
It's when you hold the aim button (rmb) with standard controls. If you play in first person it's hard to see, your character just brings the gun up a bit and your crosshair tightens a bit. In third person it's when your character brings their gun up to their shoulder, but you don't go into first person to aim down the sight.
What happen to the server merge reverse??? Seems like they did not seperate US/SA before merge 20-30 ping after 50-60 and new update 40-50, and they over laid the tab to join teams.... that speak your language. But it wass the teams settings tab now gone
@CDome yeah mates and i call it the novy or drag, but the fact it has that capability when the winchester doesnt. Just feel like winchester needs a buff, before they added the sight it was one tap to lvl 2, i use to smash so many people with it then they nerfed and added sight and unless meme no point using it.
only change PUBG need is faster vaulting and faster recover after jumping from heights, died so many times cos it takes 1000 seconds to be able to shoot after i jumped from roof or after i vaulted window...
I am a brand new player, like less than a week of play and I'm confused about the smg buffs. I've been using them as my primary weapon like all the way until end game. For me they feel the easiest to use, aim with and has most sustainability (for me personally).

We’ve tried many times with multiple numbers, but they don’t send anything. He even emailed PUBG and they are investigating the problem, but I don’t know if they’ll find a fix. So if anyone has had this problem before, we could really use the fix. This problem happened to me when I changed the computer language and time to China.

SMGs should be good for hot drops and CQC and ARs should be better for mid to long range. Why change that? I understand they want to make game more noob friendly, but it really sucks when I'm running beryl and some new player kills me just because he has op gun (JS9, MP9) that does't require any skill at all. We were all noobs at some point, thats part of the charm, you play more and you get better and it feels really good. It feels rewarding. I understand why they are doing it but SMGs are getting really op. TGLTN, as pro player, said on multiple ocassions that recoil on the beryl is too hard, that even he has problems controling it with over 12k hours, and then we have JS9, UMP, MP9... that can be equiped with 4x which have literally 0 recoil. They should find differrent way to make game more noob friendly. Btw thanks for updating us on everything concerning pubg, keep up the great work
I mean I agree that smgs really shouldn't accel at any kind of distance fight, as I'm a fan of them being designed for run-and-gun play. Though at the same time I don't necessarily subscribe to the idea that a beryl should necessarily always beat an smg. I mean from the perspective of long range if you can control a beryl and hit them in the head at least once you should basically win even now due to it's damage, rate of fire, and bullet velocity. But I also think in some ways the beryl being unrealistically difficult to control makes a bit of sense, because it can act like a rifle at mid-long range, but it also borrows the sheer DPS and killing speed at close range due to its rof, and it's not a crate gun. Maybe all they need to do now, since they've buffed the shoulder and hip fire accuracy, is to remove limb damage multipliers for smgs. That way, even though the smg has low recoil, at a distance you'll still have to make sure you point at their head or mid chest to maximize damage. Maybe also reduce the bullet velocity of smgs slightly too, I dunno. TBH I'm really not a subscriber to the "I've mastered the beryl recoil" as the only thing important in gun fights in this game.

Yea idk it will def get old playing sanhok all the time, idk why they wouldn’t make it like the classic Erangel mode where you had a choice to play it or not. I would also like to see erangel next on the list for this type of update if it does well
I don’t think the song buff is to help the player win but more be able to win i those endgame fights for the chicken only saying this because I love the mp5 sometimes I get the drop and shoot first but if the have an ace or beryl they would still win the battle

The Vector does have a bit of recoil, which su**s if there are no attachments on it or the wrong ones because the UMP etc. don't have any recoil even without attachments. I never really got to grips with the Vector in PUBG and somehow I just don't like it in the game. I really enjoyed playing Vector in other games. The ACE32 is still my favorite weapon along with the Dragunov and the Mini14 of all the World Spawn weapons.
- The recall system changed the game; now the end circles are worse than the intense battle royale mode.. every compound, every defensible position is occupied.. it is extremely difficult to find or capture a spot, especially in certain game modes, even if you are not late, without being third partied, being caught in cross fire. not only the end-game, also the early game is affected by it. for that reason it's ok for me if they leave some of the maps without the come back system, since it feels more like the old pubg. most amazing part is, majority of the player base don't know about the recall system existing (you need to explain it to them or you cannot since they do not speak engürüsh :P). & others, they do not care or wait for it. - SMGs should have a purpose, was not being used in early game nor in the late; since pump is in CQBs, AR is the king in mid-range later in the game.. I think it should be some how a high mobility weapon good for pushing & taking out targets in close range.. or why have it?.. I fear also it might be over tuned, we'll see
recall is VERY important in the current state/meta of games IMO. Most people agree, which is why they finally added them to all 8x8 maps. Also, yes I agree SMG likely over-tuned.
@@CDome the most amazing part about the comeback system, as a guy doing random squads, most people do not know about it. Most of the time they are veterans who stopped playing and they're surprised each time. New guys, they wait for the revive but they do not wait for the recall. That's interesting, I guess maybe the feature does not communicate itself well enough, or perhaps they do not like how they rejoin the battle. Ofc, some prefer requeuing rather than waiting. I cannot tell how many times we turned the tide and wiped the other team but lost the game because they did not wait. So for a random squad that feature is almost non-existent. PUBG needs to do a better job of making sure that its player base knows those new features exist. Should make the feature communicate itself better. All maps should have the same features, maybe with a few exceptions
For me the problem for the smg is not all of this, smg need lower ttk at close range to be use over ar, even with this change they still cannot be better than ar, still no smg have better ttk than beryl to amor 2 helmet 2, so why the heck you need to use smg when you still lose the gunfight at close range to an ar, they need more damage at close range and more damage drop off over range to be not so op, like mg3, mk14, groza ttk at close range but on mid range that damage will drop down to earth, in cod this is how smg work and they are very balance to ar
@CDome limb damage doesnt matter at all, good ar player will alway destroy smg in close range if he hit 1 or 2 headshot, smg headshot are so weak, smg need more damage to make people pick it over ar in some situation, smg now are ok but we still never seen any pro player use it over ar

The most annoying thing (especially on console) is getting into a gunfight and the only thing the enemy player does is walk in a circle and shoot without aiming. It was already way too accurate like that, it was basically instant death for you if someone played that way. Now it's gonna be even more accurate, even more powerful, and as a result all SMGs are now promoting unskilled ways of playing. Gone are the days of aiming and hitting your headshots. Now it's just spray and pray while bot-walking in circles.
The fact that now you can crouch+ "aim"(not ads just the reduced crosair, which is basically crouch walking ) and move basically at the same speed as normal run (no shift) while having insane accuracy + you make basically no sound is apsurd. Also accuracy while moving normaly even when standing up is ridiculous.... if you ads with smgs you are sabotaging yourself, with how fast you move and how accurate you are it makes no sense to ads as you are more likely to hit hans and toes while running and guning hipfire thus doing more dmg bcs you know pubg logic.
This change makes red zone blow so much more. Use to be able to survive by hiding in a structure, now you are screwed Omg these smg changes are crazy. Limb damage is already insane and makes zero sense. Now this
I haven't tried the changes myself but it sounds like you'll get a warning of the missile landing or about to land via sound cues, or maybe even visual cues, so you can avoid being directly blasted by it. And it sounds like it's only going to kill you if you take a full explosion next to you. I'd suspect you'd have roughly the same warning inside a house so you can at least move to the other side unless you're in a tiny shack. Compared to right now that sounds much better, like right now, if you don't have cover, you just could be walking or driving around and die instantly randomly with no warning. And don't forget if you don't want to be in the red zone you can always just run out of it before it fires. Which I think accomplishes more of what it was originally meant to do -- like create a more dynamic battlefield. Like if people really don't want to be in the red zone, you could more reliably move to a position outside of it and watch for people trying to escape it. Right now if a red zone occurs for the most part everyone just goes and camps in a building and all fighting stops (unless people are attempting to use the sound as cover or something but you could still just be randomly killed which sucks.) As for the smg stuff, I think limb damage multiplier made a bit of sense in the idea that an smg is a run-and-gun kind of weapon. In that sense, in the past, when you run out and hip fire your shots would kinda go all over the place and the limb damage normalized that so your shots all kinda did a reasonable amount. It did make it kinda dumb that when you ADS'd you could just shoot at someone's legs for similar/more damage than the chest. Now that they've made hip fire just more accurate while moving, they probably don't need the limb damage bonus anymore as presumably if you run out hip fire spraying, if you aim at center of mass, most of your bullets should just hit center of mass and you don't need to worry about all the random shots going everywhere. And then if your shots are going everywhere now it's probably the distance you should be ADSing and aiming manually. Haven't actually tried it out yet, so haven't seen the actual spread, but that would be my 2 cents on it.
My first thoughts on this are that more experienced players are now going to just run right through less skilled players using explosives, taking away the ability to hide & use structures to give them a fighting chance. I understand why long-term players always want new, but this without recall does not strike me as a positive. Keeping an open mind. We shall see. Also #bringbackshotties #shottiesdidnothingwrong
So how does it make sense that 5.56 wouldn’t be the same out of every rifle. Thats not accurate. Develop different bullets. 5.56 standard, medium & high powered & AP. That would make sense.
As an mp5k lover I’m extremely hype for this update 🤣 Often times I feel I should be winning a gun fight that I don’t so I actually think this is a solid change . Also, if you’re upset I’m sorry 😭 go pubg!
They need to bring back OCE for Aussies please! We are gamers too! It's a huge disadvantage close range with 120 ping. SoloQ in SEA or AS are majority bots anyway, so let us play OCE with bots, it's still fun!
I treid to play it, did the update, then when I launched the game, it says I need to pay for battle pass or something, And I couldn't play any matches like before. I thought it was a free game. I wanted to make some Pubg content...

SMGs are already really easy to use even for new players. They have an INSANE TTK close range and everyone uses them during hotdrops. This update makes it even worse. And now more panzers (i understand why) = no counter play most of the time. They should make some ARs easier to use so new players can use them instead of buffing SMGs beyond oblivion.
Issue is ARs without attachments are really hard, even for experienced players like myself. Id rather have those be easier than SMGs with limb modifiers (which reward bad aim)
Does anyone else have severe performance issues on Sanhok ? I have FPS drops und it feels very laggy all the time... On all other maps 144fps permanently !! Ryzen 5800X3D - 3070ti - 32GB 3600MHZ.. i`m playing in 1080p and almost all settings on very low
still getting 85+ ping on NA servers after the "un-merge".... Used to have like 40-45, 60 MAX before the merge. Seriously doubting if they actually undid the changes or just did some artificial fixes
Since there is no aim assist, the tighter smg accuracy spread means players with bad aim can’t rely on the wider spray and pray bullet spread hitting the target in the toes. Now they have to keep the reticle on target. Players who are already good at hitting their target will be neither helped or hurt by this buff.
yeah, no lol This will certainly help bad aiming players by making it easier to hip fire for increased duration with better accuracy. and hip fire while strafing / jumping is also better, helping those same players.
@ as I’m understanding the accuracy buff, the tighter cone of fire would mean more of the bullets hit in a smaller grouping where the reticle is pointed, but the buff doesn’t help a player with bad aim put the reticle on target. And a player with bad aim has difficulty hitting you while they’re standing still, so I don’t think a tighter grouping is going to help them while they’re jumping around lol But I guess we can agree to disagree on this one 😄

@@Dragoryu While I agree with you that an smg player really shouldn't win easily by just spraying at your feet (and mind you this claim is a little overblown, as its about the same damage as spraying at your chest with a lvl 2 vest on), that moment of weakness when spraying your AR is what pubg is about. There are plenty of times when I fire just slightly off with an M4 and hit the chest instead of the head and that single bullet loses me the gun fight. Like the difference of a win and a loss in this game is sometimes less than 50ms. I get it and understand that people who have spent all that time to master the Beryl recoil feel like they should just win everything because that gun is annoyingly hard to use. But let's be real. If you're losing a mid-range gun fight against an smg because you let your recoil drift then maybe you should use a different rifle. Or accept that the Beryl requires a ridiculous amount of focus because it has all the benefits of a rifle plus it borrows some of the TTK/DPS from an SMG at close range, and it's not even a crate weapon.

Hmm, so based on them having the limb damage multiplier before, my thoughts were always that the SMG was a gun designed where you run out from behind a corner spraying hip fire at someone close to close-mid range, the bullets will go all over the place but the damage will be very consistent no matter where it lands (due to limb multiplier).
If they're upping the accuracy on hip fire spray (and shoulder but I don't use that) while running, I can see that as a good thing as it further solidifies the gameplay style of using an smg, which is really run-and-gun (and I don't think affects mid range since you'll be ADSing for that anyways). But they probably don't need the limb damage multiplier anymore in that case if you can more reliably just aim center mass and hit center mass without the bullets suddenly deviating everywhere after 2 bullets.
On the topic of making smgs more used, imo, that's pretty much impossible unless they make them just more like rifles or they significantly change the maps. Like pubg is generally open fields with scattered cover. Even if the final circle is in a city, probably all the circles before that have some degree of openness and it's not like you'll always be able to control the fighting conditions. So you take a rifle that can deal with all ranges, including close range, or you take an smg that forces you to work extra hard to bring fights into close range...
while you make some good points, I tend to say that it's a tactical decision. If you have an SMG and a DMR, you effectively have the best DPS options for close range and then mid-long range but it's all about how you play. You can't play the same way as you can with an AR vs SMG without a disadvantage. and that's fine. So just remove LDM and we're in OK shape.

I definitely like the idea that we will see a much wider spread of weapons being used throughout games, as long as the SMGs are not OP. Perhaps the limb multiplier should be reverted now.

@CDome all I'm saying is it would be great to see a gunplay balance that allows you to be successful and skilled with any weapon. I think of Battlefield 4, if you've ever played that - there are 40+ primary weapons and you can still do great with any of them.

It's when you hold the aim button (rmb) with standard controls. If you play in first person it's hard to see, your character just brings the gun up a bit and your crosshair tightens a bit.
In third person it's when your character brings their gun up to their shoulder, but you don't go into first person to aim down the sight.

What happen to the server merge reverse??? Seems like they did not seperate US/SA before merge 20-30 ping after 50-60 and new update 40-50, and they over laid the tab to join teams.... that speak your language. But it wass the teams settings tab now gone
servers are unmerged, NA no longer players with SA. My ping has gone down. Others are unchanged.

i want the winchester to 1 tap lvl 2 helms again, or shoot a lot faster. they allow the novy to 1 tap and its a freaking dmr.
only dmr that 1 taps is Dragunov and it's 85m or less to be fair.

Just feel like winchester needs a buff, before they added the sight it was one tap to lvl 2, i use to smash so many people with it then they nerfed and added sight and unless meme no point using it.

I am a brand new player, like less than a week of play and I'm confused about the smg buffs. I've been using them as my primary weapon like all the way until end game. For me they feel the easiest to use, aim with and has most sustainability (for me personally).

We’ve tried many times with multiple numbers, but they don’t send anything. He even emailed PUBG and they are investigating the problem, but I don’t know if they’ll find a fix. SMGs should be good for hot drops and CQC and ARs should be better for mid to long range. Why change that? I understand they want to make game more noob friendly, but it really sucks when I'm running beryl and some new player kills me just because he has op gun (JS9, MP9) that does't require any skill at all. We were all noobs at some point, thats part of the charm, you play more and you get better and it feels really good. It feels rewarding. I understand why they are doing it but SMGs are getting really op. TGLTN, as pro player, said on multiple ocassions that recoil on the beryl is too hard, that even he has problems controling it with over 12k hours, and then we have JS9, UMP, MP9... that can be equiped with 4x which have literally 0 recoil. They should find differrent way to make game more noob friendly.

I mean I agree that smgs really shouldn't accel at any kind of distance fight, as I'm a fan of them being designed for run-and-gun play. Though at the same time I don't necessarily subscribe to the idea that a beryl should necessarily always beat an smg. I mean from the perspective of long range if you can control a beryl and hit them in the head at least once you should basically win even now due to it's damage, rate of fire, and bullet velocity.
But I also think in some ways the beryl being unrealistically difficult to control makes a bit of sense, because it can act like a rifle at mid-long range, but it also borrows the sheer DPS and killing speed at close range due to its rof, and it's not a crate gun.
Maybe all they need to do now, since they've buffed the shoulder and hip fire accuracy, is to remove limb damage multipliers for smgs. That way, even though the smg has low recoil, at a distance you'll still have to make sure you point at their head or mid chest to maximize damage. Maybe also reduce the bullet velocity of smgs slightly too, I dunno.
TBH I'm really not a subscriber to the "I've mastered the beryl recoil" as the only thing important in gun fights in this game.

The Vector does have a bit of recoil, which su**s if there are no attachments on it or the wrong ones because the UMP etc. don't have any recoil even without attachments.
I never really got to grips with the Vector in PUBG and somehow I just don't like it in the game. I really enjoyed playing Vector in other games.
The ACE32 is still my favorite weapon along with the Dragunov and the Mini14 of all the World Spawn weapons.

- The recall system changed the game; now the end circles are worse than the intense battle royale mode.. every compound, every defensible position is occupied.. it is extremely difficult to find or capture a spot, especially in certain game modes, even if you are not late, without being third partied, being caught in cross fire. not only the end-game, also the early game is affected by it. for that reason it's ok for me if they leave some of the maps without the come back system, since it feels more like the old pubg. most amazing part is, majority of the player base don't know about the recall system existing (you need to explain it to them or you cannot since they do not speak engürüsh :P). & others, they do not care or wait for it.
- SMGs should have a purpose, was not being used in early game nor in the late; since pump is in CQBs, AR is the king in mid-range later in the game.. I think it should be some how a high mobility weapon good for pushing & taking out targets in close range.. or why have it?.. I fear also it might be over tuned, we'll see
recall is VERY important in the current state/meta of games IMO. Most people agree, which is why they finally added them to all 8x8 maps.
Also, yes I agree SMG likely over-tuned.
@@CDome the most amazing part about the comeback system, as a guy doing random squads, most people do not know about it. Most of the time they are veterans who stopped playing and they're surprised each time. New guys, they wait for the revive but they do not wait for the recall. That's interesting, I guess maybe the feature does not communicate itself well enough, or perhaps they do not like how they rejoin the battle. Ofc, some prefer requeuing rather than waiting. I cannot tell how many times we turned the tide and wiped the other team but lost the game because they did not wait. So for a random squad that feature is almost non-existent.
PUBG needs to do a better job of making sure that its player base knows those new features exist. Should make the feature communicate itself better. All maps should have the same features, maybe with a few exceptions

For me the problem for the smg is not all of this, smg need lower ttk at close range to be use over ar, even with this change they still cannot be better than ar, still no smg have better ttk than beryl to amor 2 helmet 2, so why the heck you need to use smg when you still lose the gunfight at close range to an ar, they need more damage at close range and more damage drop off over range to be not so op, like mg3, mk14, groza ttk at close range but on mid range that damage will drop down to earth, in cod this is how smg work and they are very balance to ar

They did not need buffed. The most annoying thing (especially on console) is getting into a gunfight and the only thing the enemy player does is walk in a circle and shoot without aiming. It was already way too accurate like that, it was basically instant death for you if someone played that way. Now it's gonna be even more accurate, even more powerful, and as a result all SMGs are now promoting unskilled ways of playing. Gone are the days of aiming and hitting your headshots. Now it's just spray and pray while bot-walking in circles.

The fact that now you can crouch+ "aim"(not ads just the reduced crosair, which is basically crouch walking ) and move basically at the same speed as normal run (no shift) while having insane accuracy + you make basically no sound is apsurd. Also accuracy while moving normaly even when standing up is ridiculous.... if you ads with smgs you are sabotaging yourself, with how fast you move and how accurate you are it makes no sense to ads as you are more likely to hit hans and toes while running and guning hipfire thus doing more dmg bcs you know pubg logic.

I haven't tried the changes myself but it sounds like you'll get a warning of the missile landing or about to land via sound cues, or maybe even visual cues, so you can avoid being directly blasted by it. And it sounds like it's only going to kill you if you take a full explosion next to you. I'd suspect you'd have roughly the same warning inside a house so you can at least move to the other side unless you're in a tiny shack. Compared to right now that sounds much better, like right now, if you don't have cover, you just could be walking or driving around and die instantly randomly with no warning.
And don't forget if you don't want to be in the red zone you can always just run out of it before it fires. Which I think accomplishes more of what it was originally meant to do -- like create a more dynamic battlefield. Like if people really don't want to be in the red zone, you could more reliably move to a position outside of it and watch for people trying to escape it. Right now if a red zone occurs for the most part everyone just goes and camps in a building and all fighting stops (unless people are attempting to use the sound as cover or something but you could still just be randomly killed which sucks.)
As for the smg stuff, I think limb damage multiplier made a bit of sense in the idea that an smg is a run-and-gun kind of weapon. In that sense, in the past, when you run out and hip fire your shots would kinda go all over the place and the limb damage normalized that so your shots all kinda did a reasonable amount. It did make it kinda dumb that when you ADS'd you could just shoot at someone's legs for similar/more damage than the chest. Now that they've made hip fire just more accurate while moving, they probably don't need the limb damage bonus anymore as presumably if you run out hip fire spraying, if you aim at center of mass, most of your bullets should just hit center of mass and you don't need to worry about all the random shots going everywhere. And then if your shots are going everywhere now it's probably the distance you should be ADSing and aiming manually. Haven't actually tried it out yet, so haven't seen the actual spread, but that would be my 2 cents on it.

My first thoughts on this are that more experienced players are now going to just run right through less skilled players using explosives, taking away the ability to hide & use structures to give them a fighting chance. I understand why long-term players always want new, but this without recall does not strike me as a positive. Keeping an open mind. We shall see.

SMGs are already really easy to use even for new players. They have an INSANE TTK close range and everyone uses them during hotdrops. This update makes it even worse. And now more panzers (i understand why) = no counter play most of the time. They should make some ARs easier to use so new players can use them instead of buffing SMGs beyond oblivion.

Issue is ARs without attachments are really hard, even for experienced players like myself. Id rather have those be easier than SMGs with limb modifiers (which reward bad aim)

Since there is no aim assist, the tighter smg accuracy spread means players with bad aim can’t rely on the wider spray and pray bullet spread hitting the target in the toes. Now they have to keep the reticle on target. Players who are already good at hitting their target will be neither helped or hurt by this buff.
yeah, no lol This will certainly help bad aiming players by making it easier to hip fire for increased duration with better accuracy. and hip fire while strafing / jumping is also better, helping those same players.
@ as I’m understanding the accuracy buff, the tighter cone of fire would mean more of the bullets hit in a smaller grouping where the reticle is pointed, but the buff doesn’t help a player with bad aim put the reticle on target. And a player with bad aim has difficulty hitting you while they’re standing still, so I don’t think a tighter grouping is going to help them while they’re jumping around lol But I guess we can agree to disagree on this one 😄

@@Dragoryu While I agree with you that an smg player really shouldn't win easily by just spraying at your feet (and mind you this claim is a little overblown, as its about the same damage as spraying at your chest with a lvl 2 vest on), that moment of weakness when spraying your AR is what pubg is about. There are plenty of times when I fire just slightly off with an M4 and hit the chest instead of the head and that single bullet loses me the gun fight. Like the difference of a win and a loss in this game is sometimes less than 50ms.
I get it and understand that people who have spent all that time to master the Beryl recoil feel like they should just win everything because that gun is annoyingly hard to use. But let's be real. If you're losing a mid-range gun fight against an smg because you let your recoil drift then maybe you should use a different rifle. Or accept that the Beryl requires a ridiculous amount of focus because it has all the benefits of a rifle plus it borrows some of the TTK/DPS from an SMG at close range, and it's not even a crate weapon.
