Very cute idea! I glue a piece of either printer paper or card stock to the back of my paper pads to make a pocket that I then shove the scraps into! It keeps the collection together.
OMGosh what a GREAT idea. I always keep mine in a baggie and put the baggie inside the paper pack. Your idea is sooooo much better!!! TY TY TY!!! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
I am so happy you did this video. LOL. I discovered you back in July and immediately subscribed to you. I have been sewing for 60 years as a paying hobby in the later part of my life. I do the same things with my fabric scraps and all my fabric when I am upset. ALL of my fabric comes out all over the living room and I sort. Small pieces are cut into the same sizes. When life hands you scraps you make a quilt!!! You are so meant to be an instructor. Your voice, your attitude, your love for what you do and the love of the paper you work with. I have to laugh. You are so contagious. YOU ARE THE BEST IN THE SCRAPBOOKING FIELD FOR TEACHING, HANDS DOWN. I now own paper pads, and some of the tools. Oh the tools!!! I’m getting there. The tools are so fascinating. No I’m still sewing but this has opened a whole new field of learning. I used to sell at boutiques for about 20 years and loved every minute. All your helpful hints on selling are spot on. One more thought about having a lot of small bills for your booth however it should be said that if you are a shopper you should do the same thing. Break down all those twenties into small bills for the courtesy of the vendors. Thank you Amber! Loving it all. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you are enjoying my videos and that you are into paper now! Yay! My mom loves to sew as well and has been for years. She loves fabric and I love paper! Thanks again! xo Amber
I use the different size bags from snack bags to the 2 1/2 gallon zipper bags ( which fit the 12 x 12 papers) from Dollar tree, nice and study and reusable.
HI Amber! As soon as I watched your video last night I gathered my paper collections and scraps and made my own page kits! What a simple but genius idea! I just had everything tucked into the paper pad and it was all a mess. Now everything is nice and neat. I also made a bunch of tags with my small paper scraps! Thanks for the idea!
Amber....have I told you lately YOU ARE AMAZING??? This video is so so perfect for what I needed. I have been re-organizing my craft room, labeling everything & putting everything (well almost) in its 'place'....BUT my DSP scraps. Right now they are piled on my laundry table taking up room while I figure out how to sort & store them. And then, HOORAY, I decided to check your channel out today & found this video. So, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I cannot wait to get downstairs (as soon as I get back from the Library) to get my scraps all taken care of. You inspire me more than you know. I think I have said this before, but I am not creative, but thanks to your wonderful creativity and your unselfish willingness to take the time to share it with all of us, I get inspired. I have already made several of your Craft Fair projects, and will be getting ready to look for something to make for our granddaughter Hayden for her 4th grade friends at school for Halloween & Christmas & then Valentine's Day. I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE I will be able to find something on your channel. You are A-mazing! Thank you. P.S. Sorry this is so long!
YOU'RE A GODSEND! I'm in the process of organizing and destashing my paper hoarding obsession. This is the best idea I've seen and I'm starting today. Thank you!!!
oh my goodness! clever idea! I love it! I made a whole bunch of mini notepads and still have a bunch of scraps and just put them in a pile. Now I'm going to go and cut them down like this. Thank you for sharing. I love it!
Wow. I seriously thought I had seen all of the scrap stash videos but this is exactly what I need because I do the same thing: stuff them all into the paper pad and then it bills up my drawer and annoys me. Thank you so much for the idea. Very helpful!!!
Amber, you are so much fun! I watch your videos all the time. I am making so many of your craft fair ideas into items for sale at our annual church bazaar this year. I’m having so much fun with it! Thank you so much for your wonderful sharing.
I use the paper pack front for cards, just look at the number of mini squares of design samples then cut into the number of squares that fit your card size
I have a problem that when I place scraps In gallon size ziplocs with the same like colors... that is where I leave them so this was beyond helpful I was at a loss how to better organize my scraps and for me to want to go back to them! Perfect time to see this as I clean my craft room!!!! Tfs!!!
Thank you for this video! I just started papercrafting and this has helped alot. I was able to go through my scrap bin, sort it out and organize everything. I used page protectors for mine and put them in a binder.
Nice idea i have been collecting paper for a few years. I haven't really used any. I just buy it when its cheap. Hopefully i can organize my craft room so that i can get started
I don't understand what's going on. Isn't this like having lots of brand new remnants of carpet in different sizes and cutting them all 6x4ft??? 🤔🤔 WHY??? It's not making sense to me. What's wrong with keeping all the leftover papers from one pad in a bag, she did that anyway...?
Fab ideas. Very impressive scrap collection. Ahem, super powers? I have several. One of them is organizing my paper scraps to look like a whole new product!
Very well organise. Re the cover, I cut them down to use as patchwork card front, often putting them through an embossing folder to get a nice quilted effect. Tfs
You don't use the decorated branding strips? I like to glue them together on a sheet of lighter weight paper, then trim them down. Voila! Striped paper for tags and cards.
@@BarbaraAustinUTSP Yep. That stripe at the top is often the same pattern as one of the other pieces in a pack. It's a great little accent strip for a project. The striped paper idea is also great for die cutting.
What a great idea, especially when you put them in the clear bags then all into the one big bag. Usually I look at all the scraps and think., “What a Mess”, then go in another direction. I’m certainly going to try this. Thanks so much.
The kit idea is outstanding! I have been stowing my scraps in ziploc bags inside a case, and I don't use them as I should. I use some to punch shapes, or add border strips, or to make frankenpaper, but there's no organization. I love the idea of cutting them to usable sizes. I am def. trying this.
I’m so excited that I found this video. What an awesome idea! I think I’m going to make scrap bags to put on the give away table at crops. Thanks so much for sharing! 😊
This is brillant ... you and Bree are so smart ... I have a box that sits in the chair next to me and I dig thru looking inevitable getting glue or ink or bending pieces then wasting them. Only thing different is pre cut the cut aparts.
I used those strips with holes made tags or boarder of a card :) I saved all the clear bags from all the stickers bags, or other products bags and put these inside
Thank you for this. I just watched this video last night and was surprised at how much easier storing my paper supplies became after I did this with just one box of paper.
I save branding strips and use on tops of pockets in note book pockets. Fold so strip is on outside of pocket, glue and it makes a nice contract to pocket and gives nice finishing look.
Hello from Australia Lyriclover, what a great video. I now can confirm that I have hoarding papers and embellishments and I have a horrible time going through it all every time I engage in a project. What you showed us here is fabulous and I have work to do! Thank you so much for your great ideas! 🇳🇿😍✂️🌸
I just came across this video and how helpful this is and so organized I'm one that has that large tray of scraps but thanks to you I know what to do with them =)
Simply amazing and yes, therapeutic to a crafter😉. Putting them in Bag(s) as a collection is a gsme changer. I've save them and put them together, but this is a level up for sure. I can also see this as exciting when I hold little workshops...so people can have sets that generate creative sets to start with. I've only found you a few weeks ago....And EVERY TIME...YOU SIMPLY AMAZE ME.😀😀😀
Love your tutorials and awesome ideas! I use those little half inch strips to make a mosaic card background. They turn out so pretty! Lol. It is hard for me to throw out paper! I'm addicted.

The strips u said to throw can also be used to make things too. I did a heart shape then use thin strips with small gaps all round to make a striped heart then create a frame using my heart dies and glue the frame on the top it’s very affective and pretty
Great video! That was so satisfying seeing how it all ended up- I love ideas on how to organise scraps. I'm sure they would make a cute notecard set. Btw, you should use some of the squares with the heart cut out- they could make a cute negative space card. Just make them dimensional and use a co-ordinating coloured 3 x 3 card. Super cute! I use the branding strips for embellishments!
I also save the branding strips, they are great for dividing different paper, you can also use them for sentiment strips and banners.

I keep coming back to this video. it’s super satisfying and calming ♥️
Thank you for this video! I just started papercrafting and this has helped alot. I was able to go through my scrap bin, sort it out and organize everything. I used page protectors for mine and put them in a binder.
