I am glad you are back. Best wishes for your husband's recovery. I have always enjoyed your craft fair videos. Looking forward to them. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Rewind 10 years ago.... i had a little folder this size from Mary Engelbriet. I used it until it was shreds. I kept talking it back together and finally retired it to my journals not having the heart to throw it away. I didn't paper craft back then. I'm so excited for this tutorial now. I will definatly make myself a few of these! So sweet!
@@traci4440: i used mine like a weekly to do folder. I kept mystery shopping list, too do list, bills or things i need to mail off. If i was heading to the grocery it held my list coupons and stuff, stuffed my receipts in it. It really was a catch all. I still use a similar system but now it's all in my happy planner (i don't use the planner portion, just the cover and note paper with the folders but i like the disc system so i can punch things and keep them inside. ) these folders fit a typical paper folded in half. Since they are small they easily fit in your purse, planner, or just in hand. I rarely carry a purse. My phone is a phone case wallet that i keep in my pocket so all my necessary papers are in hand. Think about having one for the dr's to keep the copay receipt in as well as lab results, another for the store, put those receipts in there until you scan them for ibotta. One for each kid. Christmas shopping. Ect, im sure once it's in hand, you will quickly fill it up! Lol at the end of each week (or when it was getting bulky) i would empty and put away the stuff that was finished (file the lab reports, buisness cards, pamphlets, the stamped portion of the water bill for proof of payment ect, to make room for more. I'm not joking these little folders are so darn handy! I'm glad she did this video! 🤩 by the way is nearly 1am and i'm rambling.. sorry 🤣
Omigoodness, these are so cute and so easy! I just made 5 of them in less than 45 minutes and I’m guessing since I now know what I’m doing I could probably turn out half a dozen in half an hour. What a wonderful and relaxing weekend project. I’m going to make a bunch of these for my friends. Thank you Amber!
What an awesome project! I am going to tuck a 5" X 7" mini paper pad into each one and give as gifts to my Sunday school teachers. They thought last year's post it holders were cool. Wait 'til they get a load of this one. Thank you so much for so generously sharing these, Amber!!
I love how you say, "Use your paper". My m.i.l. refuses to cut any of hers and she's had it for years. She says it's too pretty to use. The file folders look beautiful.
So cute. I used your idea and sized it down to a 6x6 piece of paper. 1/4 inch scores on the sides and 2 inches at the bottom. Perfect little folder to hold 2 tea bags.
Amy Barthel I was thinking of making it smaller to put notes in my grandkids lunch bags...thanks for saving me the trouble of figuring the measurements. 👍🏻👍🏻
These are so cute! You know, one option for items like these, would be to donate to your local children's hospital. I'm sure kids would love them. And yay! A new Craft Fair series! I used so many of your ideas and donated them to various charities. Looking forward to it!
leopard prints how were the donations received? I’ve got a pretty healthy stash and thanks to Amber lots of good projects I’ve long thought would make great donations to low income classrooms. I’m just not sure how they may be received. Any input would be appreciated!
@@pnuthead13 You could always ring your local hospital and ask about it? Usually children's hospitals love cards (as long as they don't have like 'get well soon' on them) and crafting items. I'm sure a child would feel really good about receiving something handmade. I also donated a lot to a local women's shelter- I donated crafty items for the kids, as they are often forgotten. I also donated to a local dog rescue charity as they can sell the items at fairs.
These are absolutely adorable. I'm going to make some to use up some of my paper pads and sell at our church for our missionaries fund. Thank you so much for giving us the idea.
These are so cute! I cant wait to try these. I have a lot a paper and had no clue what to do with it all! Looking forward to watching your other inventions.
Been making these like mad. So cute. The 6 x 6 size is adorable. I'm tying a ribbon around "3" of them and giving them to the girls in our youth group. TYFS!
Amber... I just want to really thank you for this specific series. It’s been wonderful and looking forward to learning more about your craft fair items!
These will also be great tucked in between some elastic bands as in a journal or travel type notebook. How awesome. thanks for sharing. I always love your tutorials!
Amber, I love this project!! I was able to do a dozen this afternoon and will do more. They will be for the grandkids' teachers! I'm also going to give them as Christmas gifts. Thank you!
These are so cute. Septeria18 makes a mini version using a 6x6 paper and the gift bag punch board. They make up fast and are really cute. I did a spin off and added a spine that would accommodate a note pad..the pockets are a nice place to tuck coupons (yes, I still use paper coupons), notes to myself, etc.
Your" use your paper" series is genius!!! I have loved them all. And I am just a casual crafter that loves paper, fabric and yarn. I'm sorry it's come to an end but anxious for new craft fair projectst. Thank you for sharing with us !
Great tutorial! I just made the folder and it was so easy. They would be nice with Christmas theme paper to use for storing shopping lists, gift receipts, new recipes to try. etc. Thanks!!
Dear Lyriclover, I am a teacher getting ready to head back to school in a few days. I am also an admitted craft hoarder.....paper.....lots of paper! I know what I’m going to be doing for the next few days! Love this idea! Thanks!
Very cute idea and so quick and easy! I grabbed a piece of kraft paper and tried it out - it's perfect! First time out, and it only took about 3 minutes. Thanks for sharing your genius idea!
These are sooooooooo cute!! My daughter is a teacher and has a very small class. i can totally see her having one of these for each of her students!! Super super cute!! i'm going to have to make her some!! TFS!!
I loved this series! You have a wonderful sense of style and a great eye for colors. I learn so much from watching your great tutorials. Thank you Amber!
Amber you explain so well and really get your ideas across. I like the size of the folders. Going to make some for a lovely teaching assistant that I know
so cute! I just made one to see how they look and it is as easy as you say! I will be making a bunch of these and sending them to a teacher I know in Florida. her 5th graders are kids that are mostly from hard economic families. She has a book program for them and the folders will be plain, with a label on the front for their names. Inside they could keep track of their books, and even draw a part of the stories and tuck them inside these. so many many uses. Thanks so much for sharing this!
I LOVE THESE! They're beautiful, adorable, fun and so creative! The ten year old in side of me is jumping up and down over this lol. I know that sounds strange but I would have love these when I was a kid and now I can make my own. These would also be fun if you have an event coming up and you wanted to customize gifts for those in attendance - like a decorative information packet. Or you can make them to suit which ever holiday you celebrate (I only celebrate Thanksgiving and the 4th of July). So many possibilities. Gits for your Mothers or Grandmothers, whomever. You could make these and give them out as welcome packets at church. Anything.
I was wondering if you had any fun ideas using Project Life cards? You have such a great creative mind and I have learned so much from you. Really appreciate it.
You hit another one out of the park!! You were my inspiration to start paper crafting about a year ago. I get such a feeling of accomplishment and I just wanted to say a huge Thank You!!!
How freaking cute!!! I love these they’re the cutest and most creative stickers ever!! Can’t wait to get started on my planning journey I am so used to just plain old notebooks but I’m so feeling these planners and journals!!
Just started watching you and I have become obsessed. This is my first question, one of many. What is RAKS? You are an excellent teacher. Love your enthusiasm for your paying hobby, it’s contagious. I sew and sell for the past 35 years. Fun, fun, fun!!!! Keep the tutorials coming.
Amber, these are great! They would make great covers for a naked journal. I think I will make some of those up for my craft fair this year. Thanks for sharing, love your videos! Kristi
Super Cute folders! Love how you can use your 12"x12" papers to make it and your journaling cards to decorate them! Yayy, I can't wait for your Craft Fair series to start! Have an awesome weekend! Big hug
This is such a cool idea. I will definitely be making some of these. It's a great way to use up some of our older 12 x 12 papers! Thanks for teaching us this. Blessings, Helen

Stacey, I'm curious to know what you used it for. I think these are so cute, but I'm having a hard time thinking of what I would do with one.

4 years later and I still love making these. I find so many uses for these.
Great ideas and make it look so easy.
These adorable folders might fit in those mini binders that are being sold by the Dollar Tree and Target as well! Thanks Amber for another great idea.

Hi Amy, I just made one of these. They're absolutely adorable. Thanks! for the measurements.

Awesome idea!! As a teacher, I would be thrilled to receive something like this.
Excellent project and start to finish tutorial. Thank you Amber. Wishing you a super week. Hugs Susan
Amber, I took this one step further and laminated them. Turned out great! TFS.
I've not laminated these projects yet, but am excited to.
Do you laminate it first, then fold? Or fold, then laminate?
