- In this video Andrew will lead you down the path he took to quickly diagnose an air bag fault that has been on since this 2015 Land Rover has gotten out of the body shop. He shows you how to use data to find the root cause of the problem in an efficient way. This will help you next time you have one in the shop. Hope it helps! Enjoy!

Yes we make commission on these products if you buy from these links. This supports the channel. We will never recommend a product that we don't truly believe in. This is just the beginning of our products. We will add more as we go.
Absolutely brilliant explanation. I will be binging all of your diagnostic videos to educate myself. Thank you for doing these.
Love the way these guys do videos. Loved the warped rotor video which sold me on their videos. You would never think to look at the hub for a warped rotor.
Amazing Thanks for sharing Andrew👍
I never thought it would be so simple in the beginning, bcuz it's a European vehicle & they're not build to be easily repaired😉
Good instruction thanks
That high resistance measurement believed to be 65 ohms is not the ohm reading, it is a digital number representing the highest resistance that cannot be given in an actual reading. If you are an older MS EXCEL fan, you might remember that there were only 65536 rows available to populate. In computer counting, your number will also count ZERO so 65535 is the max. Let's call it infinite resistance or open circuit and we see the plug disconnected. No scope is needed here but this type of video is why I now follow your channel.
GOOD JOB ,,,,, LOVE THE WAY YOU KEPT IT SIMPLE . THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE VIDEOS FROM YOU THANKS AGAIN !!!!!!!🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍
Great job and explanation my friend. I love how you guys explain the working of the system.
GOOD JOB, LOVE THE WAY YOU KEPT IT SIMPLE ...... THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

just following you guys
very good content...keep up the good videos and thanks from across the pond
my biggest problem is i am old school 66 years old been mechanic all my life it is so hard to rely on scanners and scopes have been using scanners for several years but the scope only about a year and struggle with settings and understanding the data so i resort to gut feelings and experience. the problem is the newer vehicles can't rely on experience because they are new.
You can do it! Just gotta play with the scope on good vehicles. Just sit and play with the different time bases and voltage. You're not going to hurt anything and it's the best way to learn. Let us know if we can help. We are in S.E. Georgia, N.E. Florida area so if you're close by let us know and maybe we could get together and go over some scope stuff.
Yes , absolutely , practice with good vehicles . Perhaps just basic tests like relative compression and add more involved testing as you go. Master the basics and the rest gets easier.
@@theroyaltyautoservice if you ever have time would be nice to see a video scope basics. when to use a attenuator and when not needed. my main scope is snapon so i understand attenuator not needed. but i also have one of the uscopes and always worry if i should connect attenuator or not
My supervisor is in his 60s as well. Great auto electrician, always able to help me with his experience and knowledge, and I am able to help him with my technological knowledge on the scanners etc. Never discount yourself, your knowledge and experience still counts for a hell of a lot
I agree with you to a point but I do HVAC and you can not diagnose a system accurately with out a set of gauges.
The same thing with most new cars so many functions are inter dependent on each other and with multiple signals and voltages you need more than just a code reader to get the whole picture.
The best part about being a technician these days is having to diagnose the diagnostic computers too 😂 that's sarcasm for anyone not picking that up
Thanks for sharing!
Ha ! I recently had a range Rover sport from the auction with d side seat airbag codes. It was unplugged, plugged it in and resistance came down but was a little too high. Someone put a 2.5 ohm resistor in the harness to fool the module, repair loose terminals made the connection better.

Nice Job - Now upsell that service!
Great job thanks for sharing your experience

Hi I’m from the uk and I very much like what you do at your motor shop , I’ve look at alldata and it’s very costly because I’m a one man band if you know what I mean , so is there any wiring diagram suppliers that are free or at a lower cost . Regards
You didn’t “fix” nothing you just plugged the connector back in, what a joke lol 😂😂😂
