How To Diagnose & Fix Airbag Warning Light Fault on Land Rover / Range Rover

In this video we use the Gap Diagnostics IID tool to diagnose some air bag faults on our project Land Rover Discovery Sport L550. The basic logic of looking at the fault code and live data to help you pinpoint the failure is very similar across most of the JLR models.

Hi I had similar issues about two years ago and I got a done from Land Rover dealer they replaced one of harness cable and they charged me about £300.
Nice video for learning how to fix it.

B0021 13 and B0029 13 left and right curtains deployment control unit 1 .

I have managed to fix the right sensor , but I'm not sure how to open the tope linen to fix the curtains sensor left and right module one fault.
Please can you make a video on how to open the roof lenin to fix the aribag sensor .

Best hope Pixie and Dixie aren’t still living in there somewhere,apparently it’s common to nest in the headlining and the rusty curtain airbag could be from mouse wee.

The car does not smell of mice - not sure if this is from when the car was left outside - or before I purchased the car !

Apparently newer cars use a soya based cable coating on some of the wiring, and the mice and rats love it

Seems odd that they like the airbag wires ! Not the others !

Has the car had its airbags go off? When they go a huge amount of heat is generated in the cabling, so much so it can melt connectors.

Only the bonnet airbag - the rest look original ( judging by the rust on them )

Hi i have a code b0095-31 Right frontal restraints sensor
B1004-31 Right frontal impact classification sensor
I change the sensor to the left side they work
Chekt the wire everything is fine but the airbag fault cant be removed!!?

The same tool covers most models... you want the bluetooth version of the GAP IID tool.

Like I say some wires are plastic covered and some are soya based

All that damage is surely strange….could Micky and friends get into the car through broken glass or bent panel gaps?….they must have been very slim!!! This is worrying news for future Jonny Smith barn Finds!! Seeing all the trim out and what lies beneath makes me worried…best not own an old one I think…time for an upgrade!!!🫤😱😱😃😃😃😃

Hmmm….it started because Hilary cannot get in the SL now due to osteoarthritis and I have had the DS for over five years so the idea was to sell both for something else…what has gone wrong is the market this past year or so. Now Otis going to be hard to buy another JLR model due to theft and insurance but I don’t want to leave them after such good service. The DS runs as new and tomorrow gets a full dpf clean with Ad Blue valves serviced as well so there is no need to change….but I’m thinking that my new car days are getting shorter so should I get something before it is too late….i have found a Cayenne HyBrid that is well loaded and a year old at Christmas but we need to clear a few health questions and if we do, then brave pills might be on the menu….🤔😱😳🙂😃😃😃@@L663
