nfl was depressing started off so promising with the lions beating the chiefs week 1. The chiefs had their "worst" regular season of the mahomes era, there were a whole bunch of teams in the playoffs that haven't won a superbowl (lions, bills, browns, texans) as well as a few that havent'won in a while. And then the superbowl ended up being a repeat of a few years ago with the chiefs beating the 49ers and officially becoming the new patriots

He's the reason they did not crumble in game 7 after losing all the momentum and their confidence from games 4-6. He was even keel in every press conference leading up to game 7. He genuinely believed in his boys and I'm sure that was the difference maker for all of them.
I feel overjoyed the Oilers lost! Also very happy for Bob -- eliminating the idiot Laviolette with the Rangers, who didn't believe in him in Philly, then hoisting the Cup in a victorious Game 7.
Finally, since they won, as a panthers fan i can feel good when i admit our team was a "joke". I used to be in denial but the last few years made me realize just how good the team could be.
I need to get my picture with the Cup, somehow someway. As a former Florida Jr. Panthers player, it would mean the world to me.
LETS GO CATS
It feels so freaking good to win. Thank you cats so much
Panthers!!!
well said RE
Let's Go Panthers !!!!! 😆
When you win lord stanleys cup your name goes on it, how cool is that
Hockey had the only postseason I enjoyed watching this year.
The NBA was absolutely terrible and boring, and the NFL felt almost scripted. People out there like to say both leagues are rigged, and the way the refs influenced games this year in Basketball and Football.... Can't say I blame them.
Congrats to the Panthers, that was a hell of playoffs, a hell of a run, and a hell of a Final series against a great Edmonton team. They were the best team from start to finish and they absolutely deserved it.
nfl was depressing started off so promising with the lions beating the chiefs week 1.
I love when teams get their first title. I hope my Arizona Cardinals do it soon
I can never see the puck. Can they make it bigger or color it?
I’m a fan of another team that did not make the playoffs. I’ve been listening as it’s better that way listening to Doug what a treat plus Bill. Now I am happy to say big fan of the Panthers you did it when so many were saying EDM would win I don’t think so game over. Enjoy your much deserved hoist of your Cup🏒🥅
It’s about time you talk about hockey.
MORE HOCKEY. PLEASE.
My favorite Panthers Scott Mallomby lol
Glad the 12 Florida fans showed up.
And those 12 are CHAMPS!
I'm glad you showed up to cry about it.
Florida Panthers have loyal core of great fans who have supported the team since the 1990’s when they originated in the NHL. Now, hockey will continue to grow even more in South Florida.
That's an old joke now
Dawg that joke is not original nor funny.
The only thing harder for Rich than talking about hockey is saying panthers without putting Carolina in front
The most beautiful trophy in all of sports. Full stop. It's not even a contest.
Panthers were never a laughingstock, they just weren't relevant. It would take centuries to find a better example of a laughing stock team than the Leafs.
Between 1993 and 2023 the Leafs won as many Stanley Cups as the Panthers 0
@@michaelleroy9281 Yeah, but Leafs being totally dominated by Boston for decades makes them a joke. Leafs will consistently drag series out to 7 just to throw it away as well.
Exactly. Calling a team a laughing stock just because they weren’t in the playoffs is just stupid. I love the leafs but look at them they are sometimes a playoff team but they always get first rounded by Boston, they should be the laughingstock not us.
MELAWNBY LOLOLOLOLOL
You guys seem star-struck by the Stanley Cup and we don't even get 10 minutes about hockey and the Championship? Bummer.
As a Flames fan, I couldn't be happier for the Panthers, and the POS Oilers...
I always knew that they were going to win the cup for years now
The Soo are so good.
LETS GOOOO CATS!
Thought Rich was going to make a Jets parallel at some point. No playoff series wins... and then he didn't bite the apple. There is hope for him.
Why so no one talking about the white panther king tkachuk!
Rich Eisen can talk about something besides the NFL? Who knew?
Thanks for decent coverage Steve. Can’t say the same for ESPNs coverage of the Panthers. Pathetic homers
Panthers did go to back to back championship games so there’s that too.
Most people forget they were in 1996 Stanley Cup finals, so when were they laughing stocks ?
They were swept 4 straight by the Avalanche and didn't win a playoff series again until 2022 that's probably why they have been called a laughing stock
From 1997 to about 2010’s… I mean, as a panthers fan since 1996, I have to admit, they were pretty bad lol😂
@@etahhcumosevahiyeah but they shouldn’t be the laughing stocks of the league
Panthers are going to be repeating champs 2025
way to avoid an Epic, Embarrassing and Historic meltdown last night, Florida...
Canadians weren't looking down on the Panther's team; there are, after all, 13 Canadian born players on the team, including, Bennett, Reinhart, Verhaeghe, Ekblad, Montour, and of course, the coach Maurice. We're going to see plenty of of the Stanley Cup in Canada this summer.
FLORIDA OWNS THE SUN !
Metaforically they do now.
Congratz !!
We got the cup and since we’re Floridians .. we literally don’t know what to do with it
Welp .. In the ocean it goes
Doesn’t this take air time away from some nonsensical NFL offseason storyline?
Ha! Yeah, and no Brawny and Labron nonsense either.
You mean like aaron Rodgers?
Hardest trophy in all of sport to win. I tip my cap to the Florida Panthers
I miss Hockey
Cmon, laughingstock ? Nobody ever cared enough about hockey to single them out.
These past 24-36 hours of flapping heads has made me realize how many incompetent people are talking hockey after this cup. From Rich to Shannon sharpe to Steven A. It’s ridiculous
I'm happy for the team (players and organization), but the "fans", eh not so much. Okay maybe I'm a little happy for the 3 "true" fans that you could always see in the stands, before the team became relevant. But that's about it.
Bring the whalers back!!
There are no plans for future expansion and no team is going to relocate there
@@michaelleroy9281 regardless would be nice.
Sorry but that’s not happening. If anything the NHL is going to bring the yotes back and that’s it
