Even on tertium or imperium, it goes really fast when combined with red fertilizer. I don't even use a single lily pad or automated watering can and I already have 2k+ insanium essence.
Thank you so much! I was able to find it :) I assume I need to change the line "harvesterWorkDelay" to 10 ticks as mentioned by original comment. @@joschlasamann5089
Did you end up finding the config file? Im running into the same issue where my server was lagging too much even with a netherite backpack void magnet upgrade, cant seem to find the pylon config file of the server tho@@thevlogent
Just an FYI on the 3rd point. Higher tier growth accelerators DO NOT make growth faster, they ONLY increase the range that they work. And the range is only for what is ABOVE it, they do not work in a grid. So yes you'll need one under every single dirt block. So yes you can have a 9x9 farm land with 11 rows of inferium growth accelerators under it all, I don't know if the 12 range means that the dirt needs to be on the 12th, so I just keep it safe and put only 11 rows so that the 12th is the dirt that its trying to reach. Then you can add the next tier of growth accelerators under those.
@@ryanblack99 since nobody else had the answer anywhere I looked, this is what I found world (or your worldname) > serverconfig > pylons-server.toml I believe the setting to change is harvesterwWorkDelay = 20 and i'm going to change it to 10 to see what happens.

Love it. Just replicated this in my world, but it only works in unclaimed chunks. When claimed, the router with the scythe, doesn't work. Unclaiming the chunks fixes the issue.

As always Alfred, great video! Looking forward to seeing your speedrun on youtube. I actually had the idea to try a playthrough using just Mystical, to see how far i could get and this setup would definitely help out, so thank you!
Strangely enough, when I replicate this on our server, the scythe doesn't actually turn the seed growth back to 0%, so it just stays at 'fully grown' and keeps harvesting the crops a mach 10 speeds. I've tried using the modular router without a scythe on a single seed, and it does as expected and turns the growth level back to zero. Also; all the lower tier mystical scythes doesn't lose durability in the modular router either. Edit: I just noticed that if I remove the ftb chunk claim it stops, but since I have it built in a compact machine (I've tested it outside of it with same results), I kind of have to have it chunk loaded somehow - any suggestions? Edit2: If anyone else has this problem and are reading this; it seems to come down to the ftb team property 'Block Edit Mode', which has to be set to something other than 'private' for this to work. Funny exploit though - about 6-8 seeds would drop more essence than a 64 items/t pipe could handle xD
@@dinisd6820 This should work: /ftbteams party settings ftbchunks:block_edit_mode public If not; you'll need to go to settings for your team. Click on 'My Team' in the top left (icon with 3 dudes) > settings in the top right (cog icon). > find the 'Block Edit Mode' property and set it to something other than 'private'. Note; this might be an issue if you're on a public server or something just fyi. Well, that worked for me at least - hope it helps :)
Fun facts about the building gadgets: if a fluid source block is the ONLY block within selection range of the gadget, you can set that fluid as the gadget's selected block.
have to say im loving the atm series and these farms are awesome i have a mob farm set up like the video and its raining mobs and resources im working on making this farm now and so far its insane that amount of resources from it
If you run the pylon method, the farmland does not matter aside from the essence farmland multipliers for inferium crops. You're best off saving yourself the gathering and crafting time for the red fertilizer and just use normal farmland. The reason being is that the pylons are super slow (~40 ticks an operation). It's still an amazing setup that provides so much early game. I don't think you'll need as many lily pads in the early tiers either. I ran a lot of 5 minute tests with the pylon method and it's all the same within margin of error. Tested red fertilizer, green fertilizer, rich farmland, insanium farmland. The only difference was that the insanium farmland 4x the inferium essence and provided inferium seeds as a rare secondary output. Green fertilizer does not multiply Mystical Agriculture crop output at all. Router harvesting tests are coming up, I'll comment below this when I'm done.
In the multiple 5 minute tests, I ran an average. I only did this because I'm a stats nerd and I had a lot of fun just running experiments and tests of this setup, so thank you so much for this build. I had a blast. The results, lowest to highest, for the modular harvested 17x17 farm are this (Diamond Seeds): Insanium Farmland: 8,613 essence/minute (I was shocked, but ran this more than the others to confirm) Green Fertilizer: 9,657 essence/minute (no multiplier confirmed) Dirt: 9,764 essence/minute Rich Soil: 10,598 essence/minute (makes sense, I believe this farmland has a random chance per a certain amount of ticks to have a bonemeal effect) Red Fertilizer: 17,728 essence/minute (wow!) I cannot get insanium to give even dirt levels of output. No idea why it's worse than dirt, but the tests say it's pretty bad. Still, it's within about margin of error for it, so it could be just some bad tests (I ran 5 for insanium vs. 3 for the rest). It's still the best for inferium seeds, though, just not material seeds. Still, the winner is clear. At nearly double the output, red fertilizer is indeed the best farmland.
if anyone is having issues make sure you have 'allow all fake players' set to true in ftb team settings and (stolen from another comment) (goggles icon next to give feedback in pause menu) navigate to configure then access configs of other mods type mystical agriculture then go to common then general then enable fake player watering also make sure your watering can doesn't have auto watering on(shift right click in air to toggle)
"For this starting level farm, all you're going to need is a super easy mob farm that requires dragon eggs and nether stars" I'm mostly kidding, and I get that the mob farm will work without those to some extent, but boy do I have some work ahead of me!
For insanium, I highly recommend using a Crafter 3 from RFToolUtils as you can set up an insanium compacter (with keeping the master cyrstal in) with only one block and 2 storage access points. To make it even more efficient Try putting a compacting upgrade to the chest so you'll export inferium blocks rather than stacks of the essence. I even hooked a Create belt&funnel to the chest so it just exports a stack of any given essence at a time, preventing the "flickering" in the updated storage.
For the tier 3 design to avoid tremendous lag use to fast pickup fast pickup augment on your vacuum module (also don't use a netherite backpack, they dont have enough range and arent fast enough)
tbf in atm8 you can get it rly quickly, just make a nature compass and get netherite pickaxe, you don’t need smithing templates so it’s rly easy to get early
Tiered hopper botany pots are the only way I farm essence for atm stars. Insanium farmland in a creative botany pot puts out some goooood essence, and is nice and compact
for people that dont want to install many mods to do this, use botany pots, I made a entire farm just with that and works perfectly, for "faster" transport, I just integrated create with it, if you are good with create building, this should be no problem with only Create and botany pots
Hi! I just found your farm design and wanted to make it with my first ever modded minecraftt with ATM7, but sadly i dont have the "Supremium Scythe" from MA mentioned at 13:38 I do have one from Tinkers but don't think they are the same is there a different tool I could use as a replacment for the tier 3 farm? Anyways Merry Chirstmas / Happy Holidays !!
I'd suggest using a backpack with an advanced magnet upgrade inside instead of using the second modular router. I found that there were a lot of essence on the floor with the router despite the upgrades.
i started playing the atm9 to the sky, but in atm9 normal, i made a farm like that with lilipads around the crops with 2 layers, on the side and bellow, and all growth acellerators bellow the crops, with one modular router and a vaccum hopper abova it, and it farms like 1000 items per second
yeah... considering each lilypad requires 4 catalyzing glands and 4 ribs, which are the biggest pain to get, the lilypads can be skipped and slowly added. The modular router also seems to be borked in ATM9. doesn't seem to do anything after the first time putting it down, and i have 9 speed upgrades in it and the activator module.
I found that a backpack from sophisticated backpacks is a better way to collect all the drops compared to the modular routers. They almost instantly pick up all the items.
Just here to reply to myself and say that I've had to come back to this video multiple times, because it actually works, and I can now actually think about using high-level essence equipment for the first time. Thanks.
if you're growing multiple types of crops-- using a modular router to vacuum doesn't work very well so i switched out to using 4 absorption hoppers with range upgrades :) seems to work wonders (then piped directly into ae2 system)
Advanced item collector from the item collector mod is probably the fastest collector available in ATM. It instantly collects dropped items and put into the inventory its attached to.
@@Run2SeeunYou can overwhelm it pretty easily w/ maxed out soawners. It can’t keep up w/ five vindicator spawners. A large of amount of emeralds is always on the ground.
FYI if you turn on fake player to true in the FTB team settings, I think it just goes nuts and starts growing insanely fast. I'm playing on a server and I'm not sure if its a bug or a glitch but it is insane
Just so people are aware of this little "thing" called lag. When you use method @15:25 ; you actually generate the items in the world then the router picks it up. The pylons do not generate items in the world. Based on how many people are on the server and/or how many of these farms you build, you might consider that the "fastest" setup is actually the slowest :-)
Definitely depends on if you are on a server! There are plenty of server-friendly setups, mostly involving Phytos. I personally only use Tier 2 for my speedruns, but tier 3 can be great if you replace the collecting router with either a backpack with a magnet upgrade, or with an advanced item collector.
A little tip: To cut down on lag from drops, use an Advanced Item Collector in place of the Modular Router with the Vacuum Module. The Item Collector picks up the drops instantly.
I had one issue with my farm using this method. If you build your farm over chunk borders it may cause you harvesting issues. It doesn't take much to just bring up your chunk borders before you start creating your farm.
not sure if someone mentioned it. but if you take the construction wand, put something in your offhand, you can effectivly add a new layer of the item in your offhand on the grass.
I'd like to add that you can chunk load a diamond compact machine both inside and outside and stack the farms maybe 4 high inside the machine and use item tunnels to get the resources out of the compact machine. So you could grow all your major resources inside the compact machine. From what I've seen you have to chunk load the inside and outside of the machine for it to work but doing so makes it produce and transport materials even if you aren't on the server if you're playing on your own server. So it kind of sucks that you have to chunk load two times per machine but it works and saves a ton of space.
I made 2 of these side by side sharing the 3 rows of lilys that are not under the farmland/stairs. I have one for inferium and the other for a mix of the seeds I need running at the time. I found that with 6 range upgrades that the routers are picking up from the opposite farm. I dropped it to only 2 and everything is being picked up but they no longer mix. This is what I need as all of the inferium goes to an RFtools crafter to turn into insanium while the rest goes into my storage. Just leaving this here for anyone that has the same issue in the future.
this is entirely irrelevant to the video content itself but might I ask how it is you got it to display large icons of the item you hover in the lefthand side at 4:02 ? If it's a mod that isn't EMI/JEI which mod is it?
Hey, AMAZING video !, i really learned couple new things there but i have a question, on my server its too fast and the vacuum model isnt fast enough to pick up all the items so there are thousands of essense drops on the floor, is there any way to speed up the vacuum some more ?
Btw if you are using multiple seeds on one field, use a backpack (or maybe a chest, haven't tried them) from Sophisticated with a advanced Magnet upgrade. That way you should be able to collect all Items fast enough so that nothing drops onto the floor and lingers there for multiple seconds.
I was hoping to see how you'd be able to automate crafting the inferium essence up to Supremium and Insanium essence. It's great to have 10's of thousands of inferium essence, but it takes so long to condense it.
I'm playing ATM9 and couldn't get this to work until I realized I was using a hoe and not a scythe. Here is the set up to get it to work: 1. Allow fake players. There are 2 places, one in the map section at the bottom right and the teams tab top left in the inventory screen. 2. In the activator card have it set to blacklist, and right click above. No other settings need to be changed. 3. Use a Security upgrade if you are in a claimed chunk. 4. Last but not least... use a supremum scythe!
I always turn on crating recipes for the Reliquary drops. Slime pearls can be a PITA to good even w/ a mob farm. You can use a compacting drawer to turn the essence into blocks. And then pile into a RF Tools crafter to make insanium. I haven’t found the need for production at this speed. Just set up a 9x9, w/ two Lilly pads of fertility, early and have a crafter build the insanium over time. You will have plenty by the time you’re making end game items.
@@AlfredGGMC I don't have any of the lilypads due to lack of ingredients. Rib bone, catalyzing gland and slime pearl. I don't know how to get loads of that and only idea i have is building simulation chamber.(Which i had btw before i lost the old save)

Nice video bro. These videos are really handy, not a lot of "in use" tutorials around the modded stuff.
Love it. Just replicated this in my world, but it only works in unclaimed chunks. When claimed, the router with the scythe, doesn't work. Unclaiming the chunks fixes the issue.

A work of art sir! Informative and to the point.
Funny exploit though - about 6-8 seeds would drop more essence than a 64 items/t pipe could handle xD
hey dude, how do you edit that property, im having the same issue! Thanks
@@dinisd6820 This should work:
/ftbteams party settings ftbchunks:block_edit_mode public

Click on 'My Team' in the top left (icon with 3 dudes)
> settings in the top right (cog icon).
> find the 'Block Edit Mode' property and set it to something other than 'private'.
Note; this might be an issue if you're on a public server or something just fyi.

have to say im loving the atm series and these farms are awesome i have a mob farm set up like the video and its raining mobs and resources im working on making this farm now and so far its insane that amount of resources from it
Absolutely clear instructions and even explain how things work
You are the best no cap 🎉
This is insanium! Thank you.
The results, lowest to highest, for the modular harvested 17x17 farm are this (Diamond Seeds):
Insanium Farmland: 8,613 essence/minute (I was shocked, but ran this more than the others to confirm)
Green Fertilizer: 9,657 essence/minute (no multiplier confirmed)
Dirt: 9,764 essence/minute
Rich Soil: 10,598 essence/minute (makes sense, I believe this farmland has a random chance per a certain amount of ticks to have a bonemeal effect)
Red Fertilizer: 17,728 essence/minute (wow!)
I cannot get insanium to give even dirt levels of output.
Thank u
Love your guides they helped me out tremendously keep it up :)
Thank you!! Glad I can help!
And here I am with my hopper pots. Gonna have to build this now.
Me finally doing this thinking atm9 had nerfed it
if anyone is having issues make sure you have 'allow all fake players' set to true in ftb team settings and (stolen from another comment) (goggles icon next to give feedback in pause menu) navigate to configure then access configs of other mods type mystical agriculture then go to common then general then enable fake player watering also make sure your watering can doesn't have auto watering on(shift right click in air to toggle)
Thanks for the auto-watering tip! :D

Thank you!!! I'm glad you enjoyed them :D
not even with the whole lillys i got to creative essence in one day XD
It's fast. I usually only use the second tier personally
and here i am wasting my time digging 28 blocks down each time under farmland for the growth accelerators, damn this is much easier. thx my guy xD
"For this starting level farm, all you're going to need is a super easy mob farm that requires dragon eggs and nether stars"
I'm mostly kidding, and I get that the mob farm will work without those to some extent, but boy do I have some work ahead of me!
I even hooked a Create belt&funnel to the chest so it just exports a stack of any given essence at a time, preventing the "flickering" in the updated storage.
guys focus , and do not make the same mistake as me , i made a supremium hoe instead of a scythe
For the tier 3 design to avoid tremendous lag use to fast pickup fast pickup augment on your vacuum module (also don't use a netherite backpack, they dont have enough range and arent fast enough)
"...Just making a starter farm" *holding allthemodium hoe*
tbf in atm8 you can get it rly quickly, just make a nature compass and get netherite pickaxe, you don’t need smithing templates so it’s rly easy to get early
Tiered hopper botany pots are the only way I farm essence for atm stars. Insanium farmland in a creative botany pot puts out some goooood essence, and is nice and compact

Clicked on the video mixing up Insanite and Insanium in the thumbnail... Oops. Still love the design, so I'm definitely gonna use this! Thank you!
for people that dont want to install many mods to do this, use botany pots, I made a entire farm just with that and works perfectly, for "faster" transport, I just integrated create with it, if you are good with create building, this should be no problem with only Create and botany pots
I believe there is an AOE scythe/sickle from Tinkers. Also merry christmas!
I’ve been using an advanced item collector instead of vacuum modules and it works well
I'd suggest using a backpack with an advanced magnet upgrade inside instead of using the second modular router. I found that there were a lot of essence on the floor with the router despite the upgrades.
Try out the Advanced Item Collector
i started playing the atm9 to the sky, but in atm9 normal, i made a farm like that with lilipads around the crops with 2 layers, on the side and bellow, and all growth acellerators bellow the crops, with one modular router and a vaccum hopper abova it, and it farms like 1000 items per second
yeah... considering each lilypad requires 4 catalyzing glands and 4 ribs, which are the biggest pain to get, the lilypads can be skipped and slowly added.
The modular router also seems to be borked in ATM9. doesn't seem to do anything after the first time putting it down, and i have 9 speed upgrades in it and the activator module.
Make you a mob farm for the glands and ribs!
I found that a backpack from sophisticated backpacks is a better way to collect all the drops compared to the modular routers. They almost instantly pick up all the items.
once again fantastic video!
Great Video, was really helpful.
Nice, it's good to see someone else actually using the Pylons mod. It seems to get no love despite how useful it can be.
I believe using Backpacks with magnet upgrades are the fastest for grabbing up the essence. This works too!
@@AlfredGGMC wait can you have them grab while not being on your person? thats sick
@@neetirl If you hold it in your hand and shift right click, you can place them!
Advanced item collector from the item collector mod is probably the fastest collector available in ATM. It instantly collects dropped items and put into the inventory its attached to.

Ayyy! Chosen's the goat!
Very helpful video ! Thanks for the upload my man
Thank you for watching!!!
A little tip: To cut down on lag from drops, use an Advanced Item Collector in place of the Modular Router with the Vacuum Module. The Item Collector picks up the drops instantly.
I've also found that this lags. The best for lag is a Backpack with a Magnet upgrade, unless you are only using a few seeds!
You can add a pickup upgrade to the modular router so that it picks up items instantly.
works beautifully 😍😍thank you sir!! (I made it on atm9 in its beta stages and worked just as well)
How did you get the scythe to work?
5:46 Whaaaaaaaattttt.... Yeah I didn't know until this tutorial either! Thank you!
I had one issue with my farm using this method. If you build your farm over chunk borders it may cause you harvesting issues. It doesn't take much to just bring up your chunk borders before you start creating your farm.
I mean you physically have to for the tier 3 design, unless ur in about the main farm area itself and not the lilypads
@@qwart22 - A chunk is 16x16. Even with the lilypads it's only 11x11 (9x9 +1 in each direction).
Thanks for promoting this, nice lag machine for the servers! 😂
I love it! 😂
not sure if someone mentioned it. but if you take the construction wand, put something in your offhand, you can effectivly add a new layer of the item in your offhand on the grass.
4:53 How does one know the Imperium watering can is doing its stuff?
It will be a ton faster. If you're on ATM9, it won't work.
@@AlfredGGMC Thanks for that Alfred. I'm not noticing much difference, so I'm wondering if I have the wrong redstone setting.
@@AlfredGGMC The can doesn't work? Is there a better farm for ATM9 now? Thanks!
I might actually do this in my next speedrun!
@@AlfredGGMC Your welcome
Can you use the omnidirectional connector to get the items out without having to chunk load an extra time?
@@JamesStansell I would use ender tanks or chest to get items out.
I would switch to Advanced Item Collectors for the collection!
what was the spinning thing at 0:21
That was a contraption I made using Create to try out as a collection system. It didn't make it to the final tiers!

Love you bro. Thanks for this
I was hoping to see how you'd be able to automate crafting the inferium essence up to Supremium and Insanium essence. It's great to have 10's of thousands of inferium essence, but it takes so long to condense it.
I can do something like this! maybe as a short :D

Modular routers are bad for picking up items, i suggest using advanced item collectors instead. They can cover the whole farm if you configure it.
The item collectors are good! I've also been seeing a lot of lag out of them as well on our ATM9 server.

The cyclic mod has an amazing item collector. You will place it on the side of the farm rather than in the center.
