    Excommunication is not meant to be merely a punishment sending people out of the Church. It’s telling them that they were already away from the Church before this decision was made and that they must repent in order to come home.

    • @colinwithonel
      @colinwithonel หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      yes and no. There is part of it which is acknowledging the individual is already not with the Church spiritually and perhaps has excommunicated himself already by a certain action. But the official pronouncement of this is a public and juridical action, a warning to the excommunicant to repent and return to communion with the Church, but also as a public example for others who might be in the same danger to turn around themselves.

      Nope. The only 2 things Viganò has in common with Luther is that both were convinced their ideas were right and both ended up getting excommunicated and that's where their similarity ends. The only reason reformation was a "revolutionary scale success" is becouse of polititians (good portion of german nobility) supporting it, embracing it, financing it and promoting it to the point of dealing with violence agains any local opposition... that included military interventions...

    The devil is cunning by snatching souls of religious leaders when they are at advanced age because the devil knows it's the fastest and easiest path since there will be less time left for them to repent. Same can be seen with Cardinal Zen, who's not even realised that the devil is tempting him and with just one major error, all his works with Catholic Church will be wasted. Pray for them much that they persevere in the faith and not having their life worth of merits be nullified at the eleventh hour.

He believes in Protestants Sola Fide version of what EENS actually means, that's why they hate Vatican II so much. It's like saying: why i live a holy life and faithful to the lord, if bad sinners and pagans still can be allowed to enter the Kingdom.
    It's urgent today that we pray for the conversion of Vigano and all Catholics who abandoned Catholic Church.

    Jesus said to leave the 99 and go for the 1 Lost Sheep. In this Jesus, clearly wanted us to know that He does not like it when we separate or lose a sheep.
    We do not take sides, we are Sheep that follow the shepherd, we get confused when things are not clear too many voices within the Church and now the Lay has only managed to throw more firewood into the fire albeit some are very faithful to the Church. Others for selfish reasons.

    If someone tells you they stand with Vigano, ask them if they know Vigano says Francis is not the pope.
    Whether they say yes or no, ask them if they agree with Vigano that Francis is not the pope.
    If they say no, then tell them they do not actually stand with Vigano. If they say yes, then tell them such a belief is nothing more than the definition of excommunication.
    Either the pope is the pope-warts and all-or you are excommunicated.

    W 👌🔥 If he can't obey, then he doesn't deserve to be in that place. Every bishop takes an oath before they are ordained to obey their superiors. If he can't keep that, then he isn't what he thinks he is. [Obedience Is Better than Sacrifice - 1 Samuel 15:22]

      You can put yourself into a position of being in excommunication automatically (called latae sententiae) by certain acts. So they could conceivably be in excommunication without the Pope having to declare them as such

    My dear Jesus, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Allow me to pray United Through, With, and In Your Supreme Fiat to repair and redo all the acts of Carlos Maria Vigano, and all others like him, as though he never sinned and always Lived In Your Thrice-Holy Divine Will, claiming in this moment of time what You, O Christ, have already Accomplished and Completed - once for all and for each one throughout Eternity - and we pray this on behalf of all people of all time - past~present~future, multiplying this prayer to Infinity for the Sanctification of all and each one. Fiat! Amen! So Be It! 🙏🙏🙏
    May the Lord have mercy upon his soul ~ may he find True Repentance. Fiat et Amen.
