The enemy of my enemy is my friend tactic. These corrupt prelates -Viganò and Müller for starters- end up as heroes of the trads.

No wonder so many Italians (in Italy) have distanced themselves from the Church (not that I’m justifying it but I can totally see why).
They get to hear about all this kind of corruption first, for decades already.

I have relatives in Italy. They have confused the government sugar daddy with God.

It makes perfect sense that Pope Francis is being sheltered from a lot of what’s happening. He should reevaluate his advisors. But if he doesn’t even know…? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have to agree with you Michael, my sense is that this is very likely. My fear for Pope Francis is that apart from those around him sabotaging him, there is also elder abuse at play. Keep up your good work, let us unite in greater love, prayer, and loyalty to Our Holy Father ❤🎉❤

I wish he was leading the charge, but I think you might be right about the people around him. Very concerning and I pray that Pope Francis is able to solve this. I look forward to your insight on this going forward

Thank you Michael. I do believe that Pope Frances lives a life somewhat distant from society, as he should to some degree. However, I also believe he would have a person or persons who advise him daily on matters, at least, pertainent to the faith.

I think pope Francis waited to see what was really true before commenting.

He doesn’t watch tv or any social network, and he only responds when the situation has spread worldwide so there’s something to do with his stuff who share this information with him.

Corruption with the bishoprics has always been there. Will always be there. However the church must always be vigilant about rooting it out

  • @MiaMegan-me

Pope Francis really need to be more concerned of his most trusted stuff because I have noticed that when something major happens he takes a while to respond ( until the problem spreads ww) so if he isn’t watching tv or any social media networks, there’s a problem with the one who gives these information with him.

it could just be he's old, he's disabled, he's got breathing problems, he might have some memory problems and cognitive issues, and yet he's trying to run a 2000-year-old international institution and juggle all the problems and prioritize them correctly.

Pope Francis doesn’t look the best, I fact I think his health is getting worst and could be in a lot of pain - would perhaps his delay is that there is ailment that prevented him from usual work and when got back there was a backlog of tasks to catch up on.
Like I know these kind of situations have happened to me - I manage a financial department myself whenever I am on holidays or out sick, it’s the administrative duties that usually suffer and has people jumping up and down to get done.
