Once night mode is turned on for S21, Pro 40 lost. I am using P20 and Google Play store is my first priority, skipping Huawei mobile in my next upgrade.
There is also a big price difference now, p40 you cam get it now for like 600 euros and thes21 ultra for double 1200 euros

@mixcat9868 I bought it and sold it again because some apps didn't work without the Google services. For example I couldn't use Google drive for my photos..

What is on a very different quality level for the are their hybrid focal length capabilities. S21u at for example 5x zoom has really poor quality whereas P40 Pro at 3x zoom (also digital) keeps way better a very high image quality at hybrid zoom ranges. What do you think?
P40 Pro seems really good. And it's 1/3 the price of S21 Ultra.

I had a p30pro and was forced out of it by AT&T. I got the s21 ultra amd it seriously sucks compared to the p30 pro. Huawei is so much better

Keep in mind that Huawei and Samsung released 3 phones. Huawei: p40, p40 pro, p40 pro plus. Samsung: s21, s21+, s21 ultra. You should compare s21+ with p40 pro and s21 ultra wtih p40 pro plus. Great video tho!

Comparing 1 by 1 and side by side photos with random result, sometimes photo from P40 Pro win, another sometimes S21 ultra win.
So i think software photo processing of two smartphones (not just lens) has an important role here.

In my opinion, the S21 Ultra win.
The photos have more definition and colors more balanced.
Only noticeable differences for me were zooming and some cases of video. S21 Ultra has a better camera overall but not price justified. P40 Pro with half the price wins by a landslide.
in my country p40 is not even 20% cheaper :(
@@javiermichel6216 in my country the s21 ultra is around 1,3k€ while the p40 pro is around 620€. The choice is clear. If you have money to burn you go for the best phone itw (s21 ultra). The vfm choice for a budget is p40 pro. (The price is that low probably due to few people buying the model and no gms)
The zoom is better on the Huawei phone, 4k/30 zoom is significantly better than the 4k/60 zoom on the Huawei.

It reminds me of the days of comparing Sony flagship with iPhone and Samsung galaxy.
Sony was always closest to natural colours and looks etc. With Samsung and iPhone being more about saturation to give more vibrant colours that are pleasing on the eye.
Samsung is like Sony of old and huawei like the iPhone and galaxy in this video
biggest minus in general for p40 pro is the narrow wide angle. it's just not good. otherwise great despite tough conditions.
Im a huawei fan but there are things that I like more with samsung. But both of them performed a well defined and good quality photos and videos.

Still use p40 pro.. More here more satisfied with the camera performance, unfortunately it consumed more power when use this beast camera. I wish next update it would be decreased by Huawei. Overall can't beat by others for results

Iako treba voditi računa o razlici između ova dva modela (S21U je ipak ovogodišnji u usporedbi sa P40 izašlim prošle godine), Samsung pokazuje mišiće i prevlast. Dinamički raspon je odličan, smanjili kontrast i jačinu boja koji su imali godinama, svaka leća od ultraširoke do zooma odlično funkcionira i imaju ono najbitnije - konzistentnost. Da li su idealne? Naravno da ne, osobno smatram da tu i dalje prednost ima Iphone sa vrhunskim white balanceom i color profileom. Ali sama snaga kamere da ju prosječna osoba upali i pukne fotku na automatskim postavkama je zavidna.
Iako P40 nema čega da se srami, jednostavno taj prenaglašeni kontrast, gubitak detalja u sjenama, čudna kalibracija boja (pogotovo plave) osobno mi čine razliku. Noćni mod kojeg je prvi patentirao Huawei ponekad izvlači i previše svjetla te čini cjelokupne slike presvijetlima i nerealnima u noćnim uvjetima. Video je već godinama slabija strana Huawei telefona i nikako da naprave iskorak. Konkurencija je tu i dalje ispred, pogotovo nedodirljiv Iphone.
Makar, u razgovoru sa ljudima ispada da prosječni korisnici čak i preferiraju taj dinamičan, naglašen izgled slika sa Huawei uređaja. Spreman odmah za društvene mreže i objave na Facebooku i Instagramu.

Sve istina, ali ipak je ovaj huawei godinu dana stariji i upola jeftiniji. Cekamo p50 pro+ pa da ga poredimo sa ovim samsungom. Pritom nije ni nakbolji huawei telefon sto se tice kamere
definitely the Samsung has better camera, but it over contrast the colors and suffers in night. The choice here depends on pleasures

What i saw( watch it 3 times) Huawei wins clearly in almost all tests( some r equal, some r tiny tiny slower...) But, P40 PRO is Winner anyway( in my tests only on video segment-but not realy so much ) Samsung wins... In practice it would be( just 4 example) 7:3 or 8:2 for P40 PRO. So, lets wait 4 S22 Ultra.... Yeah, i paste it...
S21 is more advanced than P40 pro. The problem with P40 pro doesn't support Google play, which cause a problem. I always fail to attend online meetings because the meetings app needs a Google play to download it which is not supported by Huawei

A higher pixel count doesn't always tell the complete and accurate story or guarantee absolutely a better image. Not only can less pixels but larger each intake greater amounts of light per pixel but beyond that, when recording continuously (video) greater intensity of light captured frame after frame in volume is more stable and processable, resulting in significantly improved low-light performance. Newer superior recording codecs also enhance big vibrant pixels with stunning results, where the increased light/data-info-per-pixel benefit can be applied toward depth-of-field enhancements giving both pictures and videos more organic and cinematic polished results. I have an S21 Ultra with 108 pixel-binned megapixels that records decent pics/vids but it just doesn't compete with actual handheld DSLR APS-C or Full-Framed sized sensor cameras with 24 mp or even *half that,* plus the ergonomics and accessories. At the end of the day, a cellphone is still a phone first, no matter how many megapixels it's claimed to have.
@@trendscoutplus4584 yeah I'am with you the megapixels is less than 240 or 108 etc .. but actually even if not 108 it will have a very good quality .i saw a 4k on a infinix device it's not even FHD 😂😂 so,not all the quality is the same on different devices , like the iphone has 13 megapixels with 4k and amazing quality not like a few devices that have 64 or 108 megapixels with 4k but a low quality image or video.

why?????????? are you not comparing the huawei p40 pro PLUS??? if you're going for ultra samsung , do the same for huawei and get the p40 pro plus...yes the penta camera , the 10 x optical zoom, and 100 overall zoom...i don't know what you didn't.........overall result? well the s21 ultra is very good...but its being compared to the 2020 huawei...and not even the best one!! the huawei p50 pro plus is coming soon....compare that with the s21 ultra :)
It's simple reason. I don't own P40 Pro Plus. However, P40 Pro Plus only have different zoom lenses, while wide and ultrawide are the same on both phone. So, skip parts of zoom comparison if you don't like. Still, I would say that P40 Pro with 5x lens sometimes make better result than S21 Ultra with 2 zoom lenses.

p40 pro is a clear winner and keep in mind he is not comparing with p40 pro plus and this phone is half the price, samsung is a fail for the price they are asking and a rip off, is good but doesnt worth its money

During the day nothing happens between the two, but you can tell that the P40 pro is oversaturated with the colors in many cases and places them too cool. The s21 ultra does this much better. The p40 pro does not keep up with the S21 Ultra in videos. The s21 Ultra has the better dynamic range and the slightly more natural colors. In low light without activated night mode, the p40 pro gets a bit more out of it, but as soon as night mode is activated, Samsung is the winner. Since Samsung reproduces the colors more naturally and also illuminates the darker areas better. So in actually every discipline, Samsung is slightly superior.
Huawei is completely on software and Samsung is on hardware.. Both are great

You should use p40pro plus the same as using 10 optical zoom.p40pro has 5x optical zoom s21 ultra has 10x optical zoom. No sister.

P40 pro ima dobre kvaltitete kada se radi o nocnoj fotografiji. Nekako je cudno da obicna nocna fotka izgleda bolje od NOCNE nocne fotke. Generalno S21 U pravi bolje fotke i po danu i po noci. A sa video zapisom je ispred P40 Pro, upravo za generaciju. Kada se pogleda kvalitet boja, senke, DR, portrait itd... ne znam odakle ljudi izvlace informacije da P40 pro pravi bolje fotke ili video zapise...

huawei cannot handle red light,why you making day photos with optical zoom and night with digital?
Camera application automatically choose which sensor would take picture based on light condition. That's why zoom picture sometimes taken from main lens (presented as digital) instead telephoto lens (presented as optical).

@@hsh3710 Pro mode on S21 Ultra have only ultrawide and wide lens. I'm not sure for P40 Pro because I don't have it anymore. However, my camera comparisons are always based on auto photo mode, which average user usually use.
@@TipTopYT Every camera in a phone should be tested on plants and only then you can see if it is refined or not. In the picture with leaves you can see how it blurs objects, so the quality of the camera leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately the huawei is no better.
It is surprising that samsung abandoned the manual camera, but they improved it by creating expert raw app.Taking pictures only in auto mode does not allow you to get the best quality picture,so you can't really judge the capabilities of the camera.
