I have a theory that they can be twins, now I can see that they share similar physical traits, and would also explain that both of them working in the Mansion when they were both alive
This goes over my favorite ghost in the mansion, partially since I am a librarian and also in part because of the different elements used to scare/unnerve readers and listeners between versions of the Tales from the Mansion series. For the record, no, I do not believe Amicus and the Ghost Host are one and the same. There are a myriad of implications in the text, and in Amicus' overall conduct with the living during the series, but unless I see it in writing that he is the Ghost Host, I will treat my fellow librarian and 'friend of the Arcane' as a separate entity.
When I first read the books (that took a full two years) I was willing to believe that Arcane was the Ghost Host. Now seeing the similarities between the Hatchet man and Arcane it still could be possible but I waiting for Disney to confirm it. I always love taking each book on the ride with me so I could take in what I know about the lore and leaving it up to interpretation.
They are regular novels, middle-grade vocabulary interspersed with Disney trivia nods (mainly Haunted mansion lore) and plenty of asides to the readers/listeners. I have read all four volumes of it, and even made recordings of reading four of the 14 shorter stories contained therein.

Same lol
AAAA YESSS I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR A VIDEO ON HIM! Thank you!
So he’s like the Crypt Keeper meets Rod Sterling.
That is an apt fusion of horror hosts to describe him.
I swear it would be so cool if Disney managed to make names and stories for every 999 happy haunt
I love amicus arcane :]
Love this deep cut haunt :0
Where can you find the audiobooks? I’ve been looking everywhere.
That image of him with the huge creepy grin makes him look like the Joker
Makes me think of vampires in movies before the 80s. Think Christopher Lee's feral grin as Dracula.
what are the tales from the haunted mansion books? regular novels or graphic novels?
