      Hi Jimmy, thanks for watching. You're right they are very hard to get at the moment. Luckily I got the chance at this one as the next delivery they were looking at was October. Its a great bit of kit, hope you get yours sorted out soon, it will be worth the wait.

      Hi Nigel. Bet you can't wait. The colour is a real head turner. Had a few people come over to me when filling up and ask questions about the bike. Only a week to go so not long. Over the next week I'll try and get a vlog of how to use the roads sense app uploaded. Works well with the X-ADV

      They are great bikes Jon. Just been busy setting mine up for some adventure touring. One thing that it is important on the X ADV is to set up your suspension properly. It has plenty of adjustment and the stock setting was way out on mine. it's a different bike now I have set it up correctly for my weight. noticeable difference in handling and traction.

    Thanks for the video! I cannot decide between this and Forza 750. My biggest difficulty lies with the seat hight in combination with the wide seat and my relatively short inside leg. When riding 2-up and fully loaded, standing is really important to me. Did you get the chance to compare X-ADV with Forza 750 regarding the seating ergonomics?

    • @SVTaurito
      @SVTaurito  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Claudius, unfortunately i did not try the Forza as i wanted the dual sport set up that the X-ADV offered. I would definitely try both of them out to see what suits you best.

    Great to finally hear from an actual owner about what it's really like to live with the X adv. Two questions I was keen to hear about but did not. One is what is it like two up on the highway? Given its already 235kg wet, does the engine struggle to haul esp uphill? Two is about maintenance. I follow this bike on FB Europe group and a common gripe I hear is what a faff it is to get to the engine to change oil, plugs and oil filters. A lot of Plastics in the way. Can you corroborate this?

    • @SVTaurito
      @SVTaurito  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi James, Thanks for watching the video. From a touring two up perspective it has no problem at all. Its got plenty of torque and you wont have an issue. I have had friends on the back and cruised happily at motorway speed. Very comfy for the pillion also. I had good feedback on the rear pillion pegs, they are a good size and well set. I haven't serviced it myself, leave that to Honda so i cant advise on servicing unfortunately!. One thing to note is that the suspension is surprisingly good and got plenty of adjustment. I have just calculated the sag and adjusted to suit my weight and luggage and it handles really well. The stock setting was off so if you get one make sure you adjust the suspension to suit the weight that suits you. Hope this helps

    Honda Forza 6,300 Euro comes with an electric screen. ADV 750 12,600 Euro, manual screen, I agree it should come with heated grips & cruise control standard. I looked at this bike but for me, it's 50 Kilos heavier than the ADV 350 & twice the price.

    You've had it a few months now.. i was wondering, any regrets? Like do you regret buying a scooter over a conventional bike? I'm seriously considering an x-adv, but it's a huge chunk of cash, i don't want to get one then wish I'd bought something else later. 😊

    • @SVTaurito
      @SVTaurito  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Barry, no regrets at all. I like how easy it is to ride and how its such a capable machine. Now im getting a few miles on it im finding myself getting more use out of the DCT. Been using the manual shifters much more and can toggle between riding modes quickly. It is expensive, but i do think its value for money when you look at its specification and standard equipment. I have had the GS and the Tigers before but as i am now getting a bit older the DCT, storage and comfort is a must for me. No matter what bike you get the its the one you use the most that matters. I can just get on the X ADV and im off out without any worries. It does not have the BHP of the bigger ADV's but its in no way under powered and I actually think the power and torque is just right. Its not scary but also no slouch either. I will be touring for about 100 miles today and intend to take it on some green lanes soon (just applied for my permit). When i get some time ill post a few more vids. Plan to do one on the Honda Roadsync app (its great) and some light off roading too. Hopefully you can get a demo for a few days to really try it out before parting with all that cash!

      @@SVTaurito thanks for taking the time to reply! A torquey parallel twin had always been my preferred power plant, tried an inline 4 Honda (CBF1000) but it always felt like it needed another gear after sixth.. The DCT is the big draw for me.. does the bike come with sat nav? or can you cast your iPhone on to the screen?

    • @SVTaurito
      @SVTaurito  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does through an app called Honda Road Sync. Once hooked up you have info for nav/calls/text and music on the screen. All through voice command or the control buttons on the handlebar. Its not like android auto/apple car play though. You wont get a map with turn by turn directions. Its all through your helmet speakers. Its pretty good and works well. I didn't find much on the internet on how it functions and works so will do an upload in the next couple of weeks for others.

      @@SVTaurito I'm thinking about one as i would look silly on an Africa twin (5'8" - 30" inside leg), the DCT is the main attraction for me and the options for leg position. Do you think it's a viable long distance tourer if it had extra luggage?

      @SVTaurito  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@baz5806 I took mine out a few weekends ago for a 5 hr cruise. Mainly motorway and A roads. Its a really comfortable place to be and as you've said the change available in foot position takes the pressure of the knees. I would have no problem taking this on a long trip.
