Mate, thank you so much for showing me how to blouse my boots correctly, I kept getting yelled at by my sergeant for not having my boots bloused correctly
Anyone teaches that first method at a cadet unit, they need a good slap! The only way we were ever taught at cadets , was the 2nd way using ‘Lackies’. Easiest and best way. Good video either way.
I recently got my uniform after 12 weeks and this will help alot thanks, cause we have opening night for our unit at our new place and apparently the person in charge of the army cadets is flying down for the opening night
our pants have elastics in the pant leg which I was taught to tighten below the sock after folding it down then take all the excess and fold it under the elastic.
thats so much man evrytime we do uniform inspection i always get my blousing messed up and ill have a hard time trying t fix it up once we get dismissed from the inspection but ill try the sock way and if that dosent work ill try the alternative 👍
I used the sock method. The big thing is having enough extra leg of your pants at the bottom to make sure even when you stretch or run the blouse doesn't come completely undone. You probably want trousers that are a touch "too long" so you have that length to work with.
The best way to rank up is to but in 110% at all times, that being said you can still have a joke and a laugh with your mates but behave if that makes sense. And if an opportunity arises for you to go on a promotion course, take it
My last day in the Aussie army was in 1973 we always bloused our boots using your second method, but we were told never to cross lace our boots when did that change?
Hi Sir, cross lacing where your outside lace goes over the inside (left lace on left boot, and vice versa). Was pretty recent I believe, around the 2000''s I am unsure of the actual dates. I am in the AAFC and we use bar lacing for our SD Boots (Ceremonial Dress). And for our GPU boots (The new General Pattern Uniform for the Air Force), we use cross lacing.
How long have you been in Cadets for and what rank are you. I am joining soon and am excited as hell! Also, how long does it take to rank up approximately?
well, you have to be a recruit for a minimum of six months depending on the unit, followed by a cadet for a minimum of six months (you're supposed to anyway) but it varies depending on the unit. I have been in cadets for three years
Yo I’m a cadet and i have the pants with the elastic in the cuff of the pants. This vid would’ve been soooo helpful to me a few terms ago when I joined when I had to do blousing
@@alvatrooper pretty much do it the same way, if you have elastics it’s easier because you can just put them over the boot and tighten the elastic but I prefer it this way

No worries mate, as stated in the video this is my way of doing it but there are many ways to do it.
same thing happens to me
mate you are a actual hero, i always get in trouble from my seargent and corporal during dress inspection
Awesome video this was my first day at cadets and this video helped me do my boots thanks for the help👍
Thanks! I got recommended this by my section commander in the AAFC! VERY HELPFUL!

same it was either lackies or the blousing band that was already with the pants
As a CPL this has been a great resource to use, cheers mate

Thanks for the video. My unit taught me to wrap my sock around my laces before doing the laccy method. Is this necessary?
You don’t need to but if that’s the way you were taught use it
If you go on Amazon you can buy these things called twisties that do the same thing but half the effort
Hey mate, do you have any videos on how to blouse with the pants that have the stringy thing on them??
you're meant to tie them tight and tuck them under, but if they're too long, what I do is roll them up. hope this helps
Can you make a video on how to lace your boots?
Thank you so fucking much from the bottom of my heart good on you
thanks so much, hopefully my Corporal won't yell at me anymore lol

Thank you for your service mate! Not entirely sure when the new way came in, I prefer ladder lacing but that’s the way it is now.
Hi Dave, I served in cadets from 1990-1995 and we were still using the old method of lacing then
