I got the same issues on my S&W, same model. I noticed the same thing too, so I sent it back to S&W. I just got it back couple weeks ago, and yes, the issue is fixed. The slide lock does not raise up when I pulled the trigger anymore.
Some TH-camr put over 1,640 rds thru his M&P comp and didnt have one issue, he loved it. I love all your pistols but some Glock fans fail to mention their Glock malfunction issues (nothing too major) and they do happen more often than you think. Great review. My next chose might be one of the three you got or the new Springfield XDM 10mm (3.8" barrel). I have enough 9mm.
@@lawrencethompson3726 i seen that video but it was with the polymer version. and he didnt show us him shooting 1,640 either lol. ill be doing a 1,000 rd review on that one as well & thanks bro , personally i never had an issue with any of my glocks, in my opinion the best ones ever created are the g45,g19, and g17 cant go wrong with either model . xdm is def a good 10mm choice as well 🔥🔥
Thanks for the review! I picked up the polymer compact version. Not sure if it’s the same for the metal but you can sand the polymer grip a little to be less aggressive on your skin when carrying. what holster are you running?
ill probably end up doing that & let me know how the polymer one goes for you. im currently running the bravo concealment holster m&p 4.25 inch. its a perfect fit
Smith Wesson's QC has been horrible lately. I sent a new Sheild Performance Center Plus back 2x and still had to fix it myself. It's hit and miss with them.
What did the gun smith do to fix it? Did you contact smith and Wesson to see if they had an opinion? Curious as I was really interested in the this pistol as I have many m&p’s
i told him what i thought the problem was which was the trigger hitten the slide lock internally so he stripped it and adjusted the trigger to not interfere with the slide lock and it worked fine after that. contacted smith nd wesson but they just said send it in which i didnt want to do so i took it to the gun smith nd its solid now 💪🏼
This appears to be a common problem with many this Comp model. I am having this issue and was hoping it fixes itself with a little break in period. If not it will be going back to S&W. It really should be a recall given how widespread the issue seems to be. Even the Humble Marksman is having the issue and I noticed Skips Gunz pistol was doing it as well.
@@Tradewerk yeah i was the first one to put the issue on youtube and eveyone kept saying it was me causing it 💀😂, but take it to ur gunsmith and tell him that when u press your trigger it's engaging your slide stop and making it have slide lock. they shud be able to fix it like they did mine
I don't have the Metal Carry Comp yet but when I do I have a feeling I will still use my Glock 19x MOS for home defense. Going to a gun show today to look for the Metal Carry Comp and Canik Rival S Chrome. Stay safe!

glad u got yours fixed bro! it sucks u had to return ur new pistol to s&w. they should test all products before releasing them!!!

yeah i still carry my glock 19 or 45, i would but 900-1,000 rounds before carrying it . but its definitely a good looking gun! stay safe as well!
@@j.zhredz Well I picked up the Metal Carry Comp today and am extremely happy with purchase, going to range tomorrow for first shots

And that's the important thing...how it feels in your hand. For me the S&W feels better in my hand. But personal preference is a big part of it.
@@DarlingEbony yeah everyone got a different taste, but this gun performance better then any glock hands down !!
@@j.zhredz Yeah, I want one. I carry a Shields as everyday carry. I want the Shield Comp and the one you just showed.

Also shield plus carry comp would be a good review
coming soon as well 👌, uploading 1,000 round review monday on carry comp metal frame first
Who want's to dirt/mud test? Glock vs M&P let's go.
1000 round review coming ? On carry comp
coming soon, uploading 1,000 round review on monday and ill let everyone know if the gun is worth the price 👍
S&W is wrong for their label. A 4.25 M&P is a full size pistol, not a carry. That is my duty weapons and it is definitely full size.
@@BanditApache-nd6lu yeah its definitely a bigger gun compared to a glock 19 .
Thing is, we carry full sized pistols.

If you want a better gun just go Canik
@@michaelstephens4927 had caniks before , there alright. had a couple jams with my tp9
