was there ever a best opening to a music video???? I hate it that genius like this never made it to the masses ....when you think of all the shite that made it big it shows that there really is no justice in this world ... I just thank the gods of rock that the video is still here for us to enjoy
One of the best bands I had the privilege of doing lights & sound for! Then Dimwit, (Ken Montgomery) died. He was the original drummer for DOA. The Four Horsemen were contracted to do 4 albums. Their second album, without Dimwit, had "A Song For Absent Friends", a tribute song for Dimwit. A year after that, Frankie Starr crashed his Harley & was in a coma, for 3 years, before he died. The band didn't record the 3rd or 4th albums. Dimwit & Frankie, may your glasses always be full!
One of, if not the best hard rockin band to come out of the 1990s....RIP The Four Horsemen. I had the pleasure of seeing these guys opening for Anthrax back in 1994. WOW.
i saw thes guys in concert...had a t-shirt....on the front had pic of the album cover...on the back said "known by many loved by none" i wore that thing out....freakin awesome band!!!!! bidness is good!!!!!
I heard this on a rock station the other day and the DJ intro'd it with .... " I'll now play you a song by a band that should have ruled Earth" Like that DJ , I too recall first hearing The Four Horsemen and this tune and thought... "man, these guys are fuckin' great" . Awesome band.. great song.
+JackinRI ya they were very under rated band, and like Rocky said.. if they came out 5-10 years earlier they would have been more successful but grunge was just breaking through then.
the drummer and vocalist passed away .....they left us with the best rock music of the early 90's ...thats as just as fresh and wholesome as the day it was conceived

@Gov502010... Close... The drummer was Ken "Dimwit" Montgomery and he was the brother of Danzig's drummer, Chuck Biscuits. Chuck took over briefly on drums for the Horsemen after Dimwit died. Frank C. Starr died, 4 years after the accident, from injuries suffered when he was hit by a drunk driver on his motorcycle. Ron Young (Little Caesar) took over on vocals.
i was on tour with these guys working for the opening band, Wildside, and they were a GREAT band with GREAT music. They were ALL a great bunch of guys and i enjoyed touring with them more than anybody else. RIP Frank, we both had a love of motorcycles, and RIP Dimwit, hardest hitting drummer i have ever seen.
It's crazy to see footage of Dimwit as a short haired punk rocker with DOA (my all-time favorite band),and then with longhair playing bluesy rock. I love this man. I only wish i could've met him. Dimwit R.I.P
God damn these fellas bring the ROCK. What a great, under appreciated band. Why they never found mainstream success will always remain a mystery to me.
+Randy Nailling Couple of friends of mine bring their Harleys over and we use my garage as the shop and bar. We always listed to Rockin is my business and Metallicas Sandman. Found a old used Fender amp and turn up the volume. Long live rock.
