I love Fiji. I am married to Fiji Indian and I am so lucky. Fiji is a beautiful country and Fiji people are friendly and relaxed. I love the Island time 😃. Bula Vinaka !!
Yes agreed
For your information, fiji born Indian speaks and writes better Hindi. Hindi is been taught right from home and then to class 1 to high school and the universities. Come and visit Fiji and you will find out.
umm okay, they might write good Hindi, but don't compare bruh. We write good Hindi too🙂
@@user-ks98yw73xy6we can write better hindi than non resident indians
@@user-ks98yw73xy6no actually we can't because our language has become kind of mix with eng so it's now hinglish so the problem is we don't know proper Hindi as well as eng.
@@kamisamaofhell5050 I was talking about 'writing' Hindi, not 'speaking'. I can write perfect Hindi & people around me can too. I can also speak Shuddh Hindi if I want to, though people ofcourse have started using it less & while speaking we generally use Hinglish, but that doesn't mean that we don't know how to bruh.
Nope you dont 😂😂 fiji hindi has a different dialect due to which they are far away from shudh hindi. Ek fiji wali ladki aayi splitsvilla, alag hi ajib hindi bolti thi

India ❤ Fiji
Man it’s so crazy that we have so many ‘cousin’ nations across the world - the Indian story in Fiji and Trinidad in particular (but of course, others as well) have fascinated me for a while.
I hope we can foster better relations with them!
All the works of the British.
The Roma people in Europe also have Indian roots, they're long-lost cousins to some of our Banjara tribes.
No we actually talk in Fiji Hindi but can speak and Read Hindi, Sanskrit , Urdu very well coz its taught in Schools . And not all Fiji Indians Ancestors were labourers brought to Work there as Girmityas but some came as free man . Lastly Every Indian speak Fiji Hindi / Hindi here fluently even the South Indians.
Not only Hindus live in Fiji but also in Suriname who emigrated to Suriname at the time as contract workers but were treated as slaves. Also in Suriname, Hindus can understand Hindi and sing Bhojpuri, although not everyone can read and write Hindi. but the language is understood and spoken properly
@@mikel.p8859 Yes all Fiji Indian's do know that Indian's also live in Trinidad, Suriname, Caribbean, Uganda, South Africa, Mauritius,Malaysia etc... Because it has been taught in our Primary School for over 100yr now . Are you from Suriname ???
You can speak Sanskrit? Yoo thats cool
@@leechee5721 We don't talk in Sanskrit with each other but Yes we can understand and Read that very well coz the Holy Books , Hanuman Chalisa and others Hindu Scriptures are all in Sanskrit.

Do y'all by chance celebrate Durga Puja?
Fiji Hindi is basically Awadi {UP} and Bhojpuri {Bihar} mixed.
The majority of Indentured labourers taken were from UP and Bihar.
Minority Tamils and Kerlates {Kerla} were also taken.
Gujratis came as traders and Punjabis came as migrant farmers after the end of Indenture ship.
Because only Hindi was taught in Indian schools ,all could speak Shudh {classic} Hindi.
Because UPs and Biharis were in majority ,their language dominated others , all picked it. Because others could speak Classic Hindi. And Classic Hindi is closer to Bihari and Awadi.
Now with 6th generation Tamils, Gujrati's ,Punjabis all speak Fiji Hindi.
Quite a few Bengalis are in Fiji too with last names like Sen, Basu, Biswas, Das, Dutta (Dutt), Goswami, Pal, Roy etc
I am Indian Canadian, I had no idea about Fiji people before moving to Canada. I have 3 good friends from Fiji they helped me a lot and gave me book to understnd their India connection. All of them perfectly speak Hindi and do pujas with all rituals, can cook spicy foods though never went India.
I visited Fiji in July this year and totally felt touched on meeting my own community (north Indians) members so far from home
The difference between Fiji Indians and other Indians in the Caribbean, South Africa or Mauritius and Indians in India is that Indians overseas are taught history, culture, and language, etc about India whereas Indians in India are taught about “glorified Mughals & Colonialism” rather than the slavery of Indians and sending them to various corners of the world to work for colonialists!
Indians in India are “surprised” to even know about the diaspora across the world. Sad to see India not teaching its kids as to its proper history!
Also Indians in guyana and trinidad does not have caste system and don't care for English and whiteness
@@ravman1184mostly because they're were lower caste themselves and they probably speak Spanish so English is irrelevant
@KingshukMonsur man man we were of mostly upper caste , but quickly realized that to survive we needed each other, and no we don't speak Spanish . We don't even like English we rather indian languages.

That’s not true. We were taught about Indentured Labour history and Fiji in our school.
I remember when Roy Krishna played in the ISL for the first time. I thought he was Indian but turned out he's Fijian😅
Roy Krishna is Indian descent.
He is called Fijian because of the nationality (country where a person is born)
Indians are everywhere in gulf countries lots of Indian in qatar 26% are Indians
Don't count gulf countries, the have no rights there , are they citizens? 😂
Why Qatar then always spew venom against india
@@leechee5721bcoz most of them belong to one community.
But they will never be citizens of Qatar.

We learn sudh Hindi in our schools in Fiji some of the native Fijians r learning Hindi too n intermarriage happening becos of multicultural communities living together as one

No war no guns no rivalry. 😊😊😊
Guyana, trinidad, Surinam, South Africa , we are bhojpuri mainly

All Bhojpuri are Bihari.
@@Rahul_Singh100 my focus was not on that, we are very happy to be Bihari's, no issues at all.
The Surinamese/Dutch Hindustanis speak a mixture of Bhodjpuri and Awadhi.
Which language are you speaking? Hindi, English or Hinglish ?

I only learned "the truth" about Indian history as an undergraduate in Australia many years ago. India never let a good story about patriotism and false accusations get in the way of the truth. I am still awaiting confirmation on why the Bristish abandoned Singapore and Empire, years before Independence was granted.
Indians are the key to Peaceful Positive Performance.
Primarily Indian Hindus
@@fulldakait1408Hindi speaking Indians that's it !
For your information:
Fijibaat which is spoken in Fiji is different language from Hindi
Similar with Language of Awadhi spoken in Awadh region of India and Nepal and also in Baghelkhand region as Bagheli
It can be classified as dialect of awadhi, because it originated from Awadhi
It is spread by Girmitia's of Awadh in Fiji which is brought by Britishers
It is influenced by Western bhojpuri, Hindi, magahi and Fijian
Fijibaat is Mainly spoken in West North Fiji 😊
Awadhi is originated from Ardhmagadhi prakit
And Hindi is originated from Shursheni prakit
So it is different language
Nicely presented!!
Not Really . She's got so many facts wrong.
FORWARD TAMIL HINDU ! BE GREAT ! WE TWO OURS FOUR !
All the patriots of Hindi now know that there is a place for them to call home. All those people who have been asking me to move to Europe or other countries can actually move to Fiji and let the true Indians live peacefully. Although I feel bad for the Fijians as their life will be hell after they move.
Incredible content thanks madam
And they speak it very well. I was lucky to meet a Hindi speaking Fiji citizen recently and she speaks hindi better than me.

Southern Hemisphere.
Indentured labourer not indentured slaves .FYI...
Make a video on urban Indian Hindi like the one you're speaking. Seems quite fascinating that you start a sentence in one language and end it another.
Mauritius in the Indian Ocean has a similar history.

Bahut Julum in Fiji Hindi means fantastic.
Kaise chale means hows it's going.
There are more nepalies people they shifted same that time but they doesn't know nepalese language.
India should propose to start a Rugby programme with Fiji. Indian rugby will benefit and our players will learn many things about the sport.
We did similarly with Cuba in boxing. Now Indians are winning medals in boxing in every other occasion..be it Olympics, Asiad or Commonwealth games.
Really.?? I know Cubans are good Boxers.
Lots of countries needed workers so many people went there. It is still hapening today like usa and canada.
Not inddntured slaces...they were indentured laboureres ...under contracts....
Now please do video why Tamil is official language of Malayasia and Singapore.
This woman needs to speak in proper Hindi. She keeps adding English words to show her wisdom!!!
I wonder how many Indians who have emigrated from India to the United States, will in one or two generations on, speak any Indian language, considering also how quickly they have adopted the American accent.
She is so contradictory to herself.
Why Fiji people speak hindi?
They don't really speak hindi.

Mam ur volce is also good in eng and hindi
They weren't slaves. Indentured labourers are quite different from slaves. Conditions of work and stay were quite bad but they were still workers on a contract
Not “indentured slaves”. There were indentured laborers. Slavery was demolished.
0:09 Hindi is not an Official Language in Fiji. Not even the Natives {iTaukei} language is Official Language. Only English is .
0:28 Not as Indentured Slaves but as Indentured Labourers. Do your Research and get your Facts right B4 you make videos ....
2:32 Indians are there . around 50% . Why won't Curry and Roti be there ? Off Course Curry and Roti are there.
2:44 What you mean Which has become part of their Cuisine. ??? Indian Cuisine was always been part of Cuisine of Indians who came to Fiji.

All Indians must ponder on what is Indentured slaves? It means slaves basically kids or youths taken away by force from parents in return for debt payment. Such heinous crime. Result now lakhs of Indian origin people in many countries dont even know their ancestors. But Brits & Europeans hide this crime & untouchbility with Indian caste system(which did not kill anyone)!!

Tamil is official language in Malaysia, they have passport in Tamil, but not in india.
Malaysia has only 3 major Ethnic Groups. Malay, Chinese and Tamils. Thus it's possible for whatever reason.
It's impossible in India. Passports are not even in common Hindi Language. Only in English.
India is an English country in a linguistic sense. Like Fiji.

That's wrong bhai and you know it, everything you said is right but the second point, I'm from Fiji and will tell you straight up that you are partially right, fiji hindi is a mixture of northern languages such as bhojpuri, avadhi and other small influence languages like marwari from the rajasthanis and bundelkhandi from people of bundelkhand region etc, also has mix of languages from southern India such as tamil and telegu etc, but we also do have small amount of words derived from native fijian and English, such as items for kava, which in fiji hindi would be pronounced nagona or the coconut shell used for drinking nagona which is called bilo in hindi derived from bilo in fijian also a common fiji hindi term derived from fijian is tavale derived from fijian tabale meaning wife's brother and marama meaning wife, we also have loan words from English, as you said in a previous make sure you get your facts 100% right other wise you distort history, thank you
