If u want a fun experience you cant also shoot for the top of the rankings either sadly
Galaxy Mode made every character with unlockable custom moves so much more unique in my opinion. It made people who were in the game even as a minor character feel more included in their installment. BT3 having a big roster has many things to go with it like Survival, Missions, Story Mode. But Sparking Zero flopped so much and it's only been a month since it's released. RB2 even with a Online Ranking or not, had enough content to keep the players going without having any DLC to it. If anything, they should've continued this series since RB2 surpassed BT3 with their gameplay anyhow
As someone who played this game competitively back in the day, this game is wayyyy cheesier than Sparking Zero, the easy ki building with the parry super attacks that have no counter would drive people insane today. I won a whole tournament back in the day using SSJ future Gohan using his just his "interception" super attack. It took barely any ki to use and by the time they recovered I had enough ki back to do it again. At least the cheese in sparking zero has counter play.
Sparking Zero would have been better if it even had one more singleplayer mode, the game just needed more singleplayer content and it already would‘ve been a Perfect game for me.
It's hard to say. I never really got into raging blast myself because of how slow the movement speed felt in comparison to tenkaichi 3. Even with sparking zeros restricted form of dashing, it still feels faster than raging blast.
I will say this… meta cooler had a way better moveset in Raging blast 2 than sparking zero. I used to main him in the game because of counter super, rush super and everything. In sparking zero I have no interest in him because he’s so downgraded.
I understand that they wanted to bring it back to BT as much as possible, but there are plenty about RB2 that was better than BT imo. The moveset direction for most of the characters is the main thing. Base Cooler's ultimate was so much better here and way unique in comparison. Frieza's "You might die this time" is also the best iteration and closer to the anime because he pin balls the opponent. I feel like they should have taken more from RB2.
rb2 feels so sluggish and awkward like i feel like im moving through ten layers of wet sand just moving, the dragon dash really adds no speed to the movement, the only fast movements in the game from my experience was the homing dash, and the rapid rise thing you would get when you would fly up to the top of the map, close quarters movement was all sorts of slow and sluggish, even your side steps were almost usless, and melee combat felt more stiff then how sparking feels, not to say sparking feels great, i dont know where this unconditional love for rb2 comes from, i was to the understanding that the general consensus was that the game was good, had unique ideas but fails to execute them, and the singleplayer content was lacking, and that it didnt improve enough in the areas it needed to from rb1 to 2, making it more of a 1.75 then a 2
Interesting, i too thinking about it sometimes, but when I go to play I just enjoy it and I don't miss what made BT3 combat BT3 combat. I'm not going to tell you what the right way to approach a game is, but they follow a line that is just different. Professional gamers play like they can do anything without limits, I play like limits don't matter, I don't care about other people's expectations of a BT3 2.0, summing up the most factory and superficial criticisms without even having given the chance to see if what makes Rb different could also please. I've tried to learn more and I'm learning slowly, but I still recognize the variety of combos in this game and i I would like to play and see how online it is a unique metal game.
Most of the Dragon Ball games that were released annually did not have a sudden change in formula and when they did, it was because it had not been consolidated. We can see this in the Budokai and Bt franchise. Raging Blast 1 and 2 are really similar, but the more you get to know Raging Blast 2, the more changes you notice compared to the first one.
I find it strange that they continued with the ant switching mechanics in the same way and also the need to rotate the analog stick. Sometimes you just need to add an option to customize this. Good thing in Sparking zero, a lot of things are customizable
And About unconditional love, I think it's nostalgia, I don't think many people have delved into this game, otherwise its communities would be bigger Something I always wanted.
NO. objectively raging blast 2 is NOT better than sparking zero and it's not even close. I am a huge Tenkaichi raging blast fan but I feel like the problem is that people are saying raging blast 2 is better because they're looking back at simpler times in their life where they didn't have as many standards for games back in the day so it's easy to reminisce on times on those games whereas people feel a lot of disappointment for sparking zero so they can't really think clearly inform a legitimate opinion about what both games offer and I wish people would just admit that already but are two prideful to cuz nowadays they treat raging blast 2 like it's the second coming of Christ when it's just as much of a flawed game like sparking zero. People forget that raging blast 2 had a lot of criticisms when the game came out in the biggest factor was the fact that it had no story mode at all whatsoever. And while the customization yes is very good and better than sparking zero they still had less characters than any tenkaichi game like the fact that it took ultimate Tenkaichi to add two GT characters is crazy. We can talk about how it doesn't have enough to it, but sparking zero has a whole fanfic creator mode which is creative in itself as raging blast there is nothing really creative in its content with the tenkaichi games there was always creative modes in each iteration and sparking zero does continue that well even though it could have more content from the older BT games. It wasn't until years later where people are now switching up on RB2 because of the fighting system. And that's another thing, people talk about SZ’s fighting system is so incredibly clunky but never think about how the The sidestep system is terrible in raging blast 2 if you're not familiar with cancels which is what carries the game a whole lot. With sparking zero you don't have to have cancels to do a lot of responsive movement techniques and that's why Tenkaichi was good at because it had a pickup and play mindset but a hard to master skill gap. I'm just saying nobody is really objectively comparing the games they just want to look at it from a nostalgia standpoint from their disappointment of sparking zero
@mishonbreland4458 When people critique new games, you guys like to automatically say "nostalgia!!". So, should I automatically think theres nothing in your argument but recency bias? 🤷♂️
No if we're speaking offline hell no the difficulty in this game is too easy compared to sparking zero custom battles I can make the game Elgin ring level I have no reason to play raging Blast 2 at all
Bro if ur playing raging blast right now that means sparking zero is terrible. Funny enough ive been seeing lots of youtubers play old dbz games recently over sz. U probably should get a refund.
I like some character models in rb2 better than sparking zero. Such as ssj goku or bardock. I like the soundtract and the more variety of maps present in rb2. Even the super attack customization and costumes were better in rb2.But other than that, I think sparking zero is better in every other way.
No way. Sparking Zero is where it’s at and the fights against the A.I are actually tough. Probably the toughest Dragonball game I can ever remember playing. Yes, sometimes SPARKING mode allows you to cheese your way through some fights, but other than that, it feels like an actual challenge.
The fact that most characters have a playthrough while Sparking has EIGHT characters only with minimal effort like Vegeta not going all the way to the Tournament of Power. And Sparking just lets you buy characters in the shop while RB2 made you grind for the characters which was so damn fun and frustrating in a good way. Yeah absolutely RAGING BLAST 2 is better.
Yes I believe raging blast 2 is the better game this was the most played game i had on the ps3 slim i mean i had hours on this game all the customization I even had the aura changed for certain characters
@@davidt2834 Given that it didn't stem for other characters, destruction wise made sense. Whether I wanna blow up areas in the stage or not, play with characters that can't fly, or giants too big to stun or not, RB2 was balanced and more competitive. If they continued the RB2 series with it crossing over to GT or even Super, or even to what BT3 had for it's roster, it could've been goated. And this game didn't even have DLC implanted
@@davidt2834 Slow doesn't make a competitive game bad. It probably felt slow given how you or other people you see play, but if anything, I don't want my fights to be so quick that I can't even time what's thrown at me. Online works better for RB2 than SZ cause of the delay itself is more rewarding for RB2 than SZ given input to not only dodge certain attacks, but to counter moves thrown at you. Versus SZ where you can have a great experience offline like the BT3 was meant for, or have a not so great experience online where you face delay. Not only that, there's not even a reward playing people there cause you're seeing everybody go through a cycle of giants, fusions, Broly, Jiren and MUI Goku. Over a hundred of characters and you have people going with a pattern of OP characters. The difference being so big in them, they had to nerf minor characters that people should be able to handle. Where as playing Raging Blast 2, everybody is on equal footing with a balanced system. Nothing too broken that couldn't be countered
@@davidt2834 Even if there's no delay attacks, the high leveled gameplay consists of dodging, vanish counters, and swaying back to back from good fights. But overall with broken builds of characters, requires you to time vanishing. And with delays in matches, it's damn near impossible as is. That's not even discussing the main issue with online, having to he considerate enough to not have a ragequit
How? RB2 has no story mode. One game mode, less characters and has a fighting system that's just as buggy y'all are just saying that cause of nostalgia
@TheAnimatedGamer When I play Raging Blast 2, I never get a feeling of fatigue like I do with Sparking Zero; same thing with BT2. It's a little bit on the clunky side, sure, but at least it isn't as annoying to play overall. No escaping mid-combo for free because you mashed Up + X, no waiting 20 seconds to finish vanishing and play the game again, little to no unblockable supers. I find Sparking Zero's local multiplayer to be fun for a while, but it gets monotonous real quick and I never had that probably with Raging Blast 2 or BT2. It's less polished than Sparking Zero, but I enjoy it a bit more. You'd think people would want to play a game they've waited their whole lives for more if it was objectively better than what came before, but it's not and the player drop off is proof of this
@jonathanhargraves2241 RB2 had similar problems of tbose too. I agree the super counter is harder to time but you could use it for free and vanish wars were arguably longer cause of the cenimatic camera angles not to mention the incredibly clunky sidestep system. I can understand the comparison of BT2/3 but half of the problems with SZ can be applied to RB but nobody cares cause there were no standards for the game
Personally bt3 and raging Blast 2 do not compare to offline sparking zero being able to create your own stories your own custom battles and level the difficulty so much higher than you could then in the basic vanilla games I think you guys are in nostalgia and I love these games but we need to stop acting like these games were so good when they were too easy and got boring so fast when you custom battles I've been making levels that I cannot beat that are taken hours away from me so fast that before I know it the day is gone ( when I don't have adult stuff to do)
Sparking zero versus raging Blast 2 and bt3 vanilla offline completely kills those games now we're talking online then it's debatable Simply custom battles allows me to create my own story Even with its limited options being able to basically create your own story mode is not going to get old for me anytime soon Even with how limited it all is What isnt limited is how difficult you can make these battles I've been making levels that have taken people 4 hours to complete I've been making levels that have been destroying people's entire souls to me that's what I call fun at least especially when you can Force transformations force scenes to happen Force beam struggles to happen you guys are still a delusional and in nostalgia if you think these games are better im sorry ( Again not talking about online do not care about the story go play kakarot)
I think I prefer sparking zero over raging blast 2. Back in the days I got to borrow raging blast 1 from my neighbor and I fucking loved it. It had cool story imagery, bonus objectives and I was just generally thrilled over playing a higher poly BT3. And caving in the stage when I drive my opponent into the ground was so glorious! One day I saw raging blast 2 in my local toys store for €30 and I bought it. Was kinda dissapointed over 'no story mode' and the texturing was kinda off (seems like everyone had a coat of oil in RB2). But atleast it allowed me to do tournament mode without a P2. I prefer SZ over RB2 already, because it has a story mode. Not to mention the custom story and art style. Sz multiplayer is admittedly pretty mono tone with a majority of my match ups being SSJ4 G, MUI, Full Power/LSSJ Broly or super vegito. It may be just me, but I do like it when I basically expose them with android 18 (because I am in their face constantly). But my satisfaction is dampered when they disconnected and I can wait another 5 min to match up. TLDR: RB2 < SZ & RB1 , according to my enjoyment
IMO nothing will top Tenkaichi in terms of content, that game had so much going for it, not even BT3 came close. The only thing people say about BT3 being better is because of the amount of characters it had, while most being just a copy of each other with the same moves. RB2 was fun, but also lacked a few good aspects of RB1. Combat wise was defo the best one.
People in comments. But😢 i just paid for it. Sparking 0 is better. Dont waste my money and my hopes man. Thats disrespectful. Me: rb2 wont force 2 players off the ground while beam clashing. You can dodge without sonic sway. Dodge ultimates, and get out of combo. Yes it is advance more than bt3. The reason why the development stopped because lack of money! Fans dont wanna pay for dlc
Yeah but besides Story Mode which is too fast and plays what if's too much, all there is for Sparking Zero is just Custom Battle. There's not even a arcade or survival mode. And that's technically a 2 in 1 situation in one of the modes Raging Blast 2 has. Sparking Zero looks better, shows better gameplay, but even that shit is being ruined. Not even by the game itself, it's being ruined by the people who play rank for it it. Even Team Ultimates were optional given the conditions met in the game, vs it being the Ultimate of a character built in. This in my opinion shut the doors down for some characters like Basil and Lavender. Even took away a few potential giant characters like Ribrianne and Bergamo
….YES…it is, I haven’t played sparking zero but I played TF out of this game as a kid, more then BT3, you already knew you were in for a banger of a game when the opening features SSJ2 Gohan.
Look more fun than sparkling zero which is sad that you going back to play an older game when we just had one release like a month or two ago I just goes to show how bad that game is the online really
Katisaki is great channel with pro player match. Playing against other people must be really cool and this game gets even better when you learn each character and mechanics. Simple mechanic: use a Ki Blast (triangle or Y) and when it is about to hit the opponent, use punch (Square or X) and then teleport (X from Playstation or A) and so you will teleport close to the enemy regardless of where you are. (Triangle ->.... square -> x) Or (Y->... X -> A) th-cam.com/users/clipUgkxbnn0EBHt-A-7UIV_V3ul8guKxPTL8kBs?si=5GCIjjTOZ_de5jKV There are defensive mechanics and others that help with combos, watching videos from Grand master hawk, chaospunishment or forums you can learn more.
Combos are better designed than in BT which uses more movement because asignatures skill and others mechanics like combo cancel and defensives That I'm too much of a noob to be able to explain it to you

Rule #1 of metal cooler in dragon ball games: his ai has to be inhumanely cracked for no damn reason
NO. objectively raging blast 2 is NOT better than sparking zero and it's not even close.
You're long paragraph is invalid lol sparking zero is hot garbage only to appeal to gen alpha gamers
@@Ahkeem00take the roae tented glasses off next time. RB2 is just as bad
@@mishonbreland4458 bruh your sentence is crazy unreadable
@@Mrbookworm-k4v RB2 Is no better in the same ways as Sparking Zero. Better?
@mishonbreland4458 When people critique new games, you guys like to automatically say "nostalgia!!". So, should I automatically think theres nothing in your argument but recency bias? 🤷♂️
The answer is YES.
I like sparking zero but that game is waaayyyyy to cheesy online I might just stick to custom battles
And this game is to slow and plays so diffrent than the sparking series thats why it dkesnt have the sparking name. Plus its ugly
No if we're speaking offline hell no the difficulty in this game is too easy compared to sparking zero custom battles I can make the game Elgin ring level I have no reason to play raging Blast 2 at all
I been saying this for months and people are already saying this...
Sparking zero fasho is harder, i be running throught the galaxy mode on raging blast 2 @entertheomniverse727
0:48 I never realised trunks holds his shoulder just like vegeta, this game really was ahead of its time lol
I used to religiously play RB1 and 2 back in the day. Man, I do NOT remember it looking this slow.
if u here u already know the answer tbh 😭
Damn. Where was this love back when it was poppin
Bro if ur playing raging blast right now that means sparking zero is terrible. Funny enough ive been seeing lots of youtubers play old dbz games recently over sz. U probably should get a refund.
I like to play some online games with you if you down for some content would you be interested
Sparking should include this mode
nah not from what i remember but def a bop of a video game and i miss the lil loading screen games word
I like some character models in rb2 better than sparking zero. Such as ssj goku or bardock. I like the soundtract and the more variety of maps present in rb2. Even the super attack customization and costumes were better in rb2.But other than that, I think sparking zero is better in every other way.
I wish sparking 0 used bt2 music like raging blast
The yugioh rant came up as i was getting my ass handed to me in Master duel
masterpiece
Better OST, better gameplay, and a solid roster
YES.
Yes I believe raging blast 2 is the better game this was the most played game i had on the ps3 slim i mean i had hours on this game all the customization
I even had the aura changed for certain characters
And that's all RB2 had was customization. Everything else was lesser content than BT and SZ
@mishonbreland4458 well no there's more but sparking zero is perfect really I have more found memorys with rb2
@@jujubrow.9876 so at that point it's just nostalgia

RB2 is better than SZ, but you know what else is better? RB1, in my opinion it's best Budokai Tenkaichi game out of all of them
Hell nah, the characters, the destruction, the scenarios and the speed of the combat are disappointing.
@@Hungrybox17But he didn't have it lol competitive ≠ good, The fights are very slow
Unfortunately yes, I wish a game with 17 years to develop would be leagues better than anything before but it isn't somehow.
You'd think people would want to play a game they've waited their whole lives for more if it was objectively better than what came before, but it's not and the player drop off is proof of this
@@jonathanhargraves2241player drop is proof? Are you stupid?
@jonathanhargraves2241 RB2 had similar problems of tbose too. I agree the super counter is harder to time but you could use it for free and vanish wars were arguably longer cause of the cenimatic camera angles not to mention the incredibly clunky sidestep system.
I can understand the comparison of BT2/3 but half of the problems with SZ can be applied to RB but nobody cares cause there were no standards for the game
Personally bt3 and raging Blast 2 do not compare to offline sparking zero being able to create your own stories your own custom battles and level the difficulty so much higher than you could then in the basic vanilla games I think you guys are in nostalgia and I love these games but we need to stop acting like these games were so good when they were too easy and got boring so fast when you custom battles I've been making levels that I cannot beat that are taken hours away from me so fast that before I know it the day is gone ( when I don't have adult stuff to do)
3x better.
The only disappointing thing about this game is they did not include GT or Dragonball. Everything else, straight up 🔥!
It has better gameplay but lacks in content
Sparking zero versus raging Blast 2 and bt3 vanilla offline completely kills those games now we're talking online then it's debatable
Simply custom battles allows me to create my own story
Even with its limited options being able to basically create your own story mode is not going to get old for me anytime soon
Even with how limited it all is
What isnt limited is how difficult you can make these battles I've been making levels that have taken people 4 hours to complete
I've been making levels that have been destroying people's entire souls to me that's what I call fun at least especially when you can Force transformations force scenes to happen Force beam struggles to happen you guys are still a delusional and in nostalgia if you think these games are better im sorry
( Again not talking about online do not care about the story go play kakarot)
Tell me how the online in this game (rpcs3) is better than sparkings…
Not at all, The Galaxy Mode is literally such a bad Story Mode Replacement and the gameplay has always felt slower and clunkier.
Bro you know the story already that’s the only reason I’m not grabbing sparking zero
Ender my guy!
What’s good Mac how ya been
IMO nothing will top Tenkaichi in terms of content, that game had so much going for it, not even BT3 came close.
Torn on this tbh. RB2 made a lot of better decisions.
Raging Blast 2 has better character models than Sparking Zero and Raging Blast 2 is overall better :D
DEFINITELY BETTER
Yes bro I’m playing sparkling zero and I still thinking about raging blast control is was the best
Nahhh blinded ny nostalgia
Just watch pros play RB2 vs how pros play SZ, the difference is clear as day, battles are a lot more enjoyable in RB2 with refined combat
No. Sparking zero has its flaws but it’s still better than Rb2 there was actually nothing to do
Yeah but besides Story Mode which is too fast and plays what if's too much, all there is for Sparking Zero is just Custom Battle. Even took away a few potential giant characters like Ribrianne and Bergamo
the cpu vs cpu fights are definitely better in raging blast two also i feel the maps are wayyyyy too big in sparking zero
In my opinion i think rb2 is better than sz
Said who??
….YES…it is, I haven’t played sparking zero but I played TF out of this game as a kid, more then BT3, you already knew you were in for a banger of a game when the opening features SSJ2 Gohan.
Yes.
No people saying is nostalgia blind
You’re delusional if you think raging blast is better but it’s definitely underrated

(Triangle ->.... square -> x)
Or (Y->... X -> A)

There are defensive mechanics and others that help with combos, watching videos from Grand master hawk, chaospunishment or forums you can learn more.
Raging blast 2 is where people with skill issues play
Combos are better designed than in BT which uses more movement because asignatures skill and others mechanics like combo cancel and defensives That I'm too much of a noob to be able to explain it to you
It’s more like the opposite. Raging Blast 2 has better combos and you need more skill to master it than BT3.
