I’ve been said and felt this game was not ready but it seemed like the db community was rushing the devs, I believe this game should’ve still been in development for at least a few more months or even a year cause it seems like they weren’t done with a lot of things whether it been the roster etc. but they are asking for feedback to help make it better but we’ll see also nice vid my guy💯

Blue Gogeta’s bang becomes a shark fin at the beginning of his ultimate or the fact UI Goku’s eyes bug out in his rush attack that are still in the game. I dont think they couldve delayed it more. As far as I know (Could be wrong) , Bandai is obligated to release a Dragon Ball game every 2 years. Breakers came out in 2022 which means SZ had to come out this year.

Honestly this game should have been a Christmas or just a new year release. It REALLY needed more time in development

My thoughts... It's definitely got some flaws (easily fixable in one patch IMO) , I definitely don't think it deserves to die or that it's dying because of some flaws. I think some people are frustrated with the staff right now and it's preventing them getting the best xp of the game.
What frustrates me the most is a lot of this stuff could be fixed, it just feels like they put out an undercooked game so they could do patches and DLC for as long as Xenoverse.
@xXSonTJXx personally I enjoy every game in the series I like sparking zero more than any game in the series simply because I can change the difficulty of AI to Elden ring difficulty and the vanilla games just don't offer the same challenges except for the Mods. but even in the mods the patterns get really easy to follow because I can make a situation literally impossible to beat I can kind of have a never-ending anime episode in my head I still love sparking zero I believe it does have a lot of flaws but I also think that people are overlooking the flaws in the other games and giving this game a lot of flack that I don't think it deserves but at the same time because of xenoverse 2 I have a lot of faith that this game will be the greatest 3D arena game ever because xenoverse 2 day one was similar in having a lot of problems but they did fix a lot of things from day one compared to now even though there is other problems in xv2 but no game is perfect so hopefully you see my point
@@LordSiah Every game in this series except S0 was in the dark age of technology. For their time they were damn near perfect, complaining now is just stupid imo. The Tenkaichi games had more features than 99% of fighters or arena fighters at the time besides soul Calibur maybe
@@LordSiah My guy those are very old games from the ps2 era. And Budokai Tenkaichi 3 no matter the rose tinted bullshit is still objectively good and playable. They tried to add every battle that existed from movies to GT.
It really boggles the mind how many things from the Raging Blast games they just didn't bring over to Sparking Zero even though it was pratically BT4 and BT5. 😭
At this point i feel like they should've delayed the game more so that the devs have the time to craft the games identity because its missing alot. Like after i platinumed on ps5 , i completely put down my controller and haven't done anything else. The only that bringing me back to it is that that graphics are very good but other than that..........man. Im just saying how i feel i Still like it but man the previous games have so much that Zero should've taken and bt2 storymode is way more interesting than this.
We don't need to go through the story for the Nth time, especially when we just got out of Kakarot. The slideshow idea fits for how the story is presented: Whis is giving a summarized rundown of the events of the major players

That’s what I cared about in story mode. because definitely we don’t have to see the story we seen hundreds of times. But if you’re not gonna give us more what if stories and not just slideshow there. You gotta do something good for us to fall back on which is the og story. So that should look good.
Even Dragon Ball TH-camrs before the game came out said the same thing where they gonna be on this game 24/7 making content on it and having videos and celebs with friends and such and now most of them are and now they just barley even touching it for a good reason
I was always a huge defender of balancing before the game came out and how the Tenkaichi games were actually more balanced than people thought. I always got hate for saying that and now look what's one of the biggest issues in the game, lack of proper balancing, I really don't understand why they took away stuff like ki sickness
Just saw the new patch and I can say I am happy about these new changes, but the only thing I'm waiting on is some type of change with the rampant rage quits. I had over 20 rage quits on both ranked and regular play in one session. The rage quits is what turn me off completely from the game because if you find a way to counter someone who cheeses you, they can just leave the game with no punishment and that infuriates me.
The thing that tilts me the most is how much criticism like this that's expressed in good faith is responded to as a "Skill issue" no matter what rank you're in AND that you're "Nostalgia blind" for pointing out how current issues were solved 17 years ago. I've been told that sparking zero has a harder cpu than Bt3 and better mechanics. Has got to be some of the biggest cap i've ever heard. Customization sucks, no custom movesets, custom colors for outfits, revenge counters and super perception sucks, no ki and skill sickness, perception spam, Custom battle is so damn tedious and clunky that I don't even want to sink the time into making which I wanted to. There are several issues that people need to accept.
It's just a shame that the version of Sparking 0 we will have in 12-18 months from now is so vastly different than the one we got at launch. Just another case of modern gaming IG...
The game is perfect for someone like me who works a lot and just plays it on my downtime with me bro… I can respect why ppl think the game isn’t as good anymore but for me I’m still having a blast.. especially since I’m slowly getting better

I popped off in that survey for the game lots of frustrating and unfun stuff that they can fix pretty easily, I hope they can understand all criticisms.This game definitely rushed for the release date you can see in trailers custom skills for characters but mysteriously not in the game or unused outfits.
I totally agree bro and whenever you give valid criticisms for this game people genuinely hate it cuz they grew with the originals and have such fond memories of them but this game definitely felt undercooked weak cutscenes weak campaign weird online waiting system no cross play and ranked feels unfulfilling and when you criticize the game people say stuff like “oh your playing the game wrong” or “it’s supposed to be a party game” imo it’s just cope the game is definitely one of those games I won’t hesitate to delete to make space for a different game I’m excited about it’s kinda like how Spider-Man 2 was after the honeymoon phase.
I agree with you 95%. Especially not giving us SSJ Rage Trunks properly. But a wierd combination of SSJ/2 & Rage into 1. Only thing I disagree about is SSJ Rose Gohan Black. That makes no sense. Ultimate Rose which we got makes so much more sense because it's what Gohan has instead of SSJ Blue. So it's Ultimate + Zamasu's God Ki.
Makes me wonder how Tenkaichi 3 would be if Online mode was more prevalent as opposed to just with mods or on the Wii But nah the fact that SSJ Rage Trunks is on the cover but not in the game and Frieza Soldiers over Super 17 is diabolical 💀
Here are some small things I've noticed from watching videos of this game: no alternate colors for mirror matches, no "Are you ready? Fight!" after characters finish talking to each other, it just cuts into combat which is kinda awkward, kid Trunks having a rush attack thats outdated, recovery time is insanely fast, like what's the point of knocking someone back if they can recover in that same second, Super Spirit Bomb Goku doesn't have the iconic thumbs up win pose after finishing the opponent off with the move, and Vegeta practically looks the same facial wise throughout every form maybe excluding SSG, but isn't he supposed to be his oldest in GT? Like why do he look so young in SS4? Goku also has that same problem in SS4.
The game is lacking in content,custom movesets game modes and battle mechanics. This game clearly feels rushed the cut scenes are terrible and lots of content was cut. Even things that were found out to have been completed were cut. About the graphics I still think Raging Blast 1 is the best looking DB game. It looks like the show in pristine hd graphics. It really just needs 60fps and 4k then it'll look perfect.
The game not dead but it definitely has it flaws, the game still fun to me 🤷🏾♂️ your parts on the story mode is valid especially for the what ifs for vegeta, he’s not my favorite character but they did him so dirty for his story mode.
Tbh at this point in the gaming meta that’s just the way players play , I switch it up by playing tournaments modes or joust joining cool streamers if you really want to have fun with this game , when your fighting just to have fun
Honestly characters missing forms n story mode being lackluster is least of my worries (Not saying no one should complain, I agree that is an L on Bandai). Only things that piss me off and wish they improved so the game could step out of the “dying phase” is add more stages (Still wild there’s no Kami house, outside Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Beerus Planet, Movie stages, etc), more costumes so we could get less mirror matches, improved custom battles (Haven’t played custom battle since I platinum Sparking 0 and that cuz the objectives felt the same. I get Sparking Zero is a party fighting game but I wish there were unique objectives instead of just wipe off the cpus health), get rid of super counters or at least give a punishment for those that kept using it a lot so that folks can actually do combos, more what ifs (Especially when more dlc comes out), add skip intros cuz I’m tired of going to rank n seeing the same ass intros of UI, fusions, Jiren, whatever, and seriously praying they fix causal matches where we can just wait for the opponent like in rank match instead of the bs lobby matches. If they done that, Sparking Zero would be at a better state than it is
7:13 I don't know what's the thought behind making a lot of the scenes in the story mode with motion capture cause it just doesn't fit in an anime style they could have just animated just like any other character with their ultimate and such, every time I see this motion capture it gives me Jump force PTSD and we all know how that game ended up and I hope it would not be the case for sparking zero

@@ShogunnxYT Yeah and I like how when there was some model or shading mistake and the fans point them out and then days later the devs fix them and the people think they are listening to the fans when in reality they already updated the model with or without their feedback and second that's not how development work they don't fix things overnight it takes weeks maybe months to do so
honestly i dont get the whole "play rank" thing, rank is not fun in the game (stoped at A5 duo and single), i've had a BLAST playing tourny's on the game or even just player match/king of the hill. i just find it very baffling why people keep playing rank on sparking zero when people just cheese or rage quit, just play online tourny or players match in general. It is much more of a fun time imo. and people borderline play everyone too.
One thing you've been bringing up is the intro cutscene you can actually watch it if you go to gallery then theater and press r1/rb and there it is, kinda dumb it doesn't play when you boot up the game but I mostly agree with what you say in this but I still find the game fun to mess around in rather than be completely serious like how some people want to climb the ranks, I honestly just like to play casually against other players
It needs the features that made bt3 have depth and have a essence to it…where’s the body disintegration and movement mechanics and fighting styles outside of a couple characters I mean ssj2 gohan literally lost his entire sauce of being a fighter and now is wimpy and doesn’t have his spinning style anymore

It's not the characters or out of bounds that I cared about, literally the fighting system on new consoles was all I needed, it basically kinda delivered. And that's why other dragon ball games never compared to tenkaichi for me, years after and years to come. Ig except fighterz

Soon as I saw movie characters in a "shop" I said oh no. Story was ass. Where the stages? Cant even do movie broly with no ice cap stage. Where is basic characters that should be outside of DLC? Super 17 etc. Tenkaichi 3 was better the fighting. The knock around moves. Should have just remastered 3 and added to the roster. Also heard lost of courage in the background and shook my head. Better times.
I really do enjoy the game but I wish they added more story mode missions with a lot of what-ifs scenarios. Other than that, the online play feels good, but people just…..don’t wanna have fun anymore 😅
I agree with most to all points. I had the same expectation when before the game came out. remember how I was talking about how I was even debating on getting the deluxe edition because I knew I was gonna play it for a week then randomly every 2-3 weeks whenever you wanted to play with me. Sadness because the game is decent it just feels so ehh once you get out of honeymoon phase.

They definitely had to skip a lot of things and focused on only trying to fit the 182 characters, It's just the fact that the character select menu was left as it is since the alpha build says everything you need to know, a lot of game modes are missing, and a lot of maps are, especially since they focused heavily on map destruction on the port to only end up with 1 map that you can destroy and 1 which becomes on a larger scale to move around
easy fixes that bandi historically takes forever to fix theres nothing to do after a week of playing it theirs to many ways to counter stuff the story is lazy as hell the customization is useless and was an after thought the custom battles are boring ranked is horrible coming from an s player the game was rushed and as good as the game looks it means nothing when theres no reason to play it tournaments died instantly theres no reason to play online with any other characters but the meta ones because youll lose the ai doesnt do shit but vanish and counter tbh games dead if they dont fix anything which probably wont be until the dlc drops and itll be dead by then once again coming from someone with almost 100 hrs because i wanted everything out of the game i could get and pre ordered the most expensive version of the game im off the game until they add and fix the game

I think the story mode could've still been so much better, especially since this is the first time Super has been adapted in any way in a modern Dragon Ball game. It's one thing to skimp on the Z stuff, but the Super stuff has literally never been adapted in any of the games besides Kakarot with the Battle of Gods and Resurrection F arc, but those were more so based on the movies than the show. I really like this game, but I'll admit that they kinda cut some corners with the story mode.
There is a lot this game can have fixed with patches and dlc. New characters, story missions, outfits, etc. can help some of the diversity problem and just give more content to the game. But some of the quality of life things people are complaining about can’t really be fixed. The poor voice acting and sound editing aren’t going to be overhauled in a patch, that’s going to require a sequel to fix. To me the biggest problem is the choices they made in the sound department that hurt the game’s experience.
Im a little late but i love the game soul reason cause its somewhat similar to BT but its not in alot of ways no button smashing super attacks are delayed sometimes when im doing a rush attack then hold square it just doesnt work and end up getting whooped and im not a huge fan of the character models. Raging blast 2 did character models perfect and i know its manga accurate but id prefer buff ssj3 and ki gets used up TOO FAST ill throw 2-3 ki blast then have to charge up to throw a super attack and rush attacks dont raise ki much at all i can keep going but ill be here awhile
its fun and all but ngl the average broly spam, every 2 oppoent ui goku / gogetassj4, some bugs + cheese makes me wanna leave. of course you can counter most of all cheese but for me at least i have too lock in and play very different. and this every 2 match is annyoing. im so relied if i met a character below 8dp. they should bracket the solo ranked with 1-4dp 5-8 8-10 or something. but more than character dlcs we will not get i guess.
I agree with a lot of the criticisms you've made. Many of which I also had when the game came out. I would give it a 7/10 overall. Its so funny people were so hung up about IGN giving it a 7 simply because it was the same rating the gave Concord. Different reviewers doing for each of their reviews aside. People just disagree with Condord being a 7. But hardly anyone arguing that Sparking Zero should be higher than a 7. Like why give af about the ratings? It should be about the content and reasonings. Many of the criticisms they gave were valid anyway. I know attention spans are cooked nowadays but still.
Raging blast 2 had the best game dbz game play and but lets wait and see what sparking becomes in the future xenoverse was dry at first but became greater over the years but i agree with most of what your saying
I've been saying this for a long time I said this game s ucks all that online dribble when the single player component sucks it's lame The fact that xenoverse kakarot fighter Z all of the recent Dragon Ball Z games up until now was able to do better cutscenes and better stuff than sparking zero and the fact that at this point we might as well just played the fan-made Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4
I wish would could skip the fight intros. Some of them take so long. I’ve also had an issue where I transform and I froze and lost control of my character for a couple of seconds afterwards which threw off the flow when I’m fighting. Another issue is unranked matches specifically quick match. Why do I have to wait in a lobby? Quick match means put me right into a fight. Ranked matches put me into a fight why not unranked? Last issue, why do we only get best 2 out of 3 matches where I can’t rematch them after the 3rd match? Let people rematch all they want. On the story mode slideshow yeah there’s like zero animations during the story and using automatic lip-synching. But I’m guessing all the money went into the gameplay.
The only flaw is rage quits im so sick of every content creator covering every game complaining.. cheaters are the problem. Not the mechanics rage quitters and zen/titan users are destroying gaming period
I AM starting to miss Xenoverse 2….. and that’s saying something Sparking Zero is great and definitely a fun pass time with friends, but there’s just something about it that’s not capturing us. Nothing that catches us in mind body and soul. I think the main problem is it feels uneventful. Empty. Meaningless

It also shouldn’t be a problem that there are slideshows if you just look forward to actually playing the game and not watch cutscenes like it’s an anime. I really don’t wanna be that guy, but you should be hype for the next kakarot or any other single player game if you’re this bothered by the cutscenes. People get over hyped, play the game to no end, then get burned out. Playing a game to no end and platinuming it so soon after release will burn you out, especially if you're plaing ranked. Stop. Overhyping. Yourselves. Sparking Zero is probably my favorite dragon ball game(Tied with fighterz), but I never came into it with the expectation that it would be perfect. Also, once again, if you're playing this game for ranked, I dont think you'll have a fun time. I can play this game for 5 hours in a row against my friends, but online I get annoyed match 1. No hate, but this came off as very nit-picky, complaining about personal preferences as if they're indicative of the entire player base, especially towards mid-way through. For your enjoyment and mental health, I HIGHLY advise you stop playing ranked in a game it was NOT made for.

I have a couple friends that quit because of ranked and random matches killing their enjoyment. The mental health thing was purely from concern. You dont seem like someone who tweaks out at a game, but little frustrations over time(especially if you're a regular streamer) will add up and potentially kill your enjoyment if you're performing for an audience in ranked for a game that was not made for the competitive scene.

You can't run from that, even if you play with friends online only which you can do with any game that has problems. Tekken 8 rank pisses me off than any other game, still love it way more than Sparking Zero and play it more often.

Why ss4 gogeta is like the top strongest 3 but not most super characters like what are the devs going off on? Because if we're going off feats they failed on that part. Absolutely wasted space by adding certain characters. Ribrianne, Frieza Soldier, and Mr.Satan etc slots could've been used for characters like Super 17 or Rage form Future Trunks.. but no everyone wants to play Pui Pui
My biggest gripe about the game is that there is no game chat. I want to be able to talk shit to my opponents or maybe if we’re having a good match and both having fun we can beam clash and both scream at the top of our lungs like we’re actually dbz characters. If only we could still live in a time where people just enjoyed stuff and didn’t let the flaws bother them so damn much where they say shit for clout and ragebait , like the game is fun , i understand you can still have fun with anything while pointing out the flaws but people really seem to let the flaws of something get the best of them and make them not either like it as much as they thought they would or it will make them just not like it at all , like there’s games I don’t necessarily like that much anymore like madden but I still enjoy it to some extent I still play it yea there’s a lot that has gone downhill with EA and the madden games for years but I still hop on and play it , now let’s get back to sparking zero , the game is fun bro if you don’t think about the flaws and just play its fun , like i think it’s dumb how almost everytime you do a special move against someone the character just flies past the opponent but I don’t let that bug me too much , ima still play and have fun with the game until they make another sparking game 👍

Does it need changes? Absolutely. You should get a win if your opponent disconnects. Do I wish there was a lot more content? Yes. Do I want the combat system to be refined? Yeah. But, I like not getting carpal tunnel doing infinite combos until my opponent runs out of ki. It's way more engaging than Xenoverse 2 on the offense and the defense.
It's the flaw of anime games honestly... the Japanese can make some absolutely banger shows and movies but the moment they try to make a game, it becomes another garbage arena fighter that people will forget about in a month
Tenkaichi 3 didn't have a very comprehensive story either, and I hardly *ever* see that mentioned as a flaw of that game. Hell, I can think of three iconic fights right off hand that aren't shown in any way whatsoever: 1. Ultimate Gohan vs Super Buu. 2. Gotenks vs ANY form of Buu 3. SS3 Goku vs Fat Buu And that's from one saga. Tenkaichi 2 had a *lot* more going on as far as the story was concerned (it even had full battle cutscenes for a couple fights). That said, I can absolutely see why they went this route with Tenkaichi 3. We had just gotten through playing just about every single fight that ever happened in Z, and doing that twice in a row was gonna be a tall ask. I imagine it was exactly the same case with Sparking Zero but arguably even more so. Kakarot has so much story that, last I checked, all of the main cutscenes together are something like 11 hours long. Doing something similar here with *even more* story would be insane (not to mention, it would make Kakarot completely redundant, which would be pretty shitty for the folks who own that game and paid for all the DLC).
Bt3 story is not as complete as bt2 yes but SZ is like way worse lol. AT LEAST Bt3 kept you entertained mid battle since they took advantage of the presentation. Sparking Zero did not. It's the same problem with bt3 but like way worse cmon now
@@EngageTV the mechanics are not polished enough for good pvp. once you get to higher ranks the gameplay loop becomes so incredibly boring because everyone can super counter out of most combos, so theres no incentive to get creative with combo play. super counters lead to 30 second vanish battles which are boring as hell. cheese tactics get rewarded because of unbalanced mechanics like no ki sickness and no drawbacks on very broken moves. and its not a skill issue. i have 85% win rate online bc ive played a lot of bt in the past. but the game just doesn't have a very polished combat system

This along with SSBE is what pissed many off. At least SSBE got a permanent buff that allows you to stay in that state once you activate it, but Trunks' SSJ2 and Rage? This made no sense. They decided to give him a similar yet worst mechanic to that of Vegeta's SSBE skill. Kale doesn't have SSJ2 or Caulifla doesn't have her SSJ. This game is not it. It needed another year or two for everything to be up to par.
I’ve been said and felt this game was not ready but it seemed like the db community was rushing the devs, I believe this game should’ve still been in development for at least a few more months or even a year cause it seems like they weren’t done with a lot of things whether it been the roster etc. but they are asking for feedback to help make it better but we’ll see also nice vid my guy💯

I dont think they couldve delayed it more. As far as I know (Could be wrong) , Bandai is obligated to release a Dragon Ball game every 2 years. Breakers came out in 2022 which means SZ had to come out this year.

My thoughts... It's definitely got some flaws (easily fixable in one patch IMO) , I definitely don't think it deserves to die or that it's dying because of some flaws. I think some people are frustrated with the staff right now and it's preventing them getting the best xp of the game.

@xXSonTJXx personally I enjoy every game in the series I like sparking zero more than any game in the series simply because I can change the difficulty of AI to Elden ring difficulty and the vanilla games just don't offer the same challenges except for the Mods. but even in the mods the patterns get really easy to follow because I can make a situation literally impossible to beat I can kind of have a never-ending anime episode in my head I still love sparking zero I believe it does have a lot of flaws but I also think that people are overlooking the flaws in the other games and giving this game a lot of flack that I don't think it deserves but at the same time because of xenoverse 2 I have a lot of faith that this game will be the greatest 3D arena game ever because xenoverse 2 day one was similar in having a lot of problems but they did fix a lot of things from day one compared to now even though there is other problems in xv2 but no game is perfect so hopefully you see my point

At this point i feel like they should've delayed the game more so that the devs have the time to craft the games identity because its missing alot. Like after i platinumed on ps5 , i completely put down my controller and haven't done anything else. I was always a huge defender of balancing before the game came out and how the Tenkaichi games were actually more balanced than people thought. I always got hate for saying that and now look what's one of the biggest issues in the game, lack of proper balancing, I really don't understand why they took away stuff like ki sickness
Just saw the new patch and I can say I am happy about these new changes, but the only thing I'm waiting on is some type of change with the rampant rage quits. I had over 20 rage quits on both ranked and regular play in one session. The rage quits is what turn me off completely from the game because if you find a way to counter someone who cheeses you, they can just leave the game with no punishment and that infuriates me.
My biggest gripe is you can’t change super attacks. Also the outfit customization sucks.

The thing that tilts me the most is how much criticism like this that's expressed in good faith is responded to as a "Skill issue" no matter what rank you're in AND that you're "Nostalgia blind" for pointing out how current issues were solved 17 years ago. I've been told that sparking zero has a harder cpu than Bt3 and better mechanics. Has got to be some of the biggest cap i've ever heard. Customization sucks, no custom movesets, custom colors for outfits, revenge counters and super perception sucks, no ki and skill sickness, perception spam, Custom battle is so damn tedious and clunky that I don't even want to sink the time into making which I wanted to. There are several issues that people need to accept.
It's just a shame that the version of Sparking 0 we will have in 12-18 months from now is so vastly different than the one we got at launch. Just another case of modern gaming IG...

I totally agree bro and whenever you give valid criticisms for this game people genuinely hate it cuz they grew with the originals and have such fond memories of them but this game definitely felt undercooked weak cutscenes weak campaign weird online waiting system no cross play and ranked feels unfulfilling and when you criticize the game people say stuff like “oh your playing the game wrong” or “it’s supposed to be a party game” imo it’s just cope the game is definitely one of those games I won’t hesitate to delete to make space for a different game I’m excited about it’s kinda like how Spider-Man 2 was after the honeymoon phase.

I agree with you 95%. Especially not giving us SSJ Rage Trunks properly. But a wierd combination of SSJ/2 & Rage into 1. Only thing I disagree about is SSJ Rose Gohan Black. That makes no sense. Ultimate Rose which we got makes so much more sense because it's what Gohan has instead of SSJ Blue. So it's Ultimate + Zamasu's God Ki.

Here are some small things I've noticed from watching videos of this game: no alternate colors for mirror matches, no "Are you ready? Fight!" after characters finish talking to each other, it just cuts into combat which is kinda awkward, kid Trunks having a rush attack thats outdated, recovery time is insanely fast, like what's the point of knocking someone back if they can recover in that same second, Super Spirit Bomb Goku doesn't have the iconic thumbs up win pose after finishing the opponent off with the move, and Vegeta practically looks the same facial wise throughout every form maybe excluding SSG, but isn't he supposed to be his oldest in GT? Like why do he look so young in SS4? Goku also has that same problem in SS4.
I am just glad most people still love the game and think it is great

The game is lacking in content,custom movesets game modes and battle mechanics. This game clearly feels rushed the cut scenes are terrible and lots of content was cut. Even things that were found out to have been completed were cut. About the graphics I still think Raging Blast 1 is the best looking DB game. It looks like the show in pristine hd graphics. It really just needs 60fps and 4k then it'll look perfect.

Honestly characters missing forms n story mode being lackluster is least of my worries (Not saying no one should complain, I agree that is an L on Bandai). Only things that piss me off and wish they improved so the game could step out of the “dying phase” is add more stages (Still wild there’s no Kami house, outside Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Beerus Planet, Movie stages, etc), more costumes so we could get less mirror matches, improved custom battles (Haven’t played custom battle since I platinum Sparking 0 and that cuz the objectives felt the same. I get Sparking Zero is a party fighting game but I wish there were unique objectives instead of just wipe off the cpus health), get rid of super counters or at least give a punishment for those that kept using it a lot so that folks can actually do combos, more what ifs (Especially when more dlc comes out), add skip intros cuz I’m tired of going to rank n seeing the same ass intros of UI, fusions, Jiren, whatever, and seriously praying they fix causal matches where we can just wait for the opponent like in rank match instead of the bs lobby matches. If they done that, Sparking Zero would be at a better state than it is

honestly i dont get the whole "play rank" thing, rank is not fun in the game (stoped at A5 duo and single), i've had a BLAST playing tourny's on the game or even just player match/king of the hill. i just find it very baffling why people keep playing rank on sparking zero when people just cheese or rage quit, just play online tourny or players match in general. It is much more of a fun time imo. and people borderline play everyone too.
One thing you've been bringing up is the intro cutscene you can actually watch it if you go to gallery then theater and press r1/rb and there it is, kinda dumb it doesn't play when you boot up the game but I mostly agree with what you say in this but I still find the game fun to mess around in rather than be completely serious like how some people want to climb the ranks, I honestly just like to play casually against other players

Soon as I saw movie characters in a "shop" I said oh no. Story was ass. Where the stages? Cant even do movie broly with no ice cap stage. Where is basic characters that should be outside of DLC? Super 17 etc. Tenkaichi 3 was better the fighting. The knock around moves.

I agree with most to all points. I had the same expectation when before the game came out. remember how I was talking about how I was even debating on getting the deluxe edition because I knew I was gonna play it for a week then randomly every 2-3 weeks whenever you wanted to play with me. Sadness because the game is decent it just feels so ehh once you get out of honeymoon phase.
Honestly I’ve seen more than enough im just finna pick the game up when it drops in price cuz as of now this ain’t worth no $70 or however much the collector edition costs
They definitely had to skip a lot of things and focused on only trying to fit the 182 characters, It's just the fact that the character select menu was left as it is since the alpha build says everything you need to know, a lot of game modes are missing, and a lot of maps are, especially since they focused heavily on map destruction on the port to only end up with 1 map that you can destroy and 1 which becomes on a larger scale to move around
easy fixes that bandi historically takes forever to fix theres nothing to do after a week of playing it theirs to many ways to counter stuff the story is lazy as hell the customization is useless and was an after thought the custom battles are boring ranked is horrible coming from an s player the game was rushed and as good as the game looks it means nothing when theres no reason to play it tournaments died instantly theres no reason to play online with any other characters but the meta ones because youll lose the ai doesnt do shit but vanish and counter tbh games dead if they dont fix anything which probably wont be until the dlc drops and itll be dead by then once again coming from someone with almost 100 hrs because i wanted everything out of the game i could get and pre ordered the most expensive version of the game im off the game until they add and fix the game

I think the story mode could've still been so much better, especially since this is the first time Super has been adapted in any way in a modern Dragon Ball game. It's one thing to skimp on the Z stuff, but the Super stuff has literally never been adapted in any of the games besides Kakarot with the Battle of Gods and Resurrection F arc, but those were more so based on the movies than the show. I really like this game, but I'll admit that they kinda cut some corners with the story mode.
There is a lot this game can have fixed with patches and dlc. New characters, story missions, outfits, etc. can help some of the diversity problem and just give more content to the game. But some of the quality of life things people are complaining about can’t really be fixed. The poor voice acting and sound editing aren’t going to be overhauled in a patch, that’s going to require a sequel to fix. To me the biggest problem is the choices they made in the sound department that hurt the game’s experience.
Im a little late but i love the game soul reason cause its somewhat similar to BT but its not in alot of ways no button smashing super attacks are delayed sometimes when im doing a rush attack then hold square it just doesnt work and end up getting whooped and im not a huge fan of the character models. Raging blast 2 did character models perfect and i know its manga accurate but id prefer buff ssj3 and ki gets used up TOO FAST ill throw 2-3 ki blast then have to charge up to throw a super attack and rush attacks dont raise ki much at all i can keep going but ill be here awhile

its fun and all but ngl the average broly spam, every 2 oppoent ui goku / gogetassj4, some bugs + cheese makes me wanna leave. of course you can counter most of all cheese but for me at least i have too lock in and play very different. and this every 2 match is annyoing. im so relied if i met a character below 8dp. they should bracket the solo ranked with 1-4dp 5-8 8-10 or something. but more than character dlcs we will not get i guess.

Its so funny people were so hung up about IGN giving it a 7 simply because it was the same rating the gave Concord. Different reviewers doing for each of their reviews aside. People just disagree with Condord being a 7. But hardly anyone arguing that Sparking Zero should be higher than a 7. Like why give af about the ratings? It should be about the content and reasonings. Many of the criticisms they gave were valid anyway. I know attention spans are cooked nowadays but still.

I’ve also had an issue where I transform and I froze and lost control of my character for a couple of seconds afterwards which threw off the flow when I’m fighting.
Another issue is unranked matches specifically quick match. Why do I have to wait in a lobby? Quick match means put me right into a fight. Ranked matches put me into a fight why not unranked?
Last issue, why do we only get best 2 out of 3 matches where I can’t rematch them after the 3rd match? Let people rematch all they want.
On the story mode slideshow yeah there’s like zero animations during the story and using automatic lip-synching. But I’m guessing all the money went into the gameplay.
The only flaw is rage quits im so sick of every content creator covering every game complaining.. cheaters are the problem. Not the mechanics rage quitters and zen/titan users are destroying gaming period

@xXSonTJXx What’s interesting is that you compare sz’s story to xenoverse when xenoverse has a much bigger emphasis on the story because it’s more like an rpg, being completely based around your cac. It also shouldn’t be a problem that there are slideshows if you just look forward to actually playing the game and not watch cutscenes like it’s an anime. I really don’t wanna be that guy, but you should be hype for the next kakarot or any other single player game if you’re this bothered by the cutscenes. Just incase you think I’m glazing I think your other complaints are valid.

The point is that games like Budokai 1 on the PS1, Tenkaichi 2 on the PS2, Burst Limit and Raging Blast 1 on the PS3, DB Legends on mobile and etc all have better cutscenes than a modern triple A Dragon Ball Sparking Zero and that is inexcusable
A lot of those games weren't even fully story focused like that but to dismiss my points by saying "the real focus is the online gameplay" when the devs themselves said they don't care about balancing

Unless someone can actually prove they spent those whole 6 years actually working on it, then that statement is redundant. Cyberpunk 2077 was supposedly in development for "8 years" and we know how that turned out.
People get over hyped, play the game to no end, then get burned out. Playing a game to no end and platinuming it so soon after release will burn you out, especially if you're plaing ranked. Stop. Overhyping. Yourselves. Sparking Zero is probably my favorite dragon ball game(Tied with fighterz), but I never came into it with the expectation that it would be perfect. Also, once again, if you're playing this game for ranked, I dont think you'll have a fun time. I can play this game for 5 hours in a row against my friends, but online I get annoyed match 1. No hate, but this came off as very nit-picky, complaining about personal preferences as if they're indicative of the entire player base, especially towards mid-way through. For your enjoyment and mental health, I HIGHLY advise you stop playing ranked in a game it was NOT made for.

@xXSonTJXx I'm not saying your mental health is affecting how you look at the game, I'm saying playing ranked in sparking zero seriously is just going to make you upset. I have a couple friends that quit because of ranked and random matches killing their enjoyment. The mental health thing was purely from concern. You dont seem like someone who tweaks out at a game, but little frustrations over time(especially if you're a regular streamer) will add up and potentially kill your enjoyment if you're performing for an audience in ranked for a game that was not made for the competitive scene.

all 3 of them are either lack luster, broken or lazily done.
You can't run from that, even if you play with friends online only which you can do with any game that has problems.
Its a bandaid for a flawed game that needs criticism but people refuse to listen to without trying to defend the game.
Tekken 8 rank pisses me off than any other game, still love it way more than Sparking Zero and play it more often.

Well said, 7/10 game for me. That ssb vs ss4 clip is freaking nuts wtf ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°) there's alot of things in the game that makes no sense in why z broly get super armor? Why ss4 gogeta is like the top strongest 3 but not most super characters like what are the devs going off on? Because if we're going off feats they failed on that part. I find it to be very lazy how they reuse some animations from a Raging Blast 2 a 10 year old game what in the world ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°) the slide show story mode is so damn lazy why & how they did vegeta so dirty in the story mode? Why super 17 isn't here but a couple of freiza soldiers ?
The ability to spam going into sparking is insane how did no one think this was bad idea plus power to the very limit not having a flaw. Why are ki blast so strong? The dimensions breaking is so inconsistent I had ss2 teen Gohan vs bojack it broke but in the story mode ss rose goku black vs ssb goku didn't what is going?

We’ve watched the story a million times why does it have to be perfectly fully animated for every one?? For example the trunks part where you legit put in how they did it for xenoverse…. That wasn’t enough for you?! You had to see that AGAIN for the what 3rd or 4th time? Like these are nit picks I hope you have other complaints. Because , I have tons and they aren’t about any of the stuff you talked about for the first 5 minutes

Absolutely wasted space by adding certain characters. Ribrianne, Frieza Soldier, and Mr.Satan etc slots could've been used for characters like Super 17 or Rage form Future Trunks.. but no everyone wants to play Pui Pui

My biggest gripe about the game is that there is no game chat. I want to be able to talk shit to my opponents or maybe if we’re having a good match and both having fun we can beam clash and both scream at the top of our lungs like we’re actually dbz characters. I like doing silly shit like that. Instead I get on rank or play someone online and it’s a quiet dull match all I hear is the awful game music

Does it need changes? Absolutely. You should get a win if your opponent disconnects. Do I wish there was a lot more content? Yes. Do I want the combat system to be refined? Yeah.
But, I like not getting carpal tunnel doing infinite combos until my opponent runs out of ki. It's way more engaging than Xenoverse 2 on the offense and the defense.
It's the flaw of anime games honestly... the Japanese can make some absolutely banger shows and movies but the moment they try to make a game, it becomes another garbage arena fighter that people will forget about in a month
That's a flaw of a lot of licensed games it has nothing to do with them being Japanese. some JRPGs are some of the best games of all time
Tenkaichi 3 didn't have a very comprehensive story either, and I hardly *ever* see that mentioned as a flaw of that game. Hell, I can think of three iconic fights right off hand that aren't shown in any way whatsoever:
1. Ultimate Gohan vs Super Buu.
2. Gotenks vs ANY form of Buu
3. SS3 Goku vs Fat Buu
And that's from one saga. Tenkaichi 2 had a *lot* more going on as far as the story was concerned (it even had full battle cutscenes for a couple fights).
That said, I can absolutely see why they went this route with Tenkaichi 3. We had just gotten through playing just about every single fight that ever happened in Z, and doing that twice in a row was gonna be a tall ask.
I imagine it was exactly the same case with Sparking Zero but arguably even more so. Kakarot has so much story that, last I checked, all of the main cutscenes together are something like 11 hours long. Doing something similar here with *even more* story would be insane (not to mention, it would make Kakarot completely redundant, which would be pretty shitty for the folks who own that game and paid for all the DLC).
Bt3 story is not as complete as bt2 yes but SZ is like way worse lol. AT LEAST Bt3 kept you entertained mid battle since they took advantage of the presentation. Sparking Zero did not. It's the same problem with bt3 but like way worse cmon now

@@EngageTV the mechanics are not polished enough for good pvp. once you get to higher ranks the gameplay loop becomes so incredibly boring because everyone can super counter out of most combos, so theres no incentive to get creative with combo play. super counters lead to 30 second vanish battles which are boring as hell. cheese tactics get rewarded because of unbalanced mechanics like no ki sickness and no drawbacks on very broken moves.
and its not a skill issue. i have 85% win rate online bc ive played a lot of bt in the past. but the game just doesn't have a very polished combat system

Perfection was baseless claims based off of stupid observations while TJ was expressing frustrations that he's experienced first hand, they are not the same.
@@TrueReverse74 Whether you like or dislike Perfection doesn't matter. At the end of the day he was right about a lot of Sparking Zero's flaws that other content creators were straight up ignoring because they were too busy being hyped up and glazing the game.
What pissed me off the most is i was so hype to see dbs trunks but I figured that they didn't even include his ssj2 and ssj rage transformation
This along with SSBE is what pissed many off. At least SSBE got a permanent buff that allows you to stay in that state once you activate it, but Trunks' SSJ2 and Rage? This made no sense. They decided to give him a similar yet worst mechanic to that of Vegeta's SSBE skill. Kale doesn't have SSJ2 or Caulifla doesn't have her SSJ. This game is not it. It needed another year or two for everything to be up to par.
