Late to the party but I think people under 35yrs won’t necessarily see this as their product line unless you are the kind of woman who doesn’t like a ton of makeup at that age. But for those over 35yrs this is exactly what we like (in general) easy to use & will look good for a day to day use. I’m one of those women who usually go do Bobbi Brown products because I don’t like a ton and more skincare focused so I kind of steer clear of a lot of makeup so my skin is able to breathe more easily. I think it’s for women who don’t want to have to think about putting their makeup on which is exactly the kind of woman I am so this is my jam. Want to try the balm & pencils.
To be completely honest like your skin before you added more of your other blush! I thought before you looked youthful, classy, skin flushed & clean. After you put the extra blush you looked over done & a bit clowney! You convinced me to buy the Miracle!
Had no idea Bobbi Brown even HAD a clean beauty line! Haven't seen any of the Beauty News accounts I follow talk about it. This is actually fascinating... I love her whole "accentuate the face you actually have" mentality. Another great video so far!
I read somewhere that Bobbi had to sign a 25 yr non compete clause in the contract that dissolved her involvement with the company. I just find it strange that the company who bought her out continued to use her name. It’s the ultimate in false advertising, IMO.
It looked beautiful on you, even before you editorialized. However, I get that if it’s not your thing, it’s not your thing! I hope you continue to review this line…. Even the more pigmented miracle balms, and especially the best eyeshadows and the newish lip/cheek stick. Great video.
I don’t know what your “typical” look is, but this one is INCREDIBLE! It looks naturally glowing and perfectly suited for your skin and - if I may - my initial impression of your personality!! Damn! I love it. And I’ll be watching more of your videos based on this one.
You look gorgeous and editorial. The mascara has a trick where you can apply a coat and hold the lashes up with your finger to curl them. The miracle balm looks fantastic on your cheekbones! ☺️
I think you have young beautiful skin so you can’t really appreciate what the balm does to restore a healthy youthful glow. I think the product is a miracle and am excited for more shades.
Good to hear. Is the au naturel something you could put all over your face, like a minimal base product under some concealer? Or do you use it as a highlight?
I have the balm in bronze. It is a nice way to warm up the face on a light to no makeup day. I use it on my face and lids. Like it a lot. Also just use my fingers ~would never use a brush bc it is so emollient
Long ago I purchased Bobbi Brown Master class and have since been using her technique for bronzer and love it!!! Especially for my drier mature skin! Basically she uses a matte bronzer first, then a shimmer bronzer (but only on cheeks - she does not believe in putting a shimmery bronzer all over the face) and then tops that with a bronze tint product. I have always wanted to know which bronzer tint she used and now I know --I certain of it! I’m so excited and can’t wait for the balm ...I’ve just been using all cream bronzers I have which have been working great. I still do the normal cream bronzer first then powder etc and I like to buy I have to say her technique is so good even my husband mentions how nice it looks! I think her goal was to create a sheer skin tint. Give her technique a try with the balm -maybe you will like it better. It just adds to the powder products underneath.
I've consistently noticed that she describes colours as way more cool than they translate on camera (for instance, anytime she's called something lilac/lavender, it's looked straight up warm candy pink to me). So I really do think it's a colour-grading issue.
Totally agree with your review of these products- spot on about the shadow and gloss. The Balm is very lightly pigmented. To get any payoff you wind up with very sticky, oily cheeks. To your point - this could have been a better product with a more concentrated pigmentation in a smaller vat of oil. Btw- the “herbal” scent is way strong. My husband hates the scent on my cheeks. Bummer. Liner and mascara are good though! Thanks for your honest review- so helpful for us!
I think it is worth continuing to review because although this time you really only loved the mascara, there could be another hero product yet to come...THANKS!!
I got all of those same products because I'm obsessed with Bobbi Brown! The only product I didn't get is the balm as I have to be really careful with oils on my face, they usually always make me break out. I love all of the other products mentioned, but I'm also a really big fan of the no makeup makeup look. I think you looked beautiful ❤️
I've been interested in this brand but really wanted to wait for more reviews and product releases. I wonder if the color payoff would be better if you tried Miracle Balm in Tawny. I've SUPER dialed down my makeup look during COVID so these products are up my alley. Would love to see more!
I think I'll start with magic hour miracle balm, the #3 face pencil, and the silver eyeliner pencil. That's the perfect amount to be zero away from free shipping. And with the 10% code that's around 75 bucks so I think I'll give it a try this weekend. If I like the miracle balm I will goback for tawny...(there's your fjords-ey shade right there... Thanks for the review!!
For the drying lips it might be the mint oils and menthol, both are irritants and have a high allergen potential for some people 😊 this brings me to the idea that the "clean movement" is so problematic. They many times exclude proven safe ingredients, but have no problem including proven higher irritating ingredients. It's a very big marketing tool that has very little to do with science. I love the videos of Michelle from Lab Muffin and the talk on The Eco well on the subject in case you want to check them out 😁
I’m here for the large balm. We pay so much money 💰 for .25 or .001 oz. Finally a brand that respects my wallet. Love this look on you. Looks beautiful, very french model pretty.
I just discovered your channel, so I'm going down the rabbit hole re: older videos. Big Jones Road fan for all the reasons other commenters have left, though it really had to grow on me. More recent product drops have been fabulous. And yeah ... Dusty Rose miracle Balm is a little underwhelming, and MB in general is super fussy for someone constantly snuggling fuzzy chihuahuas. Hero products for me: Eyebrow Pencils, lip and cheek sticks, eyeliner Pencils and new bronzer. Love your videos! 😎
I was so excited about this, from a marketing standpoint I was all in when I browsed her website. Thank you for your honest review, it will save me a few $$$. :)
Thank you for your honesty. I seriously thought that I was the only one who was not a fan of the Miracle Balm. It’s so sticky, tacky, and feels like putting lip gloss on my face. I wanted to like it so much, but I’m 💯 with you!
Oh heeyyyyy thanks for the shout out! I am totally on board with you, the mascara is absolutely BANANAS and I've worn it every day since getting it. Lipgloss is meh, it wears off super fast for me (however it doesn't murder my lips as bad as the Ilia lol). I was SO close to buying a Kosas Wet Lip Oil the other day because you love them so much. Overall, I've really loved this line - I want to try one of the darker Miracle Balms. I'm honestly surprised how much more pigmented Dusty Rose looks on you, it looks like a sheer highlighter on me when I blend it out! I think the Miracle Balms are huge because Bobbi said she uses these as a moisturizer for herself...so from that perspective, I get why they're so big. I actually like the eyeshadow shade on you a lot, I think it's probably just a shift from what you're used to.
Yes can you do another Jones road review? She now has a lot of eye colors, cheek and lip sticks, and her sparkle wash is awesome especially for those afraid of sparkle on their eyes but want a sparkle that is more classy and glassy.
Here for the honesty, Kackie! I’m not impressed but it’s pretty. Bobbi Brown does mascara really well so I’m not surprised that this one is nice, too. I just don’t have the time/patience to wash that off.
Because I’m all about that blush that blush no bullshit lol but I loved the look even b4 . I dig where Jones Road is going. I wanna go too. I did watch Bobbies master class so I personally feel as though I understand her and her artistry more. I don’t need my moneys worth in pigments. I want products I don’t need to think about. Slap’em on and it’s whatever cuz they’re easy, effortless AND BEAUTIFUL. idk thats just me right. 😊❤
I would love to see her review the newer products from this company…the darker bronzers and the foundation for example. Edited to add: I now see her video on the foundation…I’m going to watch that next.
Thanks for reviewing! I'd be curious to see her future releases... I watched Bobbi Brown's IG lives about the miracle balm and eyeshadows, and I think these products are just for a different aesthetic.
Great review, Kackie. 🙂 The points you made were extremely helpful. I’ve been circling this brand for awhile now and feel like if I end up buying anything it will be an educated purchase.
Omg a whole 5 mins in I thought, "when the heck did Millie Bobby Brown become a seasoned makeup artist-at the age of 15?!?!?" And also, "what? She just came out with a no-makeup makeup line a year ago?" I had a moment there lol
Been using the brand since these products came out. The Miracle Balm is amazing but best when put on top of blush and to create dewy highlights. The bronze just a sec is definitely better than the light shades, They've release so many more products since this video.
I am super late to this video. lol. I am just discovering Jones Road now and searching videos for it. Kackie, I watch a lot of your videos and I think this is one of the prettiest looks on you! Especially the color of the miracle balm! Perfect color for you! More natural and just lovely! Thank you for this great review.
I actually think this looks really sophisticated on you, especially with you glasses! I love the sheer wash of color on you (this is coming from a fellow blush lover). However, I do not get the large container...weird.
As a girl with dry skin, I’m still curious about this. I also don’t have issues with the Kosas mascara - one coat! - but definitely want to try this mascara. The dew balm intrigues me, and I thought you looked just fine with it, but it does seem high priced. I bought the Tower28 balm thinking I’d enjoy it but rarely use it.
in a lot of the videos she's posted, that dark brown eyeshadow is used for eyeliner or eyebrows (or even root coverage for your hair), so I was surprised to see you putting it directly all over your lid! It seems to blend well, though?
Her makeup line seems kind of boring. 😞 With all the new makeup coming out, it doesn’t seem like it stands out from other clean makeup lines. I’ll probably won’t try it. Thank you for the informative review!
You are gorgeous and these products looked fantastic on you. ❣️ I was excited to see you review them because it seems that you have warm coloring as I do, and it is helpful to see colors on warm, light skintones, as so many beauty bloggers that I follow look amazing in cool tones that make me look half dead. I don't subscribe to the 'universally flattering' school of thought and really believe that cool colors flatter cool skintones and warm colors flatter warm skintones. I actually purchased some of this line as well, and LOVE the eyeliner and the brown eyeshadow. Agree that the mascara is great. The balm does work well on my old skin, but only on the cheeks. I purchased the Bronze shade because I was afraid the Dusty Rose was too blue based. The Dusty Rose looked really beautiful on you, which surprised me, because all of the models Bobbi demo'ed it on were cool skintones. I do not like the balm as a lip product for me, being in my late sixties, as I need a brighter pop of color to be flattering. Thanks so much for your honest review. I just discovered you today, but look forward to following you from now on, and I know that my makeup-obsessed-like-her-mother youngest daughter will love you, too! 😀
Until this video, I had only heard of the brand in passing and had no idea that it was Brown’s new line! Very cool and informative video. I would be interested in seeing another video of the brand later when more products launch. Where it stands now though, I don’t think I NEED anything from the brand (except maybe that mascara........)
I appreciate your thoughts! It’s been really helpful. Was really tempted by the kit, but probably won’t buy it and will wait for more launches to come. I was hoping the gloss and shadows and eyeliners would just be really great staples, but seem kinda iffy. I think the balms are kinda misleading because they are so lightly tinted. They seem like more of a face gloss/ moisturizer with tints meant to flatter specific skin tones. I’m guessing blushes will come later? It seems like there needs to be more writing on what it’s intended to be/do? Because the glossy skin looked really beautiful on you but really doesn’t seem like a blush if that’s what you were hoping for. We all know that’s exactly what you were hoping for! 💗
Unrelated to this video; if you HAD to choose between the Bite foundation and the Exa foundation, which would you choose? I am almost done with my Bite foundation and I loved it, but whenever I watch one of your videos where you use the Exa I want to try it so bad. I try to keep a very minimal collection, so I’d rather just have one at a time. I have textured combination dry skin. I prefer a natural finish, but dewy is okay too. I like light to medium coverage.
I find that the Dior mascara primer keeps every mascara from flaking and gives you mega lashes. Note ...do one eye prime and then mascara at a time. Once it dries, it will clump. This mascara is nice but not into the rest. Interested to see what else she releases. I liked her old brand’s esthetic. Could you do a video on your fav “clean” products. Interested to see what is worth it in your opinion.
Thank you for this review. On the cusp of ordering, but I think I'll invest in other/better skin care products first. That way I can get the French girl look I want, faster.
I am interested in this brand! I will keep an eye out for more releases! Since quarentine and loosing my job I have accepted my natural skin (oiliness and all) and I tried wearing makeup and I thought I looked goofy 😆 but I bought a brown eyeliner and colorpop pretty fresh foundation but I mostly just dab Salt NY blush on and smudge the tiniest bit on my lashes when I feel like it. I have no mascara (expired months ago) so I'm currently looking for a cleaner brown mascara. I think I asked my MIL to get me the Avocado mascara for Christmas though because I need waterproof
super thankful for your review... i have added products to my cart and walked away so many times over the last couple of weeks haha. now i think i'll wait til more shades come out and order JUST the mascara and maybeee a powder eyeshadow and eyeliner when shades expand. :)
❤️the review, was looking at this earlier today. I may try the mascara but that would be the only product so far. Also-where are your glasses from? I wear glasses everyday and your frames are stunning 🤓
I knew she left the company and I know she didn’t necessarily agree with the direction they were going - she has a vision of enhancing features but I noticed a lot of colors she probably didn’t love. I use Bobbi Brown - my first “higher end” foundation and concealer. I’m surprised this didn’t have a concealer, since it’s the secret of the universe according to her. I wish they offered smaller packages because the tinted pinkish balm would last forever and you’re sticking your fingers in it - and with less if any preservatives the shelf life must be short. I be always been drawn to her eyeshadows - so underrated.
Hilariously, dusty rose is sold out. It's almost certainly the peppermint and menthol drying out your lips. Why those are clean bewilders me, but oh well. I'm down to buy the mascara and maybe throw the sparkle shadow and the just a sec in my cart.If the miracle balm were in a kjear weiss size, I might try it, but I don't like balms that don't set down on my cheeks, much less my eyes. And I might try the gloss because it has shades. in a clear? nope. Although I feel like Lisa Eldridge could take the deep red miracle balm and make it stunning, but editorial makeup doesn't have to be something you try to keep out of your cat's hair. I was excited to see this. I've been following since launch.
The mascara is the WAHPOW! lol… lashes are everything. If I got stuck on an 🏝 it’s mascara or an eyelash curler. I take either or and I’d look 💣 oh and too faced better than sex mascara is 24$ but that is one of my holy grails. In my top 5 for sure. And I’m a mascara snob.
I know I am late to this party, but I just REALLY wish you could buy samples of this. I think I might like it, but I'd like to try a few of them and at $38 with store to return them to (let's be honest, I'm probably never getting around to shipping things back) I can't justify it. I appreciate your honest take on this. Thank you!
Does anyone have a sheer cream blush from a clean beauty brand that they like? The miracle balm is something that would actually suit me, but I’d prefer to not pay for shipping just for one product.
Might be the menthol and peppermint oil that dries out your lips. Essential oils tend to irritate the skin, so it makes sense that your lips do not feel nourished. Thank you for the video, now I know that I don‘t need it.😬♥️
I've been waiting and waiting for a clean beauty line from someone who actually understands makeup...I think this is it. I've gone full-on contour, baking, drama and I've done the no make-up look. Until now, the latter has always fallen short (doesn't last, creases, can't even tell you're wearing it) or the ingredients are dirty. This is the package and for all types of skin tones. She did a great job and actually gets it for someone who wants to feel beautiful and look put together without looking "made up".
Thanks for the honest review! I was curious about this line, it looked like it could be something really cool or just meh. I would be interested in the new releases only if it's something actually new and innovative. There are so many other brands who have these items down with less fuss and money 💰
How have I not heard of this gal? Loved her banter. Even more so... love this honest review. Bobbi Brown has always been my go to make up guru. I was SO excited about this line. By chance, I happened to order exactly the same products that Kackie ordered. I was pretty disappointed with most everything. It's only been 3 days, but I just can't find the wow factor here. My entire face feels too sticky. I agree that the mascara is the best out of all the products.Too much shine and too much shimmer and sparkle. Doesn't feel like Bobbi Brown products to me.... at all.
Late to the party but I think people under 35yrs won’t necessarily see this as their product line unless you are the kind of woman who doesn’t like a ton of makeup at that age.

You may not *feel* like the cool French girl, but you *look* like the cool French girl. 😍
Totally thought that as well. Such a beautiful young lady!
She looks awesome with the makeup! I don't know why she didn't like it. It enhanced everything
To be completely honest like your skin before you added more of your other blush! I thought before you looked youthful, classy, skin flushed & clean. After you put the extra blush you looked over done & a bit clowney! You convinced me to buy the Miracle!

Laurie , I completely agree with you , I also took her master class
Great idea!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I actually really like that eyeshadow on you. It seems glamorous but simple at the same time.
Love how this look turned out honestly, and it looked so cute with your glasses! I’d love to see a makeup look for glasses wearers from you!!
I know you said this eyeshadow looked grey on you but it looked so warm and reddish when you blended it out! Is that just how it translates on camera?
It did look reddish
I've consistently noticed that she describes colours as way more cool than they translate on camera (for instance, anytime she's called something lilac/lavender, it's looked straight up warm candy pink to me). So I really do think it's a colour-grading issue.
its like the brush she used to blend out had pink or reddish remnants on it.
Skin looks amazing. Its healthy, glowing and natural. I'm all in for the product line
This is by far my favorite mascara of all time. I do not have a problem washing it off if I use a cleansing balm!

I had so many ads for this and THANK YOU FOR THIS. I was curious about the brand and the products but this put me at ease that I don't need anything.
Danessa Myricks is definitely one of those brands I browse regularly. Could you do a 5 best 5 worst or what’s worth it from her?
Thank you for your honesty. I seriously thought that I was the only one who was not a fan of the Miracle Balm. It’s so sticky, tacky, and feels like putting lip gloss on my face. I wanted to like it so much, but I’m 💯 with you!

What blush are you using..I agree with you, I don’t like products that feel wet dewy..👍👍
On the the make-up artist led brands and colored goo fronts I'd love your take on more Danessa Myricks
I love Danessa Myricks brand. Beautiful products.
When I saw Lauren's video I could NOT believe how huge that miracle balm is. I just don't know why that's necessary!
Good for Bobbi Brown! I wonder if the brand will ever move away from her name, like the whole Kat Von D/KVD Vegan Beauty 🤔
Thanks for reviewing! I'd be curious to see her future releases... I watched Bobbi Brown's IG lives about the miracle balm and eyeshadows, and I think these products are just for a different aesthetic.
I watched a video on the balm, maybe the same one, and she seemed like she was almost defending them. The tone was strange. Did you notice that?
@@kackie Interesting! I noticed a strange tone but it felt more to me like she herself didn’t really understand the point of it...
I am having a better experience with Jones Road, but I could listen to you all day yo. And I do think you look marvelous with what you've done.
Her aesthetic has always been natural but a little better. I love it on you!
How do you not have hundreds of thousands of subscribers! You are so knowledgeable, beautiful, skilled...and hilarious. Loved this video!
The Dusty Rose really looks good on you!
Great review, Kackie. 🙂 The points you made were extremely helpful. I’ve been circling this brand for awhile now and feel like if I end up buying anything it will be an educated purchase.

Might pick up the balm if she has a sale, winter dry skin is coming soon
Her makeup line seems kind of boring. 😞 With all the new makeup coming out, it doesn’t seem like it stands out from other clean makeup lines. I’ll probably won’t try it. Thank you for the informative review!
The way I got a Bobbi Brown Masterclass ad just before this video started
I would love to see you continue reviewing the rest of the line. First time viewer.
Until this video, I had only heard of the brand in passing and had no idea that it was Brown’s new line! Very cool and informative video. I would be interested in seeing another video of the brand later when more products launch. Where it stands now though, I don’t think I NEED anything from the brand (except maybe that mascara........)
I know you’ve probably already addressed this in another video...but where are those glasses from!?
i love Bobbi Brown - the person. I like that she is sort of sticking it to Estee L
I kind of like the subtlety of the Miracle Balm on you:)
Early 2021 supposedly they are coming out with the concealer pencils- similar to what she used in her MasterClass class.
So excited to see you review this. Bobbi always did have the best makeup style.
I love the eye look on you! I think it’s sophisticated! Not super interested in the brand though, nothing is calling to me, especially for the price!
Everything looks good on you. I’m happy I bought this.
Mascara looks GREAT!!!
How would you compare this to something like the RMS uncoverup cream foundation?
The mascara is the WAHPOW! lol… lashes are everything. If I got stuck on an 🏝 it’s mascara or an eyelash curler. I take either or and I’d look 💣 oh and too faced better than sex mascara is 24$ but that is one of my holy grails. In my top 5 for sure. And I’m a mascara snob.
I saw that she had a blush called Pop of pink. Did you get that?
I know I am late to this party, but I just REALLY wish you could buy samples of this. I think I might like it, but I'd like to try a few of them and at $38 with store to return them to (let's be honest, I'm probably never getting around to shipping things back) I can't justify it. I appreciate your honest take on this. Thank you!
Does anyone have a sheer cream blush from a clean beauty brand that they like? The miracle balm is something that would actually suit me, but I’d prefer to not pay for shipping just for one product.
Might give the eyeliner and just a sec shimmery eyeshadow a shot but that's about it. Thanks for the honest review
Kackie, there are deeper more pigmented shades of the miracle balm. I think they just dropped. Sunkissed and Tawny may be your yam.
Doesn't feel like Bobbi Brown products to me.... at all.
I appreciate such an honest review. Saves me so much money lol.
I’d be curious if she releases a foundation etc but so far I feel like Bobbi Brown isn’t wowing me with this..
What brand are your glasses?
I Love the glasses. Need the info
When Facebook advertised the balm to me, I immediately heard your voice in my head “tub of shimmery goo” 😆
LOL!! You are so wise! 😂
Kackie - I really love this look on you!! Love, love, love!!
I love your glasses! Who makes them?
What lighting do you use??? Always looks great 😊 I’d love to know!
