I remember when a bug occurred that made this music play at random times and I was underwater and when I started to drown, the attack noise played and scared the crap out of me
All Charging Time Stamps 1:12 2:26 3:35 Litterally the scariest thing to hear if your below deck distracted doing something else. Which most of the time is me
And if you have a friend/crew member/captain onboard your vessel and they are above deck and they might say “BRACE FOR IMPACT”. That would terrify you if say you were on duty of repairing the ship or removing water and you don’t know what’s going on.
My first Megalodon encounter was on my first day of playing the game a while ago. I was completing voyages with a more experienced friend when I heard the music and asked him "Why do I hear boss music" and we immediately dropped anchor to fight it. It was scary not knowing where it was, but not as scary as the Megalodon charging at me and throwing me overboard while I was restocking on cannonballs.
Imagine if all the megalodons had different special powers like shadowmaw went invisible and the ancient one spawned some kind of invincible power for a small time or the rarest mega the white tipped one (forgot the name) was able to teleport or something would make the game alot harder for these kinda boss fights.
The hungering one hit you with a blast of water to take you out of the ship and the crested queen smacked the ship with her tail turning the ship at a random angle perhaps?
I still remember fighting the meg during hungering deep while my friend was in the room. after the Meg attacked I looked behind me and see my friend traumatized.

I only ever had the Megalodon attack the ship 2 times in 3 minutes but otherwise it was just music, it was kind of weird how I constantly had the feeling of "Why do I hear boss music" knowing a Megalodon is nearby, but they barely showed up or attacked in the 2 hour span.
Ive been playing sea of thieves with the boys for half a year, gotten like 20 megs. Theyve never attacked us once and we even jumped in the water with them. Last week one finally attacked, scariest shit ever(besides the kraken ofcourse)
Yesterday I fought the hardest Meg since the original Hungering One. The thing kept biting us about every 15 secs, and that isn’t an exaggeration. We survived, but were unable to retrieve the Skeleton Captain Ship’s loot that we had sunk prior.
There's a bug in the game where if you encounter a megalodon, leave the hunting grounds and another crew enters the hunting grounds, every time they get charged by the megalodon, you will here the attack music. It keeps scaring the crap out of me, you can be on the other side of the map, not even joking, and here the attack music.
To anyone who has encountered the Shrouded Ghost...what was it like? What was your reaction? When did you find it? I’ll edit my reaction here if I ever encounter it

And honestly a part with a megaledon it would be terrifying but exiting because why not. I would love that to be in a movie irl. It might been explosive barrel but i still to this day bellieve it was 2nd megalodon. Long story short, we both died in the suprise attack and before we respawned the boat drifted to closest island causing that beast to go away. Is there any attacks similiar to megalodons attack that can kill multiple players in boat and most importantly is there bug or change to have 2 megalodons? I am still hunting for answers.

The meg chased me for a whole 20 minutes, me on solo on a sloop, i stopped at a island to recover, HE CAME BACK IMEDIATELY After i left the island but he that dirty shark wasn’t gonna be the end of me ! With a sniper rifle and two cannons i kept him far away from my glorious sloop and made it back to the outpost and sold my 30,000 worth of treasures, also it all happened during a storm.

@@KCGamingBuddies that’s not entirely accurate, but they do try to get the worst sounding ones, for instance, they went to a concertina store and found one that was not in the best condition, when someone played it you could hear it “breathing” which is usually not wanted but in order to give it the feel of something that is not taken care of and left on a ship for long periods of time

I’m usually the fifth: debate whether to fight it, decide to fight it, fire one cannonball and watch it despawn
Dont forget the sixth: bull fight with it and dodge its attempts to ram the boat
So is the shrouded a rare megealdon or it only spawn when you do a quest
