The person who is representing our prestigious, illustrious and mother of all universities i.e. UU, failed to interpret the basic difference which says that Utkal is an affiliating university. It doesn't provide any imperial UG courses on its campus at Vani Vihar (not considering the rural campus at Chandikhol here). Anyway, he looks quite biased from his body language. I want to ask him whether he tried to attend his classes. In most of the humanities PG courses, I find students are not so interested in attending the classes. Apropos science students regularly attend their classes without fail. In a related vein, I must say, Ravenshaw is no better when it comes to PG Classes on Humanities course. Moreover, coming to placement, UU will land in a far better position. I agree that on-campus placement for traditional courses is not provided, but post campus placement is extremely breathtaking. Here is an example from my Dept. i.e LL.M. So you can find almost 90% of Odisha Judicial Servants are from our Dept or else from the ULC/MSL of UU) same goes with Odisha Civil Services. Furthermore, Campus politics is a huge issue at UU, as some of the Master's students are willfully and with dishonest intentions called the local goons to campus to satisfy their interests and thereby creating unwarranted nuisance on campus. That is the reason why UU has never paid any attention to cultural festivals. On the other hand, Ravenshaw is occupied with relatively younger students and it is quite easy to administer them. Lastly, it is like comparing a college with a university, ergo before comparing one must keep in mind that Ravenshaw is a unitary university having no pressure from any corner. But the same never goes with Utkal. PS- Do you know Utkal before 2003 is also an affiliating university for Engineering courses and still it is the affiliating university for MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, MD & MS also Mch. 💞 Once an Utkalian is always an Utkalian and nothing but an Utkalian.

Yes, that issue is existing, but unfortunately, this is happening because of students only. As far as I know, few years ago, the mess was functioning smoothly, and I hope you better know the reason for its abandonment. Anyway, there's a difficulty that exists, I have to agree. Coming to the point highlighted as "catcalling", this is something that can be found even in the institutes of reputation. By saying so I am not endorsing it, rather, if your contention is genuine then the authority should take a note of this. It is obvious, that when the campus is itself so humongous then minor issues like street lights would arise. FYI A+ has been given not for infrastructure alone, but rather for the substantial steps taken in the research field. Ironically, you are judging a university on the basis of the gymnasium, whereas a gym doesn't play any pivotal role in a master's degree university. And the current situation of UU was earned by the politically motivated alumni.

As far as I know, few years ago, the mess was functioning smoothly, and I hope you better know the reason for its abandonment. Anyway, there's a difficulty that exists, I have to agree. Coming to the point highlighted as "catcalling", this is something that can be found even in the institutes of reputation. By saying so I am not endorsing it, rather, if your contention is genuine then the authority should take a note of this. It is obvious, that when the campus is itself so humongous then minor issues like street lights would arise. FYI A+ has been given not for infrastructure alone, but rather for the substantial steps taken in the research field. Ironically, you are judging a university on the basis of the gymnasium, whereas a gym doesn't play any pivotal role in a master's degree university. And the current situation of UU was earned by the politically motivated alumni.
