Wood Collecting Hack | Disney Dreamlight Valley

- Give me all the Dark Wood!!! I've finally found a way to make collecting wood easy and efficient! Let me know what you think of this idea and if you do anything similar in your valley!

I've heard of using a few trees to collect the wood but I haven't seen anyone else use the light pathway in the Forgotten Lands. That's a really good idea.
yes! I can finally see the dark wood! lol ugh no more missing out on the ones that blend into the ground!
I did the same thing with my biomes, too, and it makes things so much easier. Dark wood is the one I struggle with the most, too, just because it can only drop from the Forgotten Lands, so I just don’t get enough of it. What I’ve done is placed all of my trees by my wells so that I can quickly grab any wood that has fallen as I fast travel into the biome on my mining runs. :)

That's a great idea! I had been trying to figure out how to decorate around my wells so a tree area may be what I do.
You only get 6 dark wood at a time, they need to increase it to at least 10 so we can make the large chests
I’ve seen it but it wasn’t explained well and so I never did it. Thank you so much for this video and the decoration idea in the dark biome. I love the light flooring to see the wood! And having all the tree out of the area leaves space for when new characters and their houses come. So happy I just found you with this video and I’m going to watch and like more! I love this idea! I've seen some people remove most of their trees but i had no idea wood wasn't locked to specific ones. Also using the light pathway, such a good idea !!! ty for sharing :)
You’re welcome! My mind was blown to find out the plaza trees would drop dark wood!
There is a limit to the drop rate. I have eight trees spaced out. You want to keep them far enough apart in each biome that they don't block each other's spawn path.
Oh! Your fire fountain decoration is so gorgeous!! I love these purple bushes and the lavender.
The tip is great, I always thought the trees would give specific types of woods, not that the spaces would determine which type it dropped, great to know and illd efinitely follow this tip!!

I have the same the except I did not get rid of any trees I just lined my trees up on the outer edges of each biome & I collect it as I go around each biome to mine! It’s so much roomier & better now in each biome because of this and I also took out anything I was not using or needing in each biome . Great video

Whaaaat!!! You DON'T need the original trees?! And you can create a tree farm?!?! I was kinda bummed because I want the new large chests but I didn't have enough dark wood, could only craft one.
Gotta try it today!! And finally I can make stuff look more presentable. I have no decorations nor deleted much stuff because I thought it would interfere with the respawning of stuff. Thank you!!! Bless the TH-cam Algorythm's God for making you show up on my feed lol!!!

I don't follow many channels on this game so it's great to see your video pop up, so I gave you a follow!
I kinda figured this out by accident because I got sick of the trees and not being able to see. I noticed if I just had a few tress I got a lot more wood. I had planned to decorate so I removed ALL of the trees, then put a couple back once I saw I needed wood production. I love your little set up and I didn't know you could place any tress for the wood. That's great! I'm going to work on a cute area for collection next time I login.

I think it's just called Disney Dreamlight Valley lol I would just do a quick search on fb because I think there are lots of groups. It's cool to see what people are up to in their games!

Great idea! Thanks for sharing. I took out a lot of those spooky trees because I didn’t like them and it was too busy to move around. So I am curious what it looks like now. But I’ll remove a lot more trees now!

i knew this for months. basicly found out about this around end of the 1st month. i just slap plaza tree farms in areas makinng 4x4 squares on all sides empty. which plaza trees are 4x4 ;) so i kinda use them for guides and delete the ones i dont need.

Great video! I've not changed anything much in mine, apart from adding character houses & bunching a few apple trees together. I'm usually busy cooking soufflés with Remy & selling them 🤣 I will have to give this a whirl!!!

I saw a video that goes into detail about this but it’s about 20 pieces are max you can have spawn in a biome
i use the purple trees myself its working great

U only need about 4 to 6 trees in each biome
Are you able to feed the animals? I have not been able to. Any ideas?

I recently discovered you on you tube and I am so impressed by your content that I had to subscribe. Just watched this video and it's definitely interesting. Forgotten lands is actually my favourite biome in the game and I was reluctant to change anything. I understand it would be better tho to see the dark wood easier etc. I ended up making a brick path with some plaza trees too, yet I haven't taken away many tress, as I really like the creepiness and the atmosphere it sets. Do you think this will affect whether I get the drops of wood at the brick area or will I still only get the dark wood around the area, as I kept most of my trees. Thank you so much! I think if there are a lot of other trees the plaza ones either won’t spawn or won’t spawn a lot of wood. I’d love to know how it works out for you. Experimenting different techniques is fun! 💕
Thanks Jamie. As predicted, after a night and at work today, I came home, logged on and there was only one piece of dry wood at those trees. So aye, gotta be without the others in the biome. I really don't want to take all the other trees away, so I'll stay with what I have. The dark wood was scattered around the tress as usual. Thanks again for your advice. 💖
@@carrolclark8497 You could get rid of the plaza trees all together, and just thin out the number of spooky trees. Or even just add some brick pathway around the trees so you can see the wood easier! But if you like the forgotten lands the way they are that's ok too! I'll probably add some trees back to the area when I have more characters living up there!
@@jamiegames2022 aye, I like your thinking. Think I'll stay with what I have and the brick around the trees, might be quite nice. I have been working on other biomes, finished my plaza and meadow, sunlit plateau and beach. Think the forest is going to be the hardest. It's just such an amazing game and I love everything that we can do with it. Thanks again Jamie 🌟🌟

I tried this in the forgotten lands and all my trees barely spawned 2 pieces of wood each in over 2 days. Am i doing something wrong?
Hmmm I'm not sure. I left two forgotten land trees and added 4 plaza trees. I WILL say the only area this hasn't really worked in for me is the Sunlit plateau. But I did leave a bunch of trees in there. I'm still working it all out myself!

How did you get that squirrel as a companion? I saw them when I did that «the great blizzard» quest, but didn’t know they could be companions?
He just popped up in my companions after part of the story that included them! I was super surprised and thrilled!

Actually only 3 are needed! Still get all 20 with just 3. You don't get the full 20 with 2 trees so 3 is the minimum

I got rid of a few of the red trees and they didn’t go into my inventory. Did yours disappear too?
Trees are unlimited, you should be able to find them in build mode at the bottom in the trees category!
Where is that fire fountain from? I've never seen that
I believe it's from a quest pretty early on in the game. I honestly forget which character. I want to say Donald but it is escaping me!
