Yeah and today's actors are probably very used to acting using blue/green screens. The scene with Sae-Byeok and Ji-Yeong has to pots with plants behind each of them. The one behind Sae-Byeok is alive and well but the plant behind Ji-Yeong is dead and has faded, foreshadowing that Ji-Yeong is the one that will die. Imagine crossing those squares of glass for 15 mins knowing you could die at any second and when you finally get done and think you made it, a huge glass shard stabs you in the hip. Made me so mad that they weren’t protected before the panels were shot. That wasn’t apart of the game and if it wasn’t for that the one girl would have lasted till the final game.
They would've saved two of them with med staff or just not given a crap. There was a chosen winner as explained in the last episode. They all "equally" had a chance of getting hit with glass, and it was done purposefully to make it more "exciting" on the off chance it did hurt one or more of them. It'd make the "struggle" for the last game more entertaining. Sigh...rich people 🙄
I'm thinking the reason they were allowed to keep their steak knives many, many hours before the final game was to reduce the player number to just two for that last one, a free-for-all until only two remain, at which point the soldiers would stop them from killing each other. It likely would have played out the same way even if there had been more than just the three of them that survived the bridge game, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if in that scenario the Front Man induced another "mini-game bloodbath" with the flickering lights. The soldiers had eyes on them that whole time, and yet they didn't interfere when Sangwoo crossed that big room to kill Saebyeok on the other side. Instead, they were ready with the coffin right outside when Gihun had his back turned for less than a minute.
@@friedfishy I thinks pretty obvious that's why they did it. They were hoping someone would get stabbed by glass when they exploded the bridge, and then the steak knives at dinner was a backup plan if someone wasn't already dying. That's why they prevented them from finishing the fight after the girl died in the dorms from being stabbed. They were planning on three and then 2 at the end. They said 6 games. It's not like they'd purposely only have five. It's not satisfying to those sickos to only have five games when they were promised six. And watching two old friends duke it out for the final one? Those VIPs were probably in euphoria watching such an emotional thing.
I love how they got intimate with the marbles game because up until that point all of our favorites had survived and now we were being brought back to the reality that they would die as well

And good actors
Idk if that was ever questioned, most of squid game shooting seems to have been real. Green screen and cgi work best imo when used sparingly and only to elevate practical effects and real sets. That’s what they did here.
@@tacosmexicanstyle7846 yeah, the advantage squid game had was the fact that the settings within the story itself were all simple enough to allow it, it's lowkey genius.
Yeah and today's actors are probably very used to acting using blue/green screens. Though building that little neighbourhood probably really helped to build up and intensified the emotions and the moment. They put so much effort into the smallest of details. The scene with Sae-Byeok and Ji-Yeong has to pots with plants behind each of them. The one behind Sae-Byeok is alive and well but the plant behind Ji-Yeong is dead and has faded, foreshadowing that Ji-Yeong is the one that will die. For me that's the most impressive thing that they put so much time into the smallest of details.
@@Musiknird can time stamp the episode and time for me. I want to see exactly what ur talking about

That's why original language with eng sub is suggested

Korean TV series have dominated viewing preferences across large parts of Asia for the last decade. But it has taken a high-concept survival drama “Squid Game” to become the first K-drama to rate as Netflix’s top show.
Ppl love action disturbing thrillers like these
This is why Squid Game is a big hit
I don't care what anyone says, this show deserves the popularity it got.
This is hollywood high class and quality. No wonder the show are so success. Ignore the overhyped, but just look how much effort from producer till actors to creating this series. Well done!!
Edit: Seems people misunderstand about my comments. I didnt say the series are Hollywood movie, but what I mean is the series quality are perfect like the best Hollywood movie quality. Do note Im not talking about CGI, but about the settings and acting quality. Sorry for my bad grammar though, English not my main language. Cheers!
The fuck are you talking about? This ain’t by Hollywood, which is the whole reason it’s actually decent
This is definitely not Hollywood "high glass and quality"
@@johnjohntv1195 the whole reason its "decent" is because of good writing, little use of cgi (maybe like 12 percent), likeable characters and that netflix actually accepted the show, basically your saying it sucked if the whole reason is because it isnt hollywood
What does Hollywood have to do with the success of this show? it’s definitely high class and quality content but that’s trademark of every good production.... there are many Hollywood shows that severely lack in quality... th-cam.com/video/D4VHVphIrVE/w-d-xo.html hello everyone you can listen my squid game cover with traditional melodies 🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
This show is great but as soon as you turn on the dub it's the funniest thing ever
I like being able to understand a language if I listen to it in sub Im just gonna be annoyed that I can't understand so I watch dub.
I just saw comments saying KYS after someone said they like the dub English
squid comedy
I'm way too dyslexic for the sub.
but I don’t get how are people who only speak English able to watch it without the dub? like the sub is the same for any version you watch so is the sub accurate? Because why watch it in Korean when I can’t understand and the sub is the same?
Those VIPs were probably in euphoria watching such an emotional thing.
lol, sang-woo made everyone start over on set😂😂, I swear I would have been so mad if someone made us start over :,]
it probabily happened more than once
Well u should be happy ur not an actor the n because it happens all the time

What if u made everyone start over? Being an actor is hard.
I’m sure it wasn’t just once and it wasn’t just him. :)
Did… people really listen to this dubbed? Seeing it reeeeaaally kills it for me.
Yup
Same man same. I did Korean audio with subtitles. The voices and performances added so much. The dubs I’m hearing here are powerfully weak
I'm a slow reader so I usually listen to dub. Compared to other dubs I've seen, Squid Game wasn't that bad.
@@fish7860 yikes
Americans are too lazy to read subtitles cuz they never had to before.. are you surprised
This series had more real scenes than whole Fast and the Furious movies together
I love how they got intimate with the marbles game because up until that point all of our favorites had survived and now we were being brought back to the reality that they would die as well
Kinda insulting to the actors to not even use their original voices for this video
@ILacey no it's not? The clips (where they actually talked) were like 3 seconds each, the whole rest of the video would have been English - also subtitles exist

I am taking a locally-sponsored online course in Singapore to upskill myself while soldiering through the prolonged effects brought on by the pandemic. Decided to "unwind" that day as the pace of the course got really intensive. Boy, what a wrong choice for a show to "relax" the mind BUT I did not regret one bit! Yes it put me at the edge mostly but I saw bits of humour thrown in as well plus it also served to remind me that the cruel reality we face outside in the working world is Very real. Great motivation to work even harder with my studies to win this fight. Thanks, Korea for producing one good show after another to not just entertain but with themes people in Asia and the world can relate to over the years. Love from Singapore!
