ABSOLUTELY love your vids ! You are my favorite Pipe surfer now. I'm goofy and still surf Pipeline. I live in Malibu and you should check out Pt. Dume out next time you're in SoCal. There is a deep submarine canyon and the waves have WAY more juice than Malibu point .It faces do-south so summer is the best. POINT DUME. PS rattle snakes hate heat.

13:12, something that has never happened before in the history of lowers.. not too mention a traveling pro did it... he actually took a look to see if he had someone behind him or cut someone off, Classy move, impressive for a guy who Probably has to battle and claw on the north shore for every wave regardless that he is in that top 1% talent wise and shows up at the most crowded spot in Southern California and doesn’t act like a tool, impressive. We can all learn something here. Give some, take some, smile, say “hello”, no matter where your surfing, where your from or who you are. World will be a better place.
That's because in Hawaii you'll get your ass beat for being disrespectful and in California people only respect their own opinion and people who agree with them. There's a cultural difference... Also to see it go to 13:10.
Turbow Time surfed in Hawaii many times and people get cut off there like they do here, people aren’t getting roped there anymore than here. There are idiots everywhere and the reaction to those idiots is universal. Cheers,
Ahhhh so good i want rn ahhh amazing waves gotta keep myself over I always watch amazed riding the heavy waves with heavy music like Delta Parole or with relaxing music videos in background.
Hands down, the best performance wave in the world. Super intense lineup with all the pros. If you are a beginner, don't bother. You can sit and watch from the shoulder how it's done.
Dude have you ever been surfing in Indonesia ???? I'm convinced there are the best !! waves ever !! And you dont even need a wetsuit because the water is so warm ! Cheers
The only place in South OC/San Diego more crowded that Ala Moana Bowls is Trestles and Swami's. But Koa always manages to get some of the best waves due to his superior surfing skills! Would love to see you surf in person brother! Another great video!
Koa and Jack, you guys are awesome at this. I just discovered your channel and I'm hooked! For those of us who are new to the surf world could you do a video that explains how a surfer's performance is judged during competitions? For example by breaking down and comparing clips between a high-score wave, medium, and low-score waves. Thanks, keep up the good work!
Pretty much all snakes prefer to hide in the middle of the day or at least are far less active when it's hot Koa. The best way to avoid snakes (what bushies will tell ya in Australia) Koa when your truckin' through the bush is to stomp your feet as you walk, and to move more slowly rather than just crash headlong through the brush as you would normally. This gives the snakes time to sense you and move away. The vibration will make them move away from you. If you encounter any snake freeze absolutely still - even in mid step - just freeze, usually what the snake will do after a few second to maybe 10 seconds after its started and begins to rattle is to stop rattling and slither away. All snakes can't strike beyond the coil or curved posture of their bodies, so if a snake 3 ft long is completely coiled in a circle it can strike about 3 ft. If it's curved up like an S then won't be able to strike very far i.e. If your within the coiled length of the snake it can hit you as it strikes. If you her a rattle then FREEZE immediately, just stop still. This includes talking. If after the next bit of advise you need to talk then do so very quietly because snakes can sense the vibrations in the air and loud sharp sounds arouse them. Don't make a sound or move at all until you know where the snake is!!!!! The snake will rattle a bit then usually stop and then move away. If it then slowly calms but doesn't move then you wait a bit longer, THEN VERY carefully if you move very very slowly away the snake will usually not become agitated enough to strike. If you're really close and might get bit then, wait for the rattle to stop and the snakes body to relax a bit (this is usually the head will go down and the neck of the snake will not be as flattened out - this flattening of the body is to appear more threatening to its foe - relaxing of this and less rapid rattling indicates less agitation in the snake) if you have a towel on you or even your board then you can very, very slowly put the board between you and the snake but every movement must be extremely slow and deliberate as snakes react to any fast sudden movements, and move very slowly and smoothly away:)
Cornwall has been pumping this week. Burgers are terrible though (definitely no In and Out). Pasties can be ok if you go to the right place. No sunrise shack :-(
Dude, sick episode. Good to stash your blades especially in califas. Pretty badass huh. Rattlesnakes and great whites. Please be careful, we still have a pandemic in the world. Enjoy my part of the world. Aloha
Good video, rattlesnakes can be found at night and in the day depending on what part of California., You really need to get to Big Sur as a surfer there’s every type of wave there
We had a summer of juvenile white sharks popping up a lot around San Clemente area. Still ocassionally see them but I wouldn't call those giant or trestles shark infested. If you wanna see some big ones I know some guys up in SF that can tell you some stories.
Dang Koa, when I subscribed to your channel it was around 10k-15k and now your about to break 100k subs, well done and well deserved keep up the the great content. Now get outa Cali I got waves to catch. jk
@@maxalvarez9141 what kind of douche bag comment is that? If you’ve been following him you would know he’s been trying to get better at doing airs. How old are you?
@Sup bro there's one decent point break in my area, but we have long periods (up to 4 weeks) where there's no waves anywhere and we gotta where 5'4 wetsuits with a hood and boots most of the year

Imagine being stuck surfing on the North Shore of Hawaii during a pandemic... This poor guy, I feel for him!
Yeah Koa you legend !
12:40 - Koa goes full French Mime with it. If he starts putting his hands up against an imaginary wall, I'm gonna lose it.
“This should all be over real soon” laughs in Californian

I respect that jack swam out for some water shots on a crowded day, but I have a feeling he was just cooking on the sand!
Trestles looks sick

Wait so you guys mobbed from Venice to lowers?
GREAT GREETING FROM BARCELONA FRIEND 🤙
I surfed 20 meter waves on the weekend they where huge
Someone who couldn't tell the difference between "where" and "were" wouldn't be surfing 20m waves.
3:18 "we're kinda just stuck at home" poor you being 'stuck' at the world's most legendary break lol, try being stuck in Cornwall (England) :(
@Sup bro there's one decent point break in my area, but we have long periods (up to 4 weeks) where there's no waves anywhere and we gotta where 5'4 wetsuits with a hood and boots most of the year
When he gets back to Hawaii he's going to have to do a 14 day full on lockdown quarantine mandated, I believe. Wonder if he knows that yet...? 😏
Yeah for halloween you can go as a Japanese Geisha!
Gee Southern California has been getting way better surf than Northern California whereI am
😂😂😂😂Koa looks like a mime with all that sunscreen so thick on his face. 🤣
There’s a pyzel shop in San clemente
Love you koa
Man. I want to go to the south shore but we mainlanders have to quarantine when we get to the island for 14 days . Is this true for you guy coming here?
Wow wouldn’t wanna be dapping up and hugging someone straight off the plane so much for social distancing
14:08....damm good cutty!
replace rattle snake with surfers on that warning sign😂
