Dr. Jean Dodds discusses the issues surrounding vaccines and the importance of being educated about them. She highlights that not all veterinarians follow vaccine policies and that pet owners have the choice to decide whether to vaccinate their pets. Dr. Dodds explains how vaccines work by imitating an infection and stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies. She also discusses the concept of sterilizing immunity and the different types of vaccines available. Dr. Dodds emphasizes the need for individualized medicine and tailoring vaccines to the needs of each pet. She also mentions the concerns about vaccine adjuvants and the potential for adverse reactions.

My Westie girl, Gracie, went in for a dental back about 7 months ago now. She was 11 3/4 years old at that time. She is indoors, nor do we wander out in the wilderness, etc.; exposing her to rabid wildlife. The veterinarian staff immediately started haggling me that she needed her rabies vax. I explained to them that she is a VERY sweet, docile dog and has NEVER even attempted to bite anyone. I explained to them that she was older and I didn't want her pumped full of junk. I had already spoken in depth to Gracie's veterinarian a few months prior, during her annual physical. He told me "Look. I truly understand your view on this issue. I do. But....I'm not the owner of this practice and I HAVE to recommended what they tell me to or I'll loose my job." So, again, here we are, back at the vet's for her dental and Gracie's vet was'nt there that day. I told the reception staff to NOT give her ANY vax's and to make sure that the vet doing her dental cleaning was well aware of MY CHOICE. Let me tell y'all somethin'!!! I went back to get her and was at the counter, fixing to slide my card to pay for the procedure and I noticed the price of the procedure was off. I said "Why is my bill more than it should be?" The wicked receptionist looked at me with a grin and said "Oh....Looks like she got her rabies vaccine." I about come UNGLUED! I said "Excuse me! What did you just say?!?!" Yep! Sure enough, the other vet injected her, THEN tried to CHARGE ME! I was so upset! Sooooooo UPSET! I refused to pay it! A couple of days later, Gracie's regular vet called me and "apologized" for the "miscommunication" I said "There was NOTHING that was MIScommunicated! Y'all went ahead and pushed something on my dog that YOU ALL knew I was refusing! That isn't right! She's my dog! I get to choose!" He just continued to grossly apologize. There was nothing left to say. The mess had already been pumped into my girl.😭 Sadly human medical doctors cannot be trusted anymore and veterinarians are following right behind!

I lost 4 dogs in 2 weeks after a vet came to my farm and injected my dogs. They never had the Injections. I knew they were poisonous, but I had no recourse because at the time we were in the process of adopting. They said it was mandatory. If my husband Hadn't been sick (and later died) from taking an antibiotic, I would have sued the company and the vet. This is all very disturbing.
I'm sorry this happened to your pup. I don't think tooth cleaning is safe and I no longer use vets or doctors. Tartar on dog's teeth is similar to human teeth. It's the diet. You can go to.
Weston a price foundation And find all the ways to clean human teeth and some can be used on pets. I allow my dog to chew on antlers. She does extremely well and has two of them. When they get too small, I throw them away and get New ones. They do not come apart in pieces like other chewy things. I'm very concerned about treats, chewy toys And anything else that I have no control over making. I make my own dogs toys by buying the squeaky separately. I buy thick socks, Wash them thoroughly, Zigzag the toes together, Add knots, squeaky and knots throughout, Depending on the length of the sock and the thickness. Dollar tree has long thin children's socks. They work the best. My dog would prefer to play with this toy than the other forty toys that she already had. I have made several for her. Inbuy squeakies at amazon.

Thank you Dr. Dodds! 2 years ago my new rescue dog was a mess. Hot spots, bloody diarrhea, constant scratching, little scabs in his ears. 3 expensive vet visits and antibiotics made everything worse. I did a lot of research and found you and sent his saliva to your lab. When results came back you said he has a true leaky gut due to food allergies. He's basically allergic to almost EVERYTHING! Thank you for making feeding suggestions too. He's doing great! He's happy! I'm not stressed anymore! All symptoms gone! Cannot thank you enough for this episode. Through the years, I became a tiny bit knowledgeable about the importance of vaccination and the problem of over vaccination. I was a palled when my vet without consulting me. I have strict order not to give vaccine without my consent. They gave him his second rabies vaccine when he went for blood work. He’s epileptic. Hell broke loose 36 hours after being vaccinated and he had his first nonstop cluster seizures. We were terrified did not know what was happening for two hours. He was on an off seizing till we arrived to an ER hospital where he was admitted. Prior to that day his seizures were single & under one minute.
Since that day, I never let them take my pet to the back room. They can do blood work in the exam room with me.

I'm a septuagenarian and as a child spent summers on my grandparents dairy farm. They always had 'barn cats, which they rescued as kittens thrown off by a$$es driving past their farm. Grandpa neutered the male cats himself. They also had a 'cow' dog used to bring the cows in from pasture for milking, a 'house' dog which was always a rat terrier mix that Gram used to take a hen to ground when she wanted to confine to a coop or to butcher for Sunday dinner. She also always had a 'pet' cat that slept in the house and shared the dog bed. Of course the cats hunted vermin so they had lots of protein. She fed all these animals separately one midday meal of oats mixed with table scraps (and always the bacon drippings from breakfast) and watered down milk so it was a thick slurry, plus the dogs had a 1/4 can of wet dog food added. All animals had lustrous coats and lived loooong healthy lives. NONE of them ever received any vaccines. Of course in the country there were occasional foxes, possums etc. Not one of the dogs or cats ever contracted rabies.

Wow…it’s so encouraging reading the comments here and seeing how educated the public has become regarding vaccines, their overuse and the harm they can cause. I have been on this mission of educating humans first and then pets and back in the day God help any one who dared to voice their opinion regarding vaccines on a message board. Your head would get chewed off!
I have experienced severe adverse reactions from vaccines in all three of my children as well as my pets. It has become very difficult to be an advocate for your pets these days but you can’t give up. I believe the younger generation of veterinarians have turned a corner on vaccines and are moving towards a more holistic approach to medicine and care. 🤞

This is so depressing. Vets I have seen hand me a schedule of when all shots are due. They never discuss her lifestyle or reactions to watch for. They tried to jab her while she was there for an ear infection. I can’t even find vets who offer the 3 in 1 instead 5in 1 or more. I feel like I have to protect my baby from doctors who I’m paying to help us.

Vaccines were never designed to work. They were developed for a eugenics program and the experiment still continues to this day. RKJr. has exposed this in court. They have no documentation on their efficacy.
If they can’t tell you what’s in the needle, don’t let them experiment on your pet. I got tired of all my pets dying early, so I opted out of the program with my last two dogs and I am pleased thus far. I do find myself in a dilemma though, because I’m told I can’t take my dogs to the clinic because I now put all the vaccinated pets at risk. I asked, how exactly does that work? Shouldn’t it be me that’s worried about the risk? EVERYTHING is so backward right now.

Then it made sense - kickbacks from insurance companies.

I cannot tell you just how much that I appreciate the education/knowledge of how and why to titrate our dogs. I began to use this system a year or so ago with my rescue who has titrated as "optimal" on all areas. Yes, I made sure my 2-year-old Lab/Staffy was fully vaccinated (using a Rabies vaccine with a mercury-free adjunct) after I rescued her from her rescue center with 200+ other dogs) and obviously a LOT of stress as a result of her early life.) I also began to feed Dr. Judy's lightly cooked food protocol, probiotics and so on and at age 4 she is very, very healthy. My former Labs who received the annual vaccinations per the schedule ALL died of cancer way to early. My girl does not go to dog parks, groomers, or doggie daycare and she sleeps indoors with me. I may do this 100% perfectly BUT I am determined to significantly "up" my beautiful companions' chances for a longer and healthier life.

I've had two kittens die of FIP over the years, and I blame the overuse of vaccines by the shelters that they came from, which ADMITTED that a large percentage of their cats under a year old die of FIP, likely due to vaccination required by the State (also an issue).recent studies on mRNA products prove that they increase all cause mortality significantly, and now they want to put it into products for pets and livestock. How do we get around this??

    • @tiffanyblue17

I’m very concerned abt this mRNA too…It’s my understanding that they (farma) do not have to disclose that they have included it! I own 2 rag dolls…they are notoriously vaccine sensitive, many die from toxic adjuvants. My decision after their kitten rounds, (I spread them out) is to not vaccinate them again. They are indoor cats only so why subject them to potential death or health issues unnecessarily is how I look at it. It’s come to pet owners having to make some tough decisions on the health of our fur babies…I can only hope more vets get off the money train, research and relearn their indoctrination schooling. 😢

Thank you for sharing such a well balanced presentation. Those of us who are in our 70s, 80s or 90s remember well that vaccines used to be administered in the first year of a dog's life, giving the animal lifelong protection. It's been heartbreaking to see how the trend towards annual "boosters" has caused adverse reactions and possibly even cancers in over-vaccinated animals. I always make sure my dogs get their puppy vaccinations, but sadly the rabies vaccination caused an almost immediately obvious heart-valve defect in my current dog. Annual rabies vaccinations are required by law here in Spain, but the veterinary cardiologist has signed a document confirming that any further rabies vaccinations (ie over-vaccination) could be fatal for my girl. In any case, the vaccine she already received actually says on the box (the manufacturer's blurb) that it provides immunity "for a minimum of ten years."

I usually vaccinate dogs until they are two, because I do not have titers available. But it sounds like since I do not have the titers available to me, I am a little confused by Dr Jean Dodds in one breath she says vaccinate in the next breath vaccines can last a lifetime. A big part of the reason I think people are going all in or all out when it comes to vaccines is because veterinarians will not let people choose what's right for their pets. In my area anyways, a friend of mine was just kicked out of her regular vet because she did not bring her dog in for yearly vaccines. You mentioned the vaccinations that have multiples in one shot, again we don't get to choose which one we get. I still don't know exactly where my vet stands on this topic as I'm too scared to ask and be left without a vet. I feel lucky that my vet was willing to euthanize my 14-year-old dog recently when he was at the end of his days because he had never actually seen my dog before. When my dog was young he had a different vet who refused to take him for euthanizing because it had been too long. I have a neighbor who had an elderly sick dog and they had to take care of it themselves because they couldn't find a vet willing to euthanize they all seem to want to push drugs and keep pets alive and suffering to make money. In a couple of days I'll be getting a puppy and I'm scared of being left without a vet just because I want to choose my pets preventative treatments.
I'm 45 I've had pets as an adult since the age of 25 and there's been a huge change imo. We used to be able to call the vet and go in to get whatever treatment tests that we wanted or needed but now we have to be a regular client, even if the pet is in distress. We used to have a great emergency vet in my town that now closed due to lack of vets. What are we to do? Rhetorical question of course but it's so difficult to have pets now.

Her sensitivity levels were off the map; postal boxes, gas pumps and highway over-passes were the worse...she wanted to eat them all. We felt so bad for the dog and tried our best to keep her away from anything that agitated her but it was so hard and so so sad. Knowing what we know now about how vaccines change behavior we gladly pay the ungodly price for titers. It's just horrible what vets do to pets in the name of profit 🤬. I have two questions. 1 - I have read that with the dead virus vaccines they have to use a often really toxic chemical (adjuvant )to stimulate immune response since the dead virus is not seen as a threat to the immune system. 2- After a time the circulating antibodies from vax or disease stop being seen in the blood and go to a chemical code in the immune system memory that will not be seen with a titter. Can these be answered sometime this week.

They are already testing it on animals. Money is made by sickness, not health.

We'll need more testing and medications, if they don't die suddenly. Will myocarditis be at the top of the list of injuries? Will the media broadcast some other reason for adverse reactions? Will the WHO take over all medical regulations by this May?

Maybe this will be in part 2. Thimerosal is a form of mercury and is used as an adjuvant plus a sanitizer (might not be the right word). So, when mercury is stated as an ingredient, is it also dual purpose?
There are thimerosal free feline rabies vaccines that use a virus as the adjuvant. Is that a safer option? My Veterinarian refuses to give any that are not from a certain company, even if I pay for the whole order. I don't know if they've entered some sole source contract or what. Doesn't seem that patient safety is the priority.

Hi I live in Texas. I do have a question about how long they last especially bordetella and distemper/parvo. I just moved in an apartment last week and they are requesting vaccines which I thought they only wanted rabies, nope. Rabies, bord and d/p. The last time he got vaccinated for d/p before I adopted him from the shelter in 2021 and hadn't got him vaccinated for that since then same for bordetella. What should I do ask for a titer testing?

My foster just got his booster shots, which is required before he can be adopted. I did ask for the rabies vax to be the 3 yr formula with the intention of getting him the titers test later to see if he can go without further vaxes for it. I must have misunderstood when he should get the titers test... would you please calrify? TIA

A TITER test is to tell if your dog has immunity already the antibodies show that in the blood work.

I’m only 12 minutes into this video, and I have lost so much respect for both of these veterinarians. “I’m not an antivaxxer”…??? Are you kidding me??? If you are not an anti-vaxxer at this point, you haven’t done the research. So much misinformation and propaganda…and I was a huge fan of Dr. Judy.
