Mine came in a much bigger box with the Obselisk support stick. I bought it in Febuary so probably the first batch. BTW, the white little sticker you moved is there to help you peel that plastic film off the top of the shroud.
I was thinking something like that at first but mine had no plastic film on it from that I can tell. Unless they have it on there so good that it looks like it's a part of the card.
@@Bigboss12024 That's certainly not right. Mines completely quiet (unless you put the fans to 100% which I never need to do) plus no coil whine on my model. So there must be something up with the fans I'd get a RMA if it's still possible.
Could you explain me why some people use it with 3 power cable and others with 4? What the differences? And... why you bought it and not Rog Strix? Thx
Some people do that so it uses less power and makes less heat. But you obviously get a little less clock speed when you do it that way. But the reason I went with this over the strix was it was cheaper but the main reason is this one is the quietest 4090 out there The only one that I can think of that would be quieter would be that Noctua edition GPU. Don't think this thing is beating to 120 mm fans. But also when I mean quiet I mean no coil line I heard the strix sometimes had some nasty coil wine and my old MSI gaming x trio also had really bad coil wine.
Nope it ended up being the riser cable. Funny enough the PC started up on camera but after shutting it off I decided you know what I'm going to see if it starts again but then it started going right back to giving me the vga light on the motherboard. But I liked the new GPU so much more so I just decided to keep it I'll just sell the other one I think or keep it around just in case one of my other two GPUs breaks then at least I have one instead of having to be like crap my computer's down.
Just wise investments made with college money with my social anxiety college would have worked out well for me anyway (they did not really do the college-from-home stuff then) so far with a little help from crypto happened to have some bitcoins left over after the first time bitcoin dropped value to being almost worthless. So I just held onto them then all of a sudden they became very valuable again so let some of them go to turn them into real cash. I still have 10 bitcoin left in my digital wallet.
@@Xamy- I'd like to think I'm young. But realistically I'm considered middle-aged at 37 so far I have just been doing stocks here and there and just letting interest build in the Bank which is about $2700 a month. It's Not crazy amounts but that's more than enough to have fun while saving.
Luckily this one is coil wine free which is the main reason I stuck with it and didn't put my other 4900 back in when I realized it wasn't the issue. My MSI gaming x trio was a super coil wine machine.
Love my galax 4090 sg, nice temps , no coil whine and quiet.
It's a great GPU I love how quiet it is my old 4090 GPU coil whined like crazy and the fans were pretty loud so I got this one instead.

@@XxViciousxX i seen the bubble under the white tab you peeled off. at least it looked like it in the video
hi, i just bought this one, but 4080S sg (same cooler of 4090)
ive noticed that the fans make a weird noise, like a car engine...

@@XxViciousxX nice. Make sense, thk you bro.
But with 4 cables and a little OC is easy it be better than rog in Oc mode?
Only if you onow

Thank you very much glad the main PC is back up and running.
👌
So... was the first 4090 the culprit in the end?

Any chance you would sell the galax?
Honestly, I like this GPU too much It is quiet has no coil whine, and can overclock well (though I just leave it stock as its so dang fast as it is.)
Im trying to find me one now but no one is even near retail
@@Mykelknowz Yeah seems like all 4090s shot up in price since I bought mine.
😁😁😁😁😁
That’s freaking me out my guy has 2 4090s , a 3090 ,a 6800xt laptop , steam deck, asus ally
I actually upgraded the 3090 to a 7900XTX to turn that PC into an AMD PC.
Jees
I actually was thinking to buy a new 7800xt
@@T00_WEAK00 That's a great GPU.
What was the cost of this?
Back when I bought it it was $1550.
