Watching from California USA . . . I didn't know Ethiopia had such a beautiful modern city! I now wish to visit !!! Thank you for showing the world the other side that they don't show us here in America.
you’re right, James. I’m Ethiopian living in the US. It surprising to me that many people in the US still believing Ethiopian and most African countries living in the top of trees.
I know the mainstream media doesn’t report what’s going on in Ethiopia. There’s an active genocide is going on which is supported by the government of Ethiopia. The government conducting an active war to its own people in the northern parts of Ethiopia to eradicate the Amhara tribe, the government uses drones and heavy artillery and killing students while they’re in the class room, farmers, children etc destroying hospitals clinics churches and other public properties the government soldiers reaping children and young women, there’s so many ugly horrifying things are going on in the country so don’t be deceived by this kinds of reports. It’s only this area looks nice and beautiful but millions of people lost their home and become homeless in one day, the government actively demolishing tens thousands of individual houses without any notices and proper re-allocation. So don’t listen to her she’s probably got paid by the government of Ethiopia so she can coverup things and deceive others. Of course TH-cam also pays her. There’s an active genocide is going on in Ethiopia that’s supported by the Ethiopian government.
Watching from Germany🇩🇪 . I've been 7 countries in Africa including Ethiopia too. Ethiopians are proud of their beautiful and varied country because they alone among African nations were never colonized. They've their own language , calendar , time schedule...and so on. The language English , French , Portuguese , Spanish ,... aren't African language . Why did African countries never replace their colonial language with their local native language to create more pride for their nationality ?!?
That should have been the first step to take after independence from the colonial masters. But the "independence" is only on paper and legality. The cultural and psychological influence of the colonial masters are still persistent in many African countries due to the decisions of Governments to retain the language of the colonizers as their working languages. As Africans we need to take pride in our culture, language and indigenous ways of living
Great point. We are super proud Nation. We don’t care whether you speak us English or not! We are welcome anyone who respects us and our country Ethiopia. Don’t expect most Ethiopian to speak English, because we are the only nation that is independent from western countries colonization! So we have our own languages! Mainly Amharic, Oromifa, and Tigregh! But some highly educated people speak well English language mainly. Besides that sister, have fun in Addis Abeba!💗
I spent 3 weeks in Ethiopia as a JAMAICAN in BOLE, ETHIOPA has a BEAUTIFUL well organized CLEAN city, when you go anywhere in the World always look at the CULTURE of the people it will reflect the whole look of the Country, a culture going back over 2,000 years, a BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ETHIOPIANS are❤
Yes, This is in our continent Africa. The people of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 are very hospitable and the head quarters of Africa. Kenya 🇰🇪 also are great country. I love Kenya !! You are beautiful !!!
New friend from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 Welcome to mother county of Africa 🌍 Ethiopia 🇪🇹 Thank you for visiting your other home we love you visit again and invite your friends 💕
To be honest, Ethiopia would have giant economy in Africa in recent future if it solved some problems like political, security, and good governance problems. But still I am optimistic about this country. Allah bless Africa and other continents too.
Nice video! Random guy just gave you free tour lol that's how hospitable and genuine most people are in that country. Bless that guy! Though you looked a bit annoyed from your tone.
Ethiopian 🇪🇹 guy watching this wonderful video by our beautiful Kenyan 🇰🇪 sister!! I really really appreciate you for showing our beautiful Addis Ababa and ancient proud Ethiopia 🇪🇹 to the world in such a great way!! You are very beautiful yourself and do keep on your great work please! Thanks! I subscribed and shared your video as well by the way!
I'm from Israel and i've a friend back home who served with me in the military for a long time. He's a Black Jew from Ethiopia and would often talk about his country btw what a great warrior. Once our service ended, I knew I had to visit. Our first stop was London we stayed with my family for 1 month, but we quickly headed straight to Ethiopia. I was amazed by the impressive infrastructure and captivated by how kind and beautiful the people are. להישאר בטוח
It's a well-known fact that Black Jews faced discrimination from the Amhara community, often subjected to derogatory names (such as evil eyes) and treated as untrustworthy. Ironically, these same individuals who belittled them were the ones purchasing their exceptional pottery and enjoying the food they prepared. The talent and craftsmanship of these Black Jews were undeniable, highlighting the hypocrisy in their treatment.
Growing up at home our neighbor didn’t come to church with us, now I know they were Jews. For the Ethiopians who didn’t know ,these people were persecuted at home too. I am so glad they went home. Don’t worry about the racism, didn’t you see all the great soldiers recently and for those Jews in Israel, just remember you are real Jews. Look at the Ethiopian culture and clothing. It resembles the ancient clothing of the Jews. The day the Ethiopian jews went to Israel is a good day!!! They are better off there and they will help their birth land.
I am Ethiopian watching from Virginia, it is recent development that Addis is shining. Long live to the visionary prime minister Abiy!!!! He is changing the image of the country and he loves Africa so much!!!!
Thank you for this video, those kind of videos are my favourite ones. This part of Addis Ababa looks realy beautiful and modern. I am really looking forward to see another yours video, maybe from different part of this city.
Thank you for showcasing the true beauty of Addis Ababa to the world. I must add, I’ve rarely seen someone as super attractive from Kenya as you. Welcome to Addis
I believe all African countries are making progress with their infrastructure. In Ethiopia, the recent developments around the city, known as the corridor development, are still ongoing in some areas. These efforts have improved walkways and are greatly appreciated. However, they also affect people every day. While we welcome the development, many feel the government should prioritize industries and agriculture instead. Spending billions on this type of infrastructure might not be the best timing, but the progress is still notable. For context, Ethiopia is transitioning to electric vehicles, with nearly 100,000 electric cars in use-about 10% of the total. They aim to increase this to 500,000 by 2030. Most buses in the city are also locally assembled, with 75% made in Ethiopia. If African leaders adopt the right policies and tackle corruption, we can develop the continent within 50 years.
Thank you for this video. The people of Kenya have been welcoming Ethiopians and Eritreans for decades, my sister passed through your country to come and join us. Thank you Kenya for being such a great host country. Addis looking great. I am happy. It looks absolutely amazing. For those of us who want to visit it from abroad will be heavily but I hope the Ethiopian people living there will get to enjoy it.
Thank you for being genuine. You speak your mind.If we work hard and fight corruption ,We Africans have a huge potential to show to the rest of the world and change that an old attitude of poverty.

One unique factor about Ethiopia keeping the natve language is because of Geez, the oldest language with its own alphabet.
