    Loved how you mixed the unboxing with presenting the efficiency features, keeps the video shorter and concise.
    Has anyone ran Linux on it yet?

    I have been following news about this since their release and it looks really really good with the whole temperature, battery and unplugged performance! I have an old 2019 beater with GTX1650, which still holds up for tasks ON CABLE. Worst part is it boots for 2 mins even with SSD, the fans are on full send from the moment it turns on, and it lasts like an hour on battery with around 30% of the speed XD
    You must be the first reviewer who compared it to the Steam Deck, which tbh is a very useful metric!
    I'm totally getting one of these babies as soon as they land in Europe!

      I'm in love with this laptop. It's everything I ever wanted out of a windows device. I kind of wish there was a dgpu but the ark graphics is good enough

      I did. Performance improved with every update. This is the performance to be expected. Hoping for more with the core ultra 9

    Thank you for reviewing this non-gaming laptop. I've been considering upgrading my laptop and after examining the older Zenbook 14, this new variant with the updated chipset has caught my attention. Love this new Zenbook's features like the OLED screen, new chip with the NPU (maybe some future proofing for the next couple of years), portability and a robust, durable body all contribute to its appeal.
    Given that this laptop is a 14-inch model with a 16:10 aspect ratio, I'm curious about your thoughts on the choice between a 14-inch and a 15.6-inch laptop. I've been contemplating the pros and cons of both sizes and would appreciate your insights on this matter. I (know the 14 inch is currently the only Zenbook with the new chipset.)

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've had lots of 16:9 15 inch laptops in the past. So the best way to think of it is the 16 inch 16:10 is the same as a 15 inch 16:9 but with a slightly taller screen. 14 inch is essentially a taller 13 inch if it was 16:9. So a 15 inch is a bigger laptop. If you want a larger 16 inch screen there's going to be lots of other options.
      For me personally, it's hard to decide. I love a larger screen, but also like a smaller and lighter laptop too. I haven't decided 100%. I go back and forth a lot. It's definitely a tough decision

    I'm in search for a laptop for programming btw, thank you for your review! Did you update the firmware by any chance? The rumors are that the chips was power-limited iirc, and the update fixes that problem - you'll get a nice lil performance boost

      No I haven't!! I've been continuing to do research on it and since updates it seems like a brand new chip now. I want to get in another thin and light core ultra laptop and do an update. I no longer have this laptop.

    Hey will these chips get into gaming laptops with nvidia chips ? Or is it restricted to thin laptops

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's made more for thin laptops. But I have seen some thin laptops with this chip and a 4070. Hopefully I can get to test one of those soon

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm honestly not sure since I don't play that game. But a good rule of thumb is it performs similarly to the steam deck. So if the deck could do it, then the Intel core ultra can

      OLED laptops never go higher than that it seems. It looks really bright though since the contrast ratio is instant and HDR gaming makes me squint sometimes. Only issue is when using outdoors I wish there was more brightness to combat glare

      While FP8 packaging like ryzen7 7840S have better performance, save more energy, better at image and sound processing.
