That decluttetung is surprisingly effective. Even if I don't sell anything, I often find stuff I had that was hidden and I would have otherwise purchased again. On various occasions I have found 3 different jars of cumin spice, 6 containers of butter (all in my fridge at once!), and pair of pants (that fit) with tags on that I hadn't worn in the year since I bought them. SMH. 🤦🏾♀️
I've been doing the decluttering thing but I like the idea of creating a calendar reminder to do it once a quarter! And it's nice to have a number to get to like 100, it helps keeps you accountable and makes it so you actually try haha. Another thing I wish people would do is declutter their financial lives too. Like stop having a bunch of bank accounts you don't use. It's fine if you have 7 and use them all for something, but if they're just sitting around, close it! idk. It just makes me worried they're gonna get hacked or something and not notice bc they don't use the account
Yes!! Also a common misconception for some people is that closing bank accounts can affect your credit, so I hope we can spread the word about getting finances more organized 🗃
I really liked the idea of decluttering before you shop. I like the idea of clothing capsules. My niece was stressed about starting her first real job after college with a large prestigious international institution. I recommend she make her mornings easier and less stressful by setting up her wardrobe for the week on Sunday including shoes and jewelry. It helped a lot and made her aware of needs (no money for wants, lol). She put out the call for appropriate cast off clothes from friends and family because she didn’t have her first paycheck yet. Her mom had a friend with a budget for class designer clothes and frequently got new ones. My niece gladly accepted her cast offs and got a few dresses a month that were great for her job (2-4).
@@kenyonbissett3512 I love that for your niece!!! good for her! Another thing I've done with friends are clothes swaps... as long as we're around the same size, we link up and bring our bags of clothes we no longer want. It's stuff we're going to donate or trash anyway, so we give each other clothes' and the clothes get to have a 2nd life!
@@wealthforwomenofcolor excellent idea! My niece has a daughter now and she is 2yrs ahead of one of her friends of 25 yrs. She passes down her daughter’s clothes to her. That little one is built so tiny with this big mop of hair for a 1.5yr old, so precious.
aw thank you for watching!!! ahh i was more worried that my face was too shiny 😅 so i appreciate the comment. Will take tips on mattifying my makeup haha

Right??!! Omg on the cumin spice 😂 at least for the clothes you can still use them, or sell them especially if they have the tags on!!
@@wealthforwomenofcolor Oops! I spelled decluttering wrong! 😂 😂 I wore the pants last week 😊
Or for me 4 pairs of scissors, all the same kind.

Oh I do those free trials all the time and just cancel them 1 day before the subscription is up
Nice! It’s nice to try out the service… or even just use it temporarily, even if you don’t plan to keep it
Women of color? Only? Yikes.
Where did you read the word “only”? 🤔
I just ignore the Women of Color, since all women need the info, lol.
