I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have,making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience.If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but are not equipped enough for a crash, hence getting burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020, just after the pandemic to date. Thanks to Caroline Suzan Olson, she has been the one managing my portfolio.

I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts with experience since the 08' crash.

Dealing across multiple asset classes can reduce risk more effectively than putting all of your money into one. If you don't understand finances properly, see a financial consultant.

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

I get it! It's not the answer you want to hear but there are an unlimited amount of ways you can get to 6-figures through investing. Exactly what investments are "right" for you will depend on your risk tolerance, how much $ you have, your time horizon, etc -- so just be careful taking any specific investment advice from anyone on the internet if that's what you're looking for

Unfortunately I can’t tell you exactly what to invest in without knowing more about your financial situation and risk tolerance- but the general rule is, diversify to lower your risk!

Ah yes exactly thanks for pointing that out! That is NOT researching! I can’t say everything in the comments are scams but many times they are! Find financial professionals online, locally or through trusted contacts, then utilize tools like FINRA broker check, find a CFP, and/or other places to check that people have the credentials they say they do
