Thank You for Your time. Nice work and good luck
Thank you and I’m glad it helped.
Awesome shooting.that 57.1 group seems have really low es in both tests but like you said the hotter weather might make the 57gr load walk into the 57.1 area.If possible splitting that tenth of gr might be golden.57.05gr. Your setup is working great and you are going to have a Amazing nationals.Good Luck
Thank you!
Thank you Great Video
Personally I use N560. It’s 5 more better than triple nickel. Also I can’t find n555.
At 300 yards that’s awesome shooting
Thank you
Hey mate, looking to get some comments on “Overton Windex’s” claim of a cold bore 2100 yard shot on a red bull.
looks like good PC from 57 on up
Yeah cool an nice Ladies we know what you mean John 😂😅
Wish you the best for the Nationals 👍
Thank you
Why all the load testing, different components, or lots, or bored?
I go through roughly 5 barrels a year, shoot about 6000rds a year and compete at high-level matches so I’m constantly doing load development.
Why am I blowing primers ? Low to moderate pressures, clean barrel. New bartline barrel k new gun.
Berger Hybrids, lapua brass, 284 shehane
Not enough data. You need to state propellant type and charge level. How do you determine the pressures are moderate? Primer brand and type as well. Action type and firing pin protrusion.

You may be bumping your shoulder too far, which allows your firing pin to pierce your primers.
John, what electronic target do you use...I am looking to get one.
Thanks
John, what do you make of the consecutive fps decline (in both tests) for 57.1gr, 57.2gr, and 57.3gr? (43fps and 40fps drop between 57.1 and 57.3gr). Also it's only +3fps and -3fps difference at min charge vs max charge. I'm a bit baffled by this. Any insight? Thanks.
Those velocities are measured by ShotMarker at the target and there is a pretty large margin for error. When we take out the Shotmaker we discount the velocities at the target and rely on the Garmin next to the rifle for measuring SD and ES.
I would like to see 57.4 57.5
hello good evening. What ballistics application do you use to graph the shots? thank you
If you mean the one in this video, it's part of the Shotmarker target system.
Are you running a 8 or 9 twist barrel?
I never run an 8. Only 8.5 and 9
@@FClassJohn thank you. I think I'm going to order a Krieger 4 groove HV 9 twist for 1000yd benchrest . Im chambering it with 7prcw turn neck reamer. Again thank you for all you do for the shooting sport. You have awsome content.
Are you using a Tuner on this rifle ?
Yes. I have a Cortina v2 on it. If you look at the group labels, you can see the letter T with the number 30 after it and that is my current tuner setting.
