Nissan Micra / March K11 - Transmission Reverse Light Sensor Replacement
In this video I will replace the Gearbox Reverse Light Sensor in a Nissan Micra 1.0 16V.
If your reverse gear light doesn't come on, you can first check if the lamp is ok or even if you don't have a blown fuse.
To make sure that your sensor is broken, put the reverse gear with the ignition on and with a multimeter measure the voltage at the Lamp connection, you should have 12V.
If you've checked the fuse and you don't have the 12V you probably have a damaged sensor and need to replace it.
