I was actually a bit happier for Natalie to be Vickie's daughter than Jessica to be Vickie's daughter. At the time, she became one of my favorite soap characters. She's actually my favorite female soap character. I disliked her character at first because she was so mean to Jessica, but the gradual changes that they made to her led me to like her more and more. That's Melissa Archer getting great character development as Natalie Buchanan.

After Bo was nice to her, her demeanor changed and she became their protector. She never lost her except when she was being John's doormat. But at least she got to be part of the family.

Yes, Natalie had some bad breaks in her life, but so did Jessica, despite Jessica growing up in wealth. Natalie and Jessica were both excruciatingly cruel to each other that were far beyond any "normal" sibling fights. The entire long Natalie/Jessica feud was more vicious than both the Dorian/Viki and the Nora/Lindsay feud. _None_ of them...Clint, Viki, Roxy, Alison, Mitch, John, Nash, Natalie and Jessica...were blameless in this long, complicated family war. Being a member of the Buchanan/Lord family is not all it's cracked up to be, despite the wealth and community prestige in that small town.

Well...with revisionist history we actually saw Natalie's birth... The great thing about the storyline of Natalie being the biological Buchanan was that it actually was plausable. It gets less and less plausable with Nat and Jess being twins but for the most part people just suspended belief because Jessica became Viki's biological daughter again. Besides how outrageous the conception/paternity of both the girls and their births -- it could have happened, and that's what I liked about the SL.
I think it’s more plausible because it fixes the plot hole of “wouldn’t Viki be able to tell the returned kid wasn’t hers?” Mothers know their babies. This kid WAS hers, and Viki, unlike Niki and Jean, didn’t know there had been two. (Also Roxy is the widow of the Dr Balsom who delivered Viki’s baby in the 1986 episode, and Viki didn’t even remember being pregnant at all with Megan.)

I started watching 2007-200ish after NBC Cancelled Passions was shocked to see earlier videos of her being cruel cause my time watching the show she was eccentric and quirky but she wasn’t that bad. And it funny how Rex and Natalie went from think Roxy and the Dr were parents being full siblings to no blood relation to half brother and sister sharing Clint as their father. So sad Charlie wasn’t his father cause if memory serves he loved Rex and Shane from the jump while Clint was all “you just want my monay” which technically isn’t even his but his daddy Asa the founder of BE. I still can’t believe OLTL was highest rated ABC (even GH) and NBC Days Of Our Lives (was born watching) yet still got cancelled based of ratings wise if they had to keep one should’ve been OLTL as they were highest on Network and even beating out another Network’s Soap but Brian Fronz hated all Soaps except GH which don’t know why and therefor despite the number canned OLTL and saved GH only for OLTL replacement show the Revolution only lasting like 6 months was so happy when I heard that got cancelled cause OLTL was such a good show. Only 3 of the 4 Soaps I’ve watched that was premiered in my lifetime was Passions just 5 days after my 4th Birthday 1999. So sad how little Daytime Soaps there’s left 4 about to be 5 as CBS is in talks of making a new Soap first since 1999 Passions on NBC.
It is possible, however rare, for twins to have different fathers. The mother has to have slept with at least 2 different men w/in a short period of time but it is possible. In Nat/Jess' case, tiic said, Viki slept w/Clint then Mitch raped her. TIIC said both were conceived around the same time & both were eventually born the same day. Genetically, they are said to be just half-sisters but they did share a womb & were born on the same day which also makes them twins.
Natalie is minutes older. Nat was supposedly born, Clint took her to see the family, Viki then gave birth to Jessica as an alter (I think Niki), and Mitch took Jess. The baby born Jessica lived w/Roxy & Walter Balsom (Vik's OBGYN who was in on it) & raised as Natalie Balsom.

I started watching 2007-200ish after NBC Cancelled Passions was shocked to see earlier videos of her being cruel cause my time watching the show she was eccentric and quirky but she wasn’t that bad. And it funny how Rex and Natalie went from think Roxy and the Dr were parents being full siblings to no blood relation to half brother and sister sharing Clint as their father. So sad Charlie wasn’t his father cause if memory serves he loved Rex and Shane from the jump while Clint was all “you just want my monay” which technically isn’t even his but his daddy Asa the founder of BE. I still can’t believe OLTL was highest rated ABC (even GH) and NBC Days Of Our Lives (was born watching) yet still got cancelled based of ratings wise if they had to keep one should’ve been OLTL as they were highest on Network and even beating out another Network’s Soap but Brian Fronz hated all Soaps except GH which don’t know why and therefor despite the number canned OLTL and saved GH only for OLTL replacement show the Revolution only lasting like 6 months was so happy when I heard that got cancelled cause OLTL was such a good show. Only 3 of the 4 Soaps I’ve watched that was premiered in my lifetime was Passions just 5 days after my 4th Birthday 1999. So sad how little Daytime Soaps there’s left 4 about to be 5 as CBS is in talks of making a new Soap first since 1999 Passions on NBC.
Roxy never struck me as quirky or eccentric.
I suspect she just learned to hide her cruel streak better around the Buchanans.
It is possible, however rare, for twins to have different fathers. The mother has to have slept with at least 2 different men w/in a short period of time but it is possible. In Nat/Jess' case, tiic said, Viki slept w/Clint then Mitch raped her. TIIC said both were conceived around the same time & both were eventually born the same day. Genetically, they are said to be just half-sisters but they did share a womb & were born on the same day which also makes them twins.
well they did the same storyline with Days of Our Lives

It SUCKs that One Life to Live was cancelled from ABC 8.years ago and it has been 7 years since it was cancelled on Hulu because stupid legal issues.

Natalie is minutes older. Nat was supposedly born, Clint took her to see the family, Viki then gave birth to Jessica as an alter (I think Niki), and Mitch took Jess. Later, Alison Perkins took Nat (who was the 1st Jess) and returned Jessica back in her place like 2 weeks later...Nat was dumped with Roxy and her husband...then somehow years later Rex was dumped with them, too.

Brizzle B thry are twins, I doubt we will ever have definitive proof of which was actually born first, with all the switching and kidnapping etc, and not doing genetic sampling at time of birth etc, well never know.

As much as I love Natalie, this story is lame. We saw Jessica born onscreen in 1986.

She had been hoping that Jessica would be proven _not_ as Viki's bio daughter, so she wouldn't have to share the Lord/Buchanan fortune.
Allison switched them b/c Mitch told her to. It was said that Mitch took Jessica (the girl known as Jessica today) right after birth & no one realized Viki gave birth to a 2nd girl. Later, Jessica (the girl now known as Natalie) was kidnapped from Llanfair by Allison who was pretending to be Niki. After about 4 wks Allison brought Jessica (the girl known as Jessica today) back & gave Nat to Walter & Roxy Balsom. Mitch said he wanted Clint's daughter to have nothing & his to have everything...

@m0sthated80 Melissa Archer was cast to be the bad girl version of Jessica; back when Jess was supposed to be a nice All American girl. Natalie Balsom now Natalie Buchanan Banks has since changed into a good girl on the show and thus she has become a favorite of mine.
