- I think we have enough 'cancer' posts, the last one just saying 'cancer'. Tom was an amazing magician and illusionist so it wasn't as bad a reality as it looked. That's why they call it magic. He passed away 30 years later from something completely different. There's also some real witty and funny comments here. Let's keep those going instead of having to read another 'cancer' comment notification. Thanks and enjoy!

Edit: To those people that are slamming me claiming it is very impressive for a guy that "eats cigarettes" for a living to live to 64 years old, Tom Mullica died due to "Complications following a hernia surgery, which led to several strokes and his eventual death." He didn't die because of his habits, his life was cut short by an unrelated medical issue.
So yeah, it's not impressive. I bet the bastard would still manage to live to 75+.

This routine has some great elements in it. At 3:50 you can see him setting up a little pile of napkins while he misdirects the audience by waving a napkin in front of Letterman, and as he stuffs that napkin into his mouth, he palmed the wad of cigarettes and tissues into his hand. If you blink, you'll miss it! Watch it in slow motion. Pretty remarkable!

When he offers a napkin to Letterman, you'll notice right before he accepts the offer, the magician waves the napkin as a visual misdirection to lead your eyes over to Letterman, and away from himself. Watch very closely as he stuffs the very last napkin into his mouth. You'll notice right before he stuffs it in, his mouth opens wide and his palm covers his mouth. He's pushing the wad of cigarettes and tissues out of his mouth with his tongue, while simultaneously stuffing that last napkin in. This is pro level sleight of mouth!
