√x +2/√x = 3
Let us subtitute X= √x in the equation. We get, X + 2/X = 3
So, X^2 + 2 = 3X ; X^2 - 3X + 2 = 0
We factorize , ( X - 1) ( X - 2 ) = 0 .
We have two solutions : X = 1 or X=2
For X = 1, X = √x = 1 so, x = 1
For X = 2 , X = √x = 2 so, x = 4
Therefore x = 1 or x = 4.

I am a eigth grader from Germany, so I'm sorry if my grammar or spelling is not completely correct.
I don't understand all of your videos because I am just to young tho I really enjoy watching your videos! (especially the ones I understand😅)
But can we also solve this equation/task (I dont know how to call it🙃) in another way like this? :
√x +2/√x = 3. (Then we take everything ². Then we have:
x+ 4/x = 9. (Then we do × x. Then we have :
x² + 4x = 9x (Then we bring it to one side so that we have) :
x² - 5x = 0.
This doesn't make any sense to me so I don't know where I made a mistake or maybe I just don't know how to complete it from here

You can't square both sides to have
X + 4/X = 9

Thank you!!! I dont know why but I must have missed that part. I think when I had my original Idea in my head I calculated it partially also in my head. That's when I must have missed it.
