i always wondered how I saw famous TH-camrs go to Japan and stay there for so long. here, i finally explain how to stay in Japan long-term! this is the video i always wanted 😝hope you enjoy!!
Hi tokuyuu! I have been very interested in your posts about Japan since I also love the country and I was genuinely happy to hear about this PR point system they have! I would also be coming to Japan in the hopes of getting a license certificate so this video reaaallllyy helps! Thank you so much for this and my sincere congratulations to you!!! 🎉🎉 よくできました!
My dude! Congrats! I remember when you were getting ready to come over here and now you're a permanent resident! That's so cool! It's genuinely exciting to hear it working out for someone who's put in the work for it. Gonna have a beer in your honor!
@@s.k.bradford297 SK Bradford!!! i missed seeing your name in the comments 🥹✨ thanks so much for the kind words, definitely been a long time coming. thanks for supporting since the beginning. it’s an honour to have that beer in my name 🙇♂️
definitely working on getting faster at making vids! just gotta go through the process of getting better 🙏 good luck with the studying, glad to hear my video could help!! 😙
Congratz you've definitely worked hard to get here. Inspiring for a Japanese learner like myself who is still stuck in tourist status, my only consolation is I live in Asia so I still get to visit several times a year XD
@@HayashiManabu ahhhhh cheap flights from asia is definitely clutch!! and thank you so much 🥹✨ was definitely a lot of work all culminating to this moment. Appreciate your kind words 🫶
Congratulations man! I wish I knew some of those points earlier, but it's good to know that it's not completely impossible. Another motivation to keep on studying as well. :)
Bro.. Congratulations like really.. The hard work that came before your Residency would not go Unnoticed.. In this video you made it look easy as Pie.. But bro.. Very happy for you T-T Congratulations
ahhhh man thank you so much for the kind words 🫶✨ i def make it look like “only 2 years!” to keep it simple, but i appreciate you understanding all the work that goes into it underneath. thanks for spreading love and thanks for watching!! 😙
Thank you for reminding me about this. I learned about this a while ago, but I forgot about this. I am currently near the end of my Student Visa and I need to figure out what to do next in order to renew my Visa. I now realize that I could become a permanent resident on the next Visa after that.
@@BrilliantHandle ahhh glad my video could help!! definitely nice to have PR since you don’t need to worry about renewing visas all the time 😮💨 good luck!!! 🥳
At 9:24 not sure if something's wrong with the video but the card is blurred out. Jokes aside, for the income part of the application, is that the amount that you're making outside of japan? Tokuyuu be hitting 100k soon!!!
That’s an incredible feature to have a small reward for graduating from a renowned university! It’s nice to see my Alma mater there (McGill) and I know Queen’s is stellar since I lost a business case competition to them before 😂
Holy smokes, huge congrats mate! First getting a dream job in the country, now this. Man is winning life. XD Makes me a bit worried with the test regarding age, though, with how many points one loses. By the time I'll be in Japan, it'll probably be in the range of 35, close to 0 points given that one will have to accumulate work experience and years of living there as well.
awwww thank you so much!! still don’t feel like im winning life yet, but PR was def a solid win 🥹 yeahh only 5 points once you’re 35, but my understanding with the work experience is that it doesn’t need to be in japan! worth looking into
@@TokuyuuTV Regardless, you're doing fantastic, and it's clear you're having the time of your life there, and you're showcasing a life that's a far cry from so many people who love to parrot that working in Japan is depressing compared with being there as a tourist. XD Keep up the great work! Aye, that's what I'm relying on as well. I just graduated days ago with my first undergraduate degree at 31 and I'll build up about 2-3 years of industry experience in my home country and learn JP like never before before apply for jobs there in UX and UI. So with another 2-3 years of experience while living there, hopefully by then it should be possible to apply for PR with 70 points. ^^
isn't it just easier to marry a nice Japanese girl and procreate some new Japanese citizens? why complicate things? there are even traditional match-maker services! come on, man...
@@exponentzero ahahahaha wouldn’t mind helping japan with it’s declining population. but better to choose a partner when the timing is right rather than for getting PR!

You got it. I came to Japan when I was already over 30. And have one of the worst passports in the world. I'm now 5+ consecutive years into my 10-year grind because there's no other option, other than going through naturalization (possible after 5 years), but the problem is that my pos country won't allow me easily lose my nationality, if at all. So I'm not positive I can even get naturalization. I can't imagine it now but I hope can do PR some day before I die while archiving that. For now, just stressing out each time I renew the work visa. It's like waiting for a sentence or something.
@@HaohmaruHL wowww your home country won’t allow you to give up nationality? i wouldn’t even think a country would have jurisdiction over that…. i can imagine that it feels like a sentence every time you renew. Praying you make it out alright 🙏
