    David,
Thanks for another video. It is interesting how many people don't understand the advantages of running 4-cycle RC engines on alcohol fueled spark ignitions over a glow plug. Glow ignition is a compromise in fuel ignition efficiency and in having a fixed ignition timing from idle to full throttle. I have done both gasoline fueled spark ignition and alcohol (glow) fueled spark ignition conversions. I changed all of my gas fueled spark ignitions conversions over to the glow fuel with spark ignitions and back to the glow fuel carbs.
Granted, installing the spark ignition conversion on either gas or glow fuel does increase the cost of the power plant installation and requires a battery voltage source for the ignition module. With using gas there is also the increase in installation cost by having to purchase a gasoline carb to replace the glow carb. However, there is definitely an operating cost savings by using gasoline rather than glow fuel but all of my conversions run better and much cooler using glow fueled ignition conversions than with the gasoline fuel.
I have found that with spark ignition compared to glow plug ignition (with the timing set correctly for the ignition module and the carb settings optimized) I experience easier starting, better throttle/rpm transitions, more uniform running and a noticeable reduction in fuel consumption for the same RPM/Power. Also, there is no need for going over the less expensive 5% nitro-methane in the glow fuels when using spark ignition. I have even mixed 190 proof (95% by volume) commercial ethanol with Klotz for lubrication without any nitro and the engines ran just fine. My suggestion for those who want only to save money by moving to gasoline fuel is to purchase an engine specifically designed for gasoline. I have the 2-stroke OS, Evolution, and DLE engines designed for gasoline but I still prefer the sound of my 4-stoke engines.

Great sound and transitions excelent after the your little touch at the end of video, to be an air bleed carb love twins, specially 120 version.

Simply read the description on the video. The items I used for this engine came from this one featured in these videos.

    Hi
    Love your post.
I have the same engine and looking to do exactly this conversion. Where do I get the timing rings and what is the timing on the motor.
    Kind regards
    Bobby

The description of the video tells the components I used. They are the exact same ones I used in these two videos.
