The green fruit (cà na) is Canarium album, common name: Chinese white olive.

We love how Vietnamese food is so different from region to region. We haven't seen those green olive-like fruit before. that looks really interesting.
We've tried chicken feet a few times, but haven't acquired a taste for it yet. A friend of ours told us it's really good for your skin, so that's a plus!

Wow Phu Quoc is a lot bigger and busier than I had thought! Very interesting vlog. That green fruit..I've been to Vietnam twice and have never seen it. Chicken feet is a regular staple at Dim Sum places (though I have never been a fan). Looked like a cool night market though! I am a seafood lover, so I definitely would have loved the options there. Looking forward to seeing you guys back in Thailand!

Roasted chestnut is really popular in South Vietnam, not sure in the North though.
In 2015-2016 or so, roasted chestnut was everywhere, now it’s down a bit though..it’s here and there..

Hey! When I lived in Puerto Plata, I would see chicken feet as an option all over the place, but I never had the courage to try it! I guess you wouldn't really see it as much in the touristy areas like Cabarete and Las Terrenas 🤔 Thanks for the upcoming exclusives. I can't wait to see them! Take care!

Chicken feet are chewy, usually as drink food. I prefer the chinese style as "fung chao", much softer then on a grill or boiled.

I have never eaten chicken feet, but I do use them to make the most awesome chicken broth you will ever have. It is nothing like the broth you find even in health food stores, because it is not watery but is literally the texture of jello. Thanks for the laugh Trevor. I would probably look similar to you, if I ever tried to eat a chicken foot. 😎

Ya gotta go to a proper Chinese dim sum and have chicken feet. You will notice the difference in taste and texture. What you had looked over cooked and not marinated properly

How you know it's not marinated properly when you haven't tasted it yet? Trevor only described the texture in the clip. My opinion is the chicken feet of Vietnamese street foods better with chewy texture and flavor, I tasted the one in Chinese dim sum and it was too soft. Good source for collagen and good exercise for teeth though.
