Gotta say, this game is really fun to play with friends, and while less extreme than in mkwii, shortcuts are fun to pull off here! You should definitely do online rooms every once in a while!

very interesting shortcuts indeed. I'm fairly new to MK8DX but I'm already really enjoying 200cc. I've already done some smaller shroomless short cuts and skips, can't wait to learn some of the bigger short cuts!

Since I am competetive player in 200cc mk8d I must say I am impressed you can at least manage these cuts. They are not perfectly optimized done but you are doing p well for not being into that game too much. More mk8d and I am in!

This game has a lot more shortcuts than we give it credit for. MKWii spoiled us with broken cuts, but this game has a ton too, and they’re more balanced with better risk/reward distribution
Yeah, but this game mostly has generic grass cuts
@@flashallen4419 This game has insane techs too such as Motion Glider, which allows for insane lines and cuts mostly on 150cc that were never thought possible before
@@flashallen4419 Plus, if you remove all glitch cuts from MKW, it doesn't have much more than grass cuts too, except for a few gap jumps like Mushroom Gorge or DK Snowboard Cross

Similarly to Mario Kart Stadium you can do a glider skip around the final corner of Dolphin Shoals. Thought this was so neat when I did it messing around on 200cc! 👌

You can actually do the piranha plant shortcut in Yoshi Circuit shroomless on 150cc. Charge an orange miniturbo coming out of the tunnel, then hop off of the red-and-white strip and fly between the piranha plant and the wall and land back on the other side of the road.
I would love a 150cc short cut video, since that is what I play with my friends. And like you said it’s actually harder to pull them off.
I didn't know there were this many shortcuts in mario kart 8. I always loved wii for it's broken shortcuts and while most of these aren't really broken they are still sick.

These cuts are pretty obscure, I would personally recommend JPGivin’er’s shortcut tutorials and I think Mankalor has a video with almost all shortcuts. But I think those are just 150.
Troy is not only the king of shortcuts in Wii but all Mario karts.

I watch almost all your MKWii Videos however I have never played this game and I do it, because it is very entertaining. My game is MK8DX, which I play quite often and I wish you would have more content about it. I believe you have many subscribers like me, who actually play MK8DX and never played MKWii and love your content because you are able to entertain us while playing. You should not feel bad because you are not an expert in MK8DX, that's not the point of watching such videos and by the way you play this MK8DX very well! I think you should get this opportunity, because there is no other MK channel which is entertaining as yours and we would all appreciate if you could at least once in a month release some MK8DX content and even play with NMeade. :) Maybe you should just do some serious time trials in difficult tracks, watch some bullet and mushroom strats videos and I'm sure you could also become an expert in this game too, if you want. As much as I like Mario Kart 8, I'd still say the Wii version reigns supreme with the vehicles, custom tracks, and physics :)
Since I do main 150cc would be amazing to see a 150cc shortcut video. Although I am familiar with them with would still be cool to see.
